Safety instructions
If the device ha been expo ed to great temperature change , do not witch it on immediately. Conden ation
water may damage your device. Leave the device witched off until it ha reached room temperature.
The la er mu t only be u ed for how . Any operation ha to be attended and upervi ed by a killed and well-
trained operator.
Never leave thi device running unattended and keep it away from children and unauthorized per on .
Keep away from heater and other heat ource . In order to afeguard ufficient ventilation, leave 50 cm of free
pace around the device.
Never direct the la er beam to people or animal .
CAUTION LASER DIODE: If you open the device for cleaning, alway di connect from main !
HEALTH HAZA D! Never look directly into the light source, as sensitive persons may suffer an
epileptic shock!
The e la er are con idered a definite eye hazard, particularly at the higher power level , which WILL cau e eye
damage. So the e la er erie model upplied with a key witch to prevent unauthorized u e, warning label and
aperture label affixed to the la er.
In tallation afety
Prior to in tallation and operation of the la er, the path of the beam and effect hould be con idered,
particularly with re pect to how they will reach the audience. If direct audience canning i de ired, then the la er
energy in the effect need to be con idered to decide if the effect are afe for direct viewing. Alway en ure, that
the maximum permi ible expo ure (MPE) i not exceeded in the area acce ible to the public. So in tall the la er in
uch a way, that minimum di tance and height en ure the MPE i never exceeded in the public area. When
audience canning i performed, an operator ha to be pre ent. An ea ily acce ible emergency witch ha to be
in talled. When etting up the la er, make ure the la er i affixed firmly, to avoid vibration .

OPE ATING THE LASE
Don’t remove the warranty/ erial number label - removal void warranty
The operator ha to make ure that la er radiation – for la er cla 4 al o reflected la er radiation – higher than
the maximum permi ible level i avoided by technical or organi ational mea ure . (E pecially with re pect to the
MPE, ee above.)
Make ure to u e the correct voltage. U e a power ocket with earth/ground. Don’t use dimmer, C, or other
electronically switched ocket . Whenever po ible, don’t u e the la er together with large appliance ,
e pecially fog machine , on the ame main !
If the device i u ed in a flying in tallation, the mounting bracket and an appropriate afety-rope mu t be afixed.
In ome countrie , the operator mu t notify the accidence in urance and the authority for indu trial afety, before
operating a la er. For more information, contact the relevant authoritie .

If thi device will be operated in any way differently than de cribed in thi manual, the product may uffer
damage and the guarantee become void. Furthermore, any other operation may lead to danger like hort-
circuit, burn , electric hock, etc.

Keep urrounding dry and clean. Thi unit hould be keep dry, do not u e in the rain or damp and du ty
environment, don’t put liquid fileld container on the device. Projector hould be put in a water-proof hou ing
when operated out ide.
Regularly open the device ( ee “cleaning” further down) to check for du t in ide, or if fog fluid conden e in the
hou ing (if o rearrange hazer and/or la er po ition).
Operating temperature i 50~95°F (10~35°C). In a new in tallation, check after ome 15-30 minute whether the
outlet air get too warm. Regularly check the in ide for du t depo it , e pecially around the fan . Let la er cool off
10minute after 2 hour of operation,to en ure maximum lifetime for the diode.
Di tance between la er aperture and projection creen hould be not le than 1 meter.
Do not turn device on and immediately off again frequently.
Do not look into the la er beam directly, e pecially not with optical in trument .
Do not touch the device with wet hand .
When the la er diode become dim or broken, plea e contact your dealer.
When returning la er to dealer/manufacturer alway u e original packaging.
Maintenance hould be performed every 15-day period. See “cleaning” further down.
To en ure maximum lifetime of the la er:
Don’t overheat the la er:
•Alway en ure good ventilation
•Don’t have tage light (e pecially moving head ) directed toward the la er
•Regularly clean the fan and the interior from du t
•In a new in tallation check the temperature after 30 minute of operation
Keep the la er dry
•Make ure fog/hazer fluid doe n’t conden ate in ide the la er - fog ha to be in front of the la er – not
in ide
•A few day after (each new) in tallation, open the cover to check if fluid conden ate in ide
•If fluid conden ate in ide, repo ition the la er or fogger/hazer
Turn the device off, when not u ed. The diode i on, when the device i on. Even if it i not lit.
Using the laser
Caution – use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified
herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
Make ure the correct voltage i u ed. Connect main . Connect an emergency witch or the remote control unit
( ee below) to the 9-pin connector on the back ide (pin 1 and 2). If you do not wi h to connect an emergency
witch, connect the 9-pin plug in tead (for te ting purpo e only).
Depending on the mode elected ( ee below), la er light hould come out of the opening on the front panel – be
careful.
emote control unit
The unit i equipped with a remote control unit. Here you
find the following control :
Key witch: key can only be removed in off po ition. Turn
off the blanking ignal of the la er .
Emergency witch: when pre ed the beam i blocked
mechanically ( hutter). To relea e, turn clockwi e (arrow ).
La er emi ion i turned on after a 6 econd time delay.
La er emi ion indicator i on, a long a the mechanical
hutter i open.

•ENTE : confirm change , or go down in menu
•UP/ DOWN: change DMX addre

ILDA mode
When an ILDA compatible interface i connected to the la er, the la er i automatically witched to ILDA mode.
Output i then controlled from a PC running oftware.
The la er u e pin 4 and 17 of the ILDA ignal to detect the pre ence of an ILDA interface.
Further information can be found in the oftware manual.
Please note: the canner are et to a can peed of ca. 22000 PPS at ca. 30° canangle. If you increa e the
can peed, fir t reduce the canangle (image ize). Otherwi e you may damage the canner ! When u ing with
different can peed/ canangle readju tment of the canner driver may be nece ary, if in doubt, contact your
dealer.

Maintenace / cleaning
Alway di connect from main before cleaning/opening the la er. You can open the device by removing the top:
remove the mounting bracket (4 quick lock ), the eyebolt , and the crew along the top cover.
Regularly clean the interior from du t, e pecially en ure operation of the fan . To clean the mirror , ideally u e
acetone and len cleaning paper (fold paper to get an edge with which to clean the mirror ). If not available, you
can al o u e window cleaner, and a paper towel. Be careful, even light cratche reduce the output power of the
la er; alway clean with troke in one direction, to minimize the effect of cratche . Mirror need cleaning, when a
“halo” i noticeable around the beam, or an unu ual high amount of diffu e light can be een in ide the device.
When fog fluid conden e in the device, clean all trace , and rearrange the po ition of fazer and/or la er.

Change scanner
1. Un crew UK M6 crew and di connect ignal
cable.
2. Loo en M4 x 10 crew and remove galvo.
3. In ert galvo, reconnect and fix ignal cable.
4. Rotate galvo to center projection. Fix galvo.
Adjustable mirror mounts
Loo en et crew , then adju t with X/Y adju table crew . Make
ure beam i centered on canner mirror . Adju t Z- crew
imultaneou ly Tighten et crew .
When combining beam (RGB la er), fir t make ure the beam are
(roughly) on the ame pot on the mirror /dichro . Then u e a te t
pattern (e.g. rectangle) to do fine adju tment. For adju tment ,
alway turn output power down (if po ible).
