1. Open thebattery compartment cover using a coin.
3. Replace thebattery compartment cover and turn clockwise
until it stops.
2. Insert a3V lithium battery into the battery compartment with
the polarity (+ ) facing up as marked.

Connecting Earphones (Optional Accessory)
Note: When theearphone is connected to the Phone Jack ( ),the speaker will be disconnected.
*Earphone is anoptional accessory
You can attach an earphone with astereo mini-jack plug to the phone jack ( )for private listening. The volume can be adjusted
using VOL + and VOL - on the remotecontrol or on thePlayer .

Connecting DIGITAL-TV Antenna
Toreceive digital TV and radio, you need to connect an antennato the player. Follow these steps:
1.Plug theantenna cable into the antenna socket on the Player.
2.Place theantenna on any surface.
3.The antenna hasa magnetic base which can be attached to any metal surface.

Two antennapoles are included for vertical and horizontal placement. When
placing the antennaon a vertical surface, a 90 degree-bend antenna maybe
used. To change, simplyunscrew the pole from the base and replace with the
other pole.

Suggestions to Improve TV Reception
You will significantly improve your TV reception by following
these tips.
1. Place theantenna near the windows.
2. Place theantenna on a metal surface especially of large
surface such asmetal chair, table, cooking pot, coat rack,
radiator, handetc.
3. Orient theantenna in different direction untila best
reception is obtained.
Note: This Players usesactive (powered) antenna, the
amplifier provides anincreased signal level compared to
passive (no power)antenna.

Connecting to a TV
TIPS
If you wishto view video on your TV only, close thedisplay panel of your DVD player.
With the displaypanel shut, use the remote to control DVD player.
1. Turnoff DVD player and TV.
2. Connect theaudio and video cables as illustrated below.
3. Turnon DVD player and TV.
4. Repeatedly pressTV/Video button on your TV to select the input from the DVD player.
You can enjoy DVD quality video on your TV screen.

Using USB Port
USB slot
Pluging a USB device
1. Plug inthe USB device to the USB port on theplayer.
2. Repeatedly pressTV/DVD/USB to select USB mode.
Removing a USB device
You can remove the USB device anytimeeven it is playing. To remove the USB device, simply grasp the endof the USB and remove it
from the slot.
Playing a USB device
The player accepts mostUSB devices such as MP3, DSC, USB- drive, Digital Camcorder etc. The USB in this Player supports
version 1.1/2.0.
1. Insert theUSB device and repeatedly press TV/DVD/USB to select USB mode. The file manager appears and the firstsong file of the
first folder plays.
2. Use directionkey ( and ) to selectthe file you want to play and press toplay.
Note:
If you havedifferent file types (photo, music, video) in theUSB, make sure you have selected to display allfile types ( see " Displaying
and Sorting Files")otherwise, some file types may not display.

Using the AC Adaptor
Important !
Always turn off the DVDPlayer before connectingor disconnecting the AC cord.
. Using adifferent type of adaptor may cause malfunction ordamage to the product.Only use theAC adaptor supplied with this player
When the AC adaptor isused for prolonged period of time, the adaptor mayheat up, this is normal and is not acause for concern.
When not usingthe adaptor, unplug it from the outlet.
This portable DVDplayer can be powered by AC through thesupplied switching power AC adaptor. It canalso use the
supplied battery packto power.
When theAC adaptor is connected to the unit and powered,the unit will be automatically and electrically disconnected fromthe
battery pack andpowered by the AC power.

Using the Battery Pack
Installing the battery pack
<1>.Align and insertthe battery
pack into thecorresponding
slots on theback of the unit.
<2>.Slide the batterypack to the
left until it clicksinto place.
Removing the battery pack
<1>.Slide down thelatch. <2>.Slide the batterypack to the
right, and remove.
Charging the battery pack
1. Attachthe battery pack to the Player.
2. Use theAC adapter to charge the battery pack. Makethe connection as illustrated below.
3. Slide POWER to OFF. ( The Player must be turned off to chargethe battery).
During charging, thered and green LEDs blink alternatively.
When the batteryis fully charged, the orange LED stays lit .
When the Playeruses battery for power, steady red LED lights.
If the batterypower is low, the red LED blinks.

Cautions in Using Battery Pack
Danger!
Strictly follow thesesafety information when using the battery pack, Otherwise, ashort circuit, overheating, smoke, fire,
or damage tothe product may result.
Never disassemble ormodify the battery pack in any way. Do not touchthe terminal of the battery pack with a metalobject.
Do not place the battery packin direct sunlight, dashboard of avehicle, or high temperature place. It can cause explosionor fire.
Do not expose the battery pack to water, fire, or heat.
Always use the includedAC adaptor when charging the battery pack.
This battery pack is designedexclusively for your portable DVD player. Do notuse it with other devices.

1. Do notdrop or subject to strong vibration.
2. Keep outof reach of children.
3. The battery pack may leak fluid that is harmful toyour eyes.
If this fluidgets in your eyes, wash eyes immediately with largeamounts of running water and get medical attention immediately.
If the fluidgets on your skin or clothing, wash immediately withwater.

1. If youdo not plan to use the player for amonth or longer, remove the battery, but charge the
battery every threemonths. This will extend the battery life aswell as prevent the battery from
leaking chemicals andhaving other safety issues.
2. Do notuse the AC adaptor or battery pack fora prolonged period of time during recharging.
3. Keep thebattery pack free from smoke, steam, moisture, and dust.

Watching DIGITAL TV
1. Make surethe unit has the power either from the batteryor
the ACadaptor.
2. Make surethe antenna is connected to the player.
3. Slide POWER on the Playerto ON, The player will start in
TV mode.
Preparation for TV Operation
First Time TV Setup
When you firstuse the TV, the Player automatically starts the
installation wizard, followthrough the instruction to setup your
TV program.
2. Select Country and press toconfirm.
3. Use toselect and press to change country .
4. The language and time zone will change automatically
according to thecountry you selected. But you still can
make change.
Note: if you wantto change the OSD language to your preferred
language follow these steps
1. Press SETUP on the remote control
2. Select System Setup and press toconfirm.
3. Select OSD and press toconfirm.
4. Use thedirection keys ( ) to selectOSD language you want,
press on theremote (or ENTER on the Player)to confirm.
5. Press SETUP to get out.
1. Select YES and press onthe remote (or ENTER on the
Player) to confirm.
5. Select NEXT to continue.
6. Select YES to start scanningfor TV channels and radio
stations, and thePlayer begins searching and listing the
available channels.
7. Aftercompleting the searching, the Player displays the first
TV program on the list. To change TV channel, use / CH+,
/ CH -.

Watching DIGITAL TV
Changing TV Channel
You can change TV channel thefollowing three ways:
1. Press /CH+ or /CH - .
2. Enter thechannel number directly.
3. Press todisplay TV channel list, use to
select channel, press to confirm andview.

Displaying Electronic Program Guide (EPG)
1. Press EPG to display theElectronic TV program guide.
2. Use / CH+ or / CH - to select program,and then press
to view programdetails.
3. Press EXIT repeatedly to getout.
Displaying Teletext
1. Press TELETEX to display theteletext.
2. Use tonavigate content or key-in page number to view
different pages.
3. Press EXIT repeatedly to getout.
Displaying Current Channel Information
Press DISPLAY to display theinformation of current channel.
Muting
Press MUTE to silence thesound, press MUTE again to
restore it.
Watching Your Favorite TV programs
1. Repeatedly pressFAVORITE to turn onthe favorite function,
and FAV ON appears on the screen.
2. Use / CH+ or / CH - to view thefavorite TV programs you
have set upin the section of Setting Up FavoriteProgram
List, Changing Order, Deleting Program.
3. To turn off the favoriteTV program, press FAVORITE, and
FAV OFF appears on thescreen.

Listening to Digital Radio
You can listen to high quality digital radio program withthis Player.
1. Press RADIO to change toRadio.
2. Use / CH+ or /CH- to change satiation.

Setting Up Favorite Program List, Changing Program Order, Deleting Program
Setting up favorite program list
You can pick programs from your entireprogram list and make
it your favorite.And when you turn on the FAVORITE function,
you can watchonly these favorite programs. The favorite
program is markedwith a .
Changing program order
You can change the order of theprogram, this is the order it
follows when /CH+ or / CH- is pressed.
Deleting program
You can permanently delete the program usingdelete function.
1. Press SETUP on the remotecontrol to access Main Menu.
2. Select TV Setup and Press toconfirm .
3. Use thedirection keys ( ) to selectProgram List
and its sub-menu.
4. Press toconfirm your selection.
5. Select Exit or press SETUP to exit.
