Before You Begin
The valve is sold separately. Please read the instructions packed
with the valve for installation procedures.
Please read all instructions before you begin.
Shut off the main water supply.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Complete the finished deck material before installing.
Before installation, unpack the new faucet trim and inspect it for
damage. Return it to the carton until installation.
Kohler Co. reserves the right to make revisions in the design of
faucets without notice, as specified in the Price Book.

1. Remove the Pipe Plug
WARNING: Risk of personal injury. Lines may be pressurized.
Do not lean over the pipe plug when turning or removing the
plug.
Make sure the valves are closed (cold = fully counterclockwise;
hot = fully clockwise).
Turn off the main water supply.
Wrap a rag around the pipe plug to prevent water spray.
IMPORTANT! Water may purge from the supply tube when you
remove the plug.
Carefully remove the pipe plug.

2. Prepare for Spout installation
NOTE: Before installing the spout sleeve assembly, make sure the
O-ring is properly positioned in the groove on the outside of the
sleeve.
If the hole for anti-twist screw has not been created do so now.
Drill a hole using a 3/16″drill bit. The hole should be located
3/4″(1.9 cm) from the center of the spout hole.
Back off the setscrews in the spout sleeve assembly.
With a twisting motion, place the spout sleeve assembly over the
spout supply assembly and push down to the deck surface.
Align the sleeve with the setscrews offset from the center (not
facing directly forward or backward) of the supply tube.
Tighten the setscrews.
If the spout supply tube needs to be cut, cover the spout sleeve
assembly before cutting to prevent the chips from being lodged in
the O-ring.
Measure and cut off the supply tube 1/2” (1.3 cm) maximum
above the top of the spout sleeve assembly.
Remove all burrs from the supply tube to prevent damage to the
O-ring seal on the sleeve.
Uncover the spout sleeve assembly.
Carefully clean off any debris.
Purge the spout supply tube of debris.

3. Install the Spout
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Use care when installing
the spout assembly to prevent damage to the O-ring seal.
IMPORTANT! Keep the spout supply tube clean above the finished
deck to avoid damage to the O-ring seal.
Close the valves (hot = clockwise, cold = counterclockwise).
Apply a ring of plumbers putty or other sealant around the
underside of the spout base according to the manufacturer’s
instructions.
Position the spout base over the spout supply tube and slide
down. Align the anti-twist screw with the drilled hole.
Carefully press down until the spout contacts the finished deck.
Tighten the setscrew.

4. Install the Stem Adapters
Remove the plaster guards.
Close the valves (hot = clockwise, cold = counterclockwise).
Install a spline adapter to each valve stem.
Thread an escutcheon over each sidebody extension until it
bottoms out. Hand tighten.
Choose the appropriate size stem adapters based on the finished
deck/tile thickness. The sizes are as follows: small deck,0–1/4″
(6 mm), medium deck 1/4″(6 mm) – 3/4″(1.9 cm), and large
decks 3/4″(1.9 cm) – 1-1/4″(3.2 cm) thick. Use a small stem
adapter for rim and non-tiled deck applications.
Place the stem adapter into the sidebody extension and push it
down over the spline adapter. Position the stem adapters with the
rounded surface (″D″) positioned as shown.
To realign the stem adapters remove them, then remove and
rotate the spline adapter until the desired alignment is found.

5. Install the Handles
Use a small screwdriver to place a retaining ring over the stem
adapters inside each sidebody extension.
Assemble euro, cross, stacked, and lever style handles by aligning
the ″D″shape of the valve stem and hole in handle.
For lever handles, ensure the O-ring is behind the threads.
Secure the handles with a screw.
6. Complete the Installation
Turn off the water (hot = clockwise, cold = counterclockwise).
Remove the aerator assembly.
Turn on the main water supply and check for leaks.
Turn on the hot and cold valves and run water through the spout
to remove debris. Check for leaks.
Turn off the hot and cold valves.
Reinstall the aerator assembly.

Compléter le matériau du comptoir fini avant d’installer.
Avant l’installation, déballer la garniture du nouveau robinet et
l’examiner pour en déceler tout dommage. Remettre le robinet
dans l’emballage jusqu’à l’installation.

1. Retirer le bouchon du tube
AVERTISSEMENT : Risque de blessure corporelle. Les
canalisations peuvent être pressurisées. Ne pas se pencher sur le
bouchon du tube au moment de le tourner et de le retirer.
S’assurer que les robinets soient fermés (côté froid complètement
vers la gauche, côté chaud complètement vers la droite).
Fermer l’alimentation d’eau principale.
Enrouler une serviette autour du bouchon du tube pour
empêcher l’eau de gicler.
IMPORTANT ! L’eau pourrait s’écouler du tube d’alimentation
d’eau lorsque le bouchon est retiré.
Retirer le bouchon de tuyau avec précaution.
