CAUTION
Before use, please make sure to read the instruction manual.
Do not operate the pump out of water or insufficient water.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock. This pump is supplied with a grounding conductor and
grounding-type attachment plug. To reduce risk of electrical shock, connect only to a
properly grounded, grounding-type receptacle.
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, INSTALL ONLY ON A CIRCUIT
PROTECTED BY A GROUND-FAULT CIRCUIT-INTERRUPTER (GFCI).
NOTE
This pump has not been investigated for use in swimming pool or marine areas.
This pump has been evaluated for use with water only.

1. In cold climates, do not allow pump to freeze.
Remove pump from water to prevent damage due to freezing.
2. Completely drain and dry pump of water before storing.
CAUTION
The pump is used a double mechanical seal.

INSTALLATION AND USE
• An acceptable motor-control switch shall be provided at the time of installation.
• Thermally protected
1. This pump works under an automatic surface control
system whereby it is automatically switched on and off by
a float switch.
2. The pump starts automatically when the water level rises
and the float comes up to the ON water level, and stops
automatically when the water level falls and the float
comes down to the OFF water level.
3. The ON and OFF water levels can be adjusted by
loosening the cord band bolt. However, the length of the
cord between the cord band and the float switch should
be between 50mm and 150mm, otherwise the float switch
will not operate normally.
4. The float switch should be installed where it does not
come into contact with walls or is any other obstructions.
5. The pump should not be installed where water is
discharged directly onto the float.

CAUTION
1. Leak Current Breaker
For home use, attach a leak current breaker, GFCI (offered separately) to ensure safety.
2. Connect the power source
Absolutely refrain from connecting this pump to any other power source than 110V
AC or 220V AC, 50Hz.
3. Water to use
Absolutely refrain from using the pump for any oil, sea water, strong alkaline or strong
acidic solution, or any agricultural chemicals.
4. Do not run dry!
Idling can cause trouble, to prevent short cycling place pump at deepest position as possible.
5. Handling of power cord (cabtype cable)
a. Never lift or move pump by power cord. Only lift by handle or tie rope supplied to handle.
b. Select and use proper size extension cord. Do not run extension cord in water.
6. Using in bath, etc.
Do not enter the water when pump is being used.

EN MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION
1. Periodically check the insulated condition with a megger tester.
To be acceptable, the resistance between the earthing wire and the power cord should
be 100Meg ohm and higher.
2. The shaft of the water-tight mechanism as the most critical part of the pump is sealed
with liquid paraffin. The life changes greatly depending on the operating condition but
the quantity should be checked periodically.
Use 230cc of Crystol No.70 by Exxon Mobil Corporation for the sealing. The liquid
paraffin can be checked easily by removing the hexagon socket head bolt at a lower
side of the pump body.

ATTENTION

N'utilisez pas la pompe hors de l'eau ou avec insuffisamment d'eau .
AVERTISSEMENT
Risque de décharge électrique. Cette pompe est fournie avec un conducteur de terre
et une de branchement pour la mise à la terre. Pour réduire le risque de décharge
électrique, connectez-la uniquement à un récipient de type terre correctement mis à
la terre.
POUR RÉDUIRE LE RISQUE DE DÉCHARGE ÉLECTRIQUE, INSTALLEZ-LA SEU-
LEMENT SUR UN CIRCUIT PROTÉGÉ PAR UN DISJONCTEUR DE FUITE À LA
TERRE (DDFT).

Cette pompe n'a pas été étudiée pour un usage en piscine ou dans des zones
marines.
Cette pompe a été évaluée pour un usage avec de l'eau uniquement.

APRÈS AVOIR UTILISÉ LA POMPE
1. Dans des climats froids, ne laissez pas la pompe geler.
Sortez la pompe de l'eau pour évitez des dégâts dus au gel.
2. Vidangez et séchez complètement la pompe avant de la stocker.

INSTALLATION ET UTILISATION
• Un commutateur de contrôle du moteur doit être fourni au moment de l'installation.
• Protection thermique
1. Cette pompe fonctionne avec un système de contrôle de surface
automatique par lequel elle est automatiquement allumée ou
éteinte via un interrupteur à flotteur.
2. La pompe démarre automatiquement lorsque le niveau d'eau
augmente et que le flotteur monte jusqu'au niveau d'eau ON, et
s'arrête automatiquement quand le niveau d'eau baisse et que
le flotteur descend jusqu'au niveau d'eau OFF.
3. Les niveaux d'eau ON et OFF peuvent être ajustés en déserrant
le boulon de la bande du cordon. Cependant, la longueur du cor-
don entre la bande du cordon et l'interrupteur à flotteur devrait
être comprise entre 50mm et 150mm, autrement l'interrupteur à
flotteur ne fonctionnera pas normalement.
4. L'interrupteur à flotteur devrait être installé à un endroit où il
n'est pas en contact avec des parois ou toute autre obstruction.
5. La pompe ne devrait pas être installée à un endroit où l'eau est
déversée directement sur le flotteur.
APRÈS AVOIR UTILISÉ LA POMPE
1. Dans des climats froids, ne laissez pas la pompe geler.
Sortez la pompe de l'eau pour évitez des dégâts dus au gel.
2. Vidangez et séchez complètement la pompe avant de la stocker.
ATTENTION
1. Disjoncteur de Fuite
Pour un usage domestique, attachez un disjoncteur de fuite, DDFT (offert séparément)
pour assurer la sécurité.
2. Branchez la source d'alimentation
Reliez cette pompe uniquement à une source d'alimentation de 110V C.A ou de 220V
C.A., 50Hz.
3. Eau à utiliser
Évitez absolument d'utiliser la pompe pour du pétrole, de l'eau de mer, une solution
acide forte ou alcaline ou forte, ou pour tous les produits chimiques agricoles.
4. Ne faites pas marcher la pompe à sec !
La marche à vide peut causer des problèmes. Afin d'empêcher le fonctionnement en courts
cycles, placez la pompe aussi profond que possible.
5. Manipulation du cordon d'alimentation (câble cabtype)
a. Ne jamais déplacer ni soulever la pompe par le cordon d'alimentation. Soulevez la pompe
uniquement par la poignée ou la corde fournie pour la manipuler.
b. Choisissez et utilisez une rallonge de la bonne taille. Ne faites pas passer la ral-
longe dans l'eau.
6. Utilisation dans une baignoire, etc.
N'entrez pas dans l'eau lorsque la pompe est utilisée.

MAINTENANCE ET INSPECTION
1. Vérifiez périodiquement l'état d'isolation avec un mégohmmètre.
Pour être acceptable, la résistance entre le fil de mise à la terre et le cordon d'alimen-
tation devrait être de 100Meg ohm minimum.
2. L'axe du mécanisme étanche étant la pièce la plus fragile de la pompe, est scellé avec
de la paraffine liquide. La durée de vie varie considérablement selon les conditions de
fonctionnement mais la quantité doit être vérifiée périodiquement.
Utilisez 230 cc de Crystol N° 70 d'Exxon Mobil Corporation pour l'étanchéité. Il est
possible de contrôler facilement la paraffine liquide en enlevant le boulon à tête creuse
hexagonale sur le côté inférieur du corps de la pompe.

GE
NACH GEBRAUCH DER PUMPE
1. Lassen Sie es in kalten Klimazonen nicht zu, dass die Pumpe einfriert.
Holen Sie die Pumpe aus dem Wasser, um einen Schaden Aufgrund von Einfrieren zu verhindern.
2. Bevor Sie die Pumpe aufbewahren, lassen Sie vollständig das Wasser ab und trocken sie.
VORSICHT
Die Pumpe wird als doppelte mechanische Dichtung
verwendet.
