Friendly Ways to Help Control Pests Warranty
Many pest problems can be prevented by making it difficult
for new pests to get into your home by limiting their access
to food and water. Keep a lid on your kitchen garbage.
Keep any loose food in airtight containers. Do not keep
pet food or water out overnight in your home. Make it difficult
for pests to get water in your home. Repair plumbing leaks
and drain the liquid from cans and bottles that you may
be storing in your home before you recycle them. Don’t let
extra cardboard boxes, paper bags, old magazines, or
newspapers accumulate in your home as they may provide
additional nesting places for pests.
Don’t allow tall grass, thick ground cover, mulch, or piles of
leaves to accumulate next to the foundation of your home.
Pests may establish themselves in these areas and this
increases the chances of them entering your home. Keep
shrubs and tree branches away from your home, as this
allows another pathway indoors for pests. Screen all vent
openings, including crawl spaces, attics, or laundry vents.
Cracks around the edges of doors and windows should be
repaired. Make sure window screens are fitted properly and
doors are weather stripped to prevent pests from entering
through these areas.
This KOOLATRON product is warranted to the retail consumer
for 90 days from date of retail purchase, against defects in
material and workmanship.

- Damage caused by abuse, accident, misuse, or neglect.

IMPLIED WARRANTIES
Any implied warranties, including the implied warranty of merchantability
are also limited to duration of 90 days from the date of retail purchase.

sales receipt with this manual.

A Koolatron Master Service Centre must perform all warranty work.
Service after warranty may be obtained at a Master Service Centre
or at an authorized service dealer. Purchase Receipt is required
to establish warranty eligibility.

PESTCONTRO® has produced an innovative breakthrough in
pest control, with millions of Koolatron™ units in homes and
offices around the world.
Simply plug the PESTCONTRO® into an unobstructed wall
outlet in the room to be covered by ultrasonic sound power.
Coverage in a room can be improved by bouncing the sound
off reflecting objects such as walls, mirrors, cupboard doors,
and appliances. Obtaining a ricochet pattern will increase
effective coverage.
The ultrasonic sound benefits will be effective throughout
the living area of the home, only if doors are left open.
Ultrasound cannot transmit through walls and doors.
There will be a stronger effect of ultrasound within the
roomwhere it is placed. If you would like additional
ultrasound protection, we recommend you purchase an
additional PESTCONTRO® or call Koolatron™ for information
on Koolatron™ electronic products.
Will PestContro affect appliances or pets?
PESTCONTRO® will not affect computers or appliances. It
generates ultrasonic sound waves which are above the normal
hearing range of humans, dogs, cats, fish, and birds.
These ultrasonic frequencies CAN be heard by rodent pets
such as hamsters, gerbils and rabbits. However, by positioning
the product in areas away from the rodent pet you will not
cause discomfort for the pet.
How do I know that PestContro® is working?
The RED LED indicates the electromagnetic function is on.
The GREEN LED indicates the ultrasonic function is on.
Koolatron™ recommends continuing the use of your current
pest control methods when installing PestContro® products
for maximum results as part of your total pest control program.
How many units will I need?
The PESTCONTRO® will transmit sound estimated to cover
an average size home. Some homes will need multiple units
throughout the home for adequate effectiveness. Because
each home is different, set the unit in the problem area and
monitor your results.
PLACE PESTCONTRO® IN AN UNOBSTRUCTED, CENTRALLY
LOCATED ELECTRICAL PLUG FOR MAXIMUM PROTECTION.
If adequate results are not obtained in a specific room, relocate
the unit to an outlet within that room.
SOUND ‘SHADOWS’
Ultrasonic waves travel in
a straight line like audible
sounds, echoing off non-
absorbing materials to fill
a room. Sound absorbing
materials such as carpets,
drapes and soft furniture
will reduce the unit's range.
‘Shadow’ areas may occur
around corners or in nooks
and crannies where the
sound waves cannot hit.
