Tools and Materials
Before You Begin
Observe all local building codes.
Prior to installation, unpack the new product and inspect it for
damage. Return the product to its protective carton until you are
ready to install it.
Select the type of fastener based on the wall material. Fasteners
must have a minimum of 20 lb (9.07 kg) load bearing.
Install the wall fasteners to a stud or bracing to avoid possible
property and product damage.
Install sufficient bracing when installing this product in an area
with unfinished walls or in conjunction with other components in
the same Kohler Suite.
Do not complete the finished wall until the plumbing rough-in
has been completed.
Establish and install the plumbing rough-ins in the correct
location before beginning installation of the shelf. Remotely locate
the shut-off valves (such as below a vanity).
Kohler Co. reserves the right to make revisions to the design of
products without notice, as specified in the Price Book.

1. Prepare the Site
Determine the finished height and centerline of your lavatory rim.
Mark the determined lavatory rim height and center on the
unfinished wall.
IMPORTANT! The 2x4 brace must be at least 21″(53.3 cm) in length
to properly support the shelf.
Install a 2x4 brace so the vertical center of the brace is 8-3/4″
(22.2 cm) above the marked lavatory rim height.
Notch the studs to provide support for the brace.
Determine the centerpoint of the lavatory along the unfinished
wall and mark the brace.

2. Roughing-In
Plumbing
IMPORTANT! The rough-in plumbing must extend 3″(7.6 cm)
beyond the finished wall.
Remotely locate the shut-off valves (for example, below the
vanity).
Install the rough plumbing according to the roughing-in
information shown. Notch the brace, if needed.
Install the finished wall.
Angle-Poise Mirror (Optional)
Using a 2-1/2″hole saw, cut a hole at the ″Optional Angle-Poise
Mirror Rough-In Location″on the shelf.
Remove any debris from the cutting process.

3. Mount the Hanger
Install the vanity and lavatory according to the manufacturer’s
instructions.
Using a pencil, mark the wall at the centerpoint of the vanity at
the rim of the lavatory.
From the marked point, mark 8-3/4″(22.2 cm) above the rim of
the lavatory. (1)
Center the bottom of the hanger at the pencil mark, then level the
hanger. (2)
NOTE: Use a minimum of three fasteners, spacing them as far apart
as possible.
Mark the mounting hole locations of the hanger, then confirm the
marks are level. (3)
Drill the holes at the marked mounting hole locations.
Secure the hanger to the wall with fasteners. (4)

4. Complete the Installation
Open the access panel on the bottom of the shelf by removing the
screws.
Secure the faucet spout and handle to the shelf. Refer to the
faucet manufacturer’s instructions.
Slide the shelf over the wall-mounted hanger.
Secure the shelf to the wall-mounted hanger with the screws
provided.
Attach the supply hoses to the supply stops as directed in the
faucet installation guide.
If applicable, fixture-mount the angle-poise mirror. Refer to the
angle-poise mirror manufacturer’s instructions.
Tuck the plumbing lines into the access panel. Do not kink the
plumbing lines.
Close the access panel and reinstall the screws.
Turn the water on, then check for leaks.
Make sure the water stream is directed to the center of the
lavatory. Adjust the direction of the water stream as needed. Refer
to the faucet manufacturer’s instructions for adjustment methods.

Respecter tous les codes de construction locaux.
Avant l’installation, déballer le nouveau produit et l’examiner
pour en déceler tout dommage. Remettre le produit dans son
emballage de protection jusqu’à être prêt à l’installer.
Sélectionner le type de fixation selon le matériau du mur. Les
fixations doivent avoir une capacité de support minimum de 20 lb
(9,07 kg).
Installer les fixations murales à un montant ou support afin
d’éviter un endommagement éventuel de propriété et de produit.

Installer un renfort suffisant lors de l’installation de ce produit
dans un emplacement à murs non-finis ou conjointement avec
d’autres composants de la même ligne Kohler.
Ne pas compléter le mur fini avant le raccordement de plomberie.
Établir et installer tous les raccords de plomberie au bon endroit
avant de commencer l’installation de l’étagère. Placer à distance
les valves d’arrêt (telles que celles sous le meuble).

1. Préparer le site

Marquer la hauteur déterminée de rebord du lavabo et centrer sur
le mur non-fini.
IMPORTANT ! Le renfort de 2x4 doit être d’une longueur minimum
de 21″(53,3 cm) pour supporter correctement l’étagère.
Installer un support de 2x4 de manière à ce que le centre vertical
du support soit à 8-3/4″(22,2 cm) au-dessus de la hauteur
marquée du rebord de lavabo.
Rainurer les montants pour fournir un support au montant.
Déterminer le point central du lavabo le long du mur non-fini et
marquer le renfort.

IMPORTANT ! La plomberie de raccordement doit s’étendre de 3″
(7,6 cm) au-delà du mur fini.
Placer à distance les valves d’arrêt (par exemple, sous le meuble).
Installer la plomberie de raccordement selon l’information de
raccordement illustrée. Rainurer le renfort, si besoin.
Installer le mur fini.
Miroir Angle-Poise (optionnel)
Avec une scie circulaire de 2-1/2″, découper un orifice à
″l’emplacement de raccordement du miroir Angle-Poise
optionnel″sur l’étagère.
Retirer tout débris du processus de découpage.
