¨ Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
¨ Carefully inspect the new urinal for damage.
¨ Roughing-in remains the same when using the optional 3” outlet spud.
¨ Fixture dimensions are nominal and conform to tolerances by ANSI Standard
A112.19.2 and TIS.
¨ Site preparation may require additional tools and hardware.

1. Prepare the Site

¨Turn the water supply o.
¨ Install or relocated the supply tubing and waste pipe as neccessary to conform
to the roughing-in dimension.
¨ Install the shut-o valve.
¨ Install adequate support framing as needed.

¨ Carefully position the urinal on the wall hangers.
¨ Verify the urinal is properly positioned, then remove the urinal from the wall.
NOTE: If adjustment is neccessary, make vertical adjustments along the slots
on each wall hanger until the urinal can be tightened to the collar.
¨ Install permanent screws into the holes on the hangers, as shown on the
installation template.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not overtighten the cap nuts.
Overtightening may damage the product.
¨ Carefully position the urinal on the wall hangers, then secure the urinal to
the collar (for K-4918X, secure the urinal to the bracket) using the washers
and screws provided.

2. Install the Urinal
¨ Reference the installation template and position each wall hanger at its proper
vertical dimension above the outlet hole show on the template. To allow for
vertical adjustment, place the initial screws through the center of the slots on
the wall hangers.
¨ Apply thread sealant tape to the pipe threads on the drain and install the collar
to the drain.
¨For K-4918X only, Center the bracket on top of the collar. Secure two screws
through the slots on the bracket and into threaded holes on the collar.
¨ Place the gasket onto the collar with the beveled surface facing away from
the collar.

3. Complete the Installation

¨Pour 1/2 gallon (1.89 L) water into the trapway.
¨Check for leaks. Repair as needed.
¨Pour 3 ounces (89 ml) of sealing liquid (provided) into the trapway.
The sealing liquid will oat on top of the water in the trapway.
¨ Place the strainer in the drain hole.

Care and Cleaning
To keep the Kohler urinal looking and performing its best, it is important to
follow these care and cleaning procedures.
Use the Kohler products listed below for optimum care and cleaning results.
These products can be purchased from a Kohler distributor or call 0 2204 6222

Daily Cleaning
¨Spray the Kohler cleaner over the outer surfaces of the urinal. Allow
some cleaner to run down the drain.
¨Allow the cleaner to stand for approximately one minute.
¨ Wipe the outer surfaces with a clean, non-abrasive cloth.
¨ If necessary, repeat this procedure for heavier soils still present on the
urinal.
To minimize odor and avoid sediment build-up in the trapway, it is important
to ush out your waterless urinal every two weeks. Please follow the Required
Bi-Monthly Flush-out Cleaning. procedure below.
Required Bi-Monthly Flush-Out Cleaning
¨Repeat the daily cleaning procedure.
¨Using a small screwdriver or bent wire, carefully li the strainer vertically
from the drain. Clean the strainer and set it aside.
¨ Quickly pour one gallon of water directly into the drain. Do not let the
urinal overow. This will purge the residual urine and sealing liquid.
¨ Unscrew the spray nozzle from the cleaner bole. Pour 1 oz. (30 ml) or
2 tablespoons of cleaner directly into the drain.
¨ Allow the cleaner to stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
¨ Pour two gallons of water directly into the drain as quickly as possible.
Do not let the urinal overow.
¨ Pour 3 oz. (90 ml) or approximately 1/3 cup of sealing liquid directly into the
drain.
¨ Reinstall the strainer.
