proidethecorrectpowerconnectiontoarack,refertotheratinglabelslocatedontheequipment
intheracktodeterminethetotalpowerrequirementofthesupplycircuit.
•(Forslidingdrawers)Donotpulloutorinstallanydrawerorfeatureiftherackstabilizerbrackets
arenotattachedtotherack.Donotpulloutmorethanonedraweratatime.Therackmight
becomeunstableifyoupulloutmorethanonedraweratatime.
•(Forfixeddrawers)Thisdrawerisafixeddrawerandmustnotbemoedforsericingunless
specifiedbythemanufacturer.Attemptingtomoethedrawerpartiallyorcompletelyoutofthe

–Remoealldeicesinthe32Upositionandaboe.
–Ensurethattheheaiestdeicesareinstalledinthebottomoftherackcabinet.
–EnsurethattherearenoemptyU-leelsbetweendeicesinstalledintherackcabinetbelowthe
32Uleel.
•Iftherackcabinetyouarerelocatingispartofasuiteofrackcabinets,detachtherackcabinet
fromthesuite.
•Iftherackcabinetyouarerelocatingwassuppliedwithremoableoutriggerstheymustbe
reinstalledbeforethecabinetisrelocated.
•Inspecttheroutethatyouplantotaketoeliminatepotentialhazards.
•Verifythattheroutethatyouchoosecansupporttheweightoftheloadedrackcabinet.Referto
thedocumentationthatcomeswithyourrackcabinetfortheweightofaloadedrackcabinet.
•Verifythatalldooropeningsareatleast760x230mm(30x80in.).
•Ensurethatalldeices,sheles,drawers,doors,andcablesaresecure.
•Ensurethatthefourleelingpadsareraisedtotheirhighestposition.
•Ensurethatthereisnostabilizerbracketinstalledontherackcabinetduringmoement.
•Donotusearampinclinedatmorethan10degrees.

•Whentherackcabinetisinthenewlocation,completethefollowingsteps:
–Lowerthefourleelingpads.
–Installstabilizerbracketsontherackcabinet.
–Ifyouremoedanydeicesfromtherackcabinet,repopulatetherackcabinetfromthelowest
positiontothehighestposition.
•Ifalong-distancerelocationisrequired,restoretherackcabinettotheconfigurationoftherack
cabinetasyoureceiedit.Packtherackcabinetintheoriginalpackagingmaterial,orequialent.
Alsolowertheleelingpadstoraisethecastersoffthepalletandbolttherackcabinettothepallet.
CAUTION:
•Rackisnotintendedtosereasanenclosureanddoesnotproideanydegreesofprotection
requiredofenclosures.
•Itisintendedthatequipmentinstalledwithinthisrackwillhaeitsownenclosure.
CAUTION:
Tightenthestabilizerbracketsuntiltheyareflushagainsttherack.
CAUTION:
Usesafepracticeswhenlifting.

Donotplaceanyobjectontopofarack-mounteddeiceunlessthatrack-mounteddeiceisintended

Iftherackisdesignedtobecoupledtoanotherrackonlythesamemodelrackshouldbecoupled

aoidashockhazard:
•IfLenoosuppliedapowercord(s),connectpowertothisunitonlywiththeLenooproided
powercord.DonotusetheLenooproidedpowercordforanyotherproduct.
•Donotopenorsericeanypowersupplyassembly.

•Donotconnectordisconnectanycablesorperforminstallation,maintenance,orreconfiguration
ofthisproductduringanelectricalstorm.
•Theproductmightbeequippedwithmultiplepowercords.T oremoeallhazardousoltages,
disconnectallpowercords.
•Connectallpowercordstoaproperlywiredandgroundedelectricaloutlet.Ensurethatthe
outletsuppliesproperoltageandphaserotationaccordingtothesystemratingplate.
•Connectanyequipmentthatwillbeattachedtothisproducttoproperlywiredoutlets.
•Whenpossible,useonehandonlytoconnectordisconnectsignalcables.

2.Remoethepowercordsfromtheoutlets.
3.Remoethesignalcablesfromtheconnectors.
4.Remoeallcablesfromthedeices.

1.Turnoffeerything(unlessinstructedotherwise).
2.Attachallcablestothedeices.
3.Attachthesignalcablestotheconnectors.
4.Attachthepowercordstotheoutlets.
5.Turnonthedeices.
•Sharpedges,cornersandjointsmightbepresentinandaroundthesystem.Usecarewhen
handlingequipmenttoaoidcuts,scrapesandpinching.

topofrack-mounteddeices.
•Eachrackcabinetmighthaemorethanonepowercord.Besuretodisconnectallpowercords
intherackcabinetwhendirectedtodisconnectpowerduringsericing.
•Connectalldeicesinstalledinarackcabinettopowerdeicesinstalledinthesamerack
cabinet.Donotplugapowercordfromadeiceinstalledinonerackcabinetintoapower
deiceinstalledinadifferentrackcabinet.
•Anelectricaloutletthatisnotcorrectlywiredcouldplacehazardousoltageonthemetalparts
ofthesystemorthedeicesthatattachtothesystem.Itistheresponsibilityofthecustomerto
ensurethattheoutletiscorrectlywiredandgroundedtopreentanelectricalshock.

alockwasherusingaboltorstud.Theconnectorshouldbeproperlysizedtobesuitablefor
theboltorstud,thelockingwasher,theratingfortheconductingwireused,andtheconsidered
ratingofthebreaker.TheintentistoensuretheframeiselectricallybondedtothePROTECTIVE
EARTHINGCONDUCTORS.Theholethattheboltorstudgoesintowheretheterminalconductor
andthelockwashercontactshouldbefreeofanynon-conductiematerialtoallowformetalto
metalcontact.AllPROTECTIVEEARTHINGCONDUCTORSshouldterminateatthismainprotectie
earthingterminaloratpointsmarkedwith.

4.Liftbystandingorbyushinguwithyourlegmuscles;thisactionremovesthestrainfromthe
musclesinyourback.Donotattempttoliftanyobjectsthatweighmorethan18kg(0lb)orobjects
thatyouthinkaretooheavyforyou.
•Donoterformanyactionthatcausesahazardormakestheequimentunsafe.
•Beforeyoustartthedevice,ensurethatservicereresentativesandotherersonnelarenotina
hazardousosition.
•Placeremovedcoversandotherartsinasafelace,awayfromallersonnel,whileyouareservicing
theunit.

•Keeyourtoolcaseawayfromwalkareassothatothereolecannottrioverit.
•Donotwearlooseclothingthatcanbetraedinthemovingartsofadevice.Ensurethatyoursleeves
arefastenedorrolleduaboveyourelbows.Ifyourhairislong,fastenit.
•Inserttheendsofyournecktieorscarfinsideclothingorfastenitwithanonconductingcli,aroximately
8cm(3in.)fromtheend.
•Donotwearjewelry,chains,metal-frameeyeglasses,ormetalfastenersforyourclothing.

•Wearsafetyglasseswhenyouarehammering,drilling,soldering,cuttingwire,attachingsrings,using
solvents,orworkinginanyotherconditionsthatmightbehazardoustoyoureyes.
•Afterservice,reinstallallsafetyshields,guards,labels,andgroundwires.Relaceanysafetydevice
thatiswornordefective.
•Reinstallallcoverscorrectlyafteryouhavefinishedservicingtheunit.
Handlingstatic-sensitiedeices
Ensurethatyouunderstandhowtohandledevicesthataresensitivetostaticelectricity.
Attention:Staticelectricitycandamageelectronicdevicesandyoursystem.Toavoiddamage,kee
static-sensitivedevicesintheirstatic-rotectivebagsuntilyouarereadytoinstallthem.
Toreducetheossibilityofelectrostaticdischarge,observethefollowingrecautions:
•Limityourmovement.Movementcancausestaticelectricitytobuilduaroundyou.
•Handlethedevicecarefully,holdingitbyitsedgesorframe.
•Donottouchsolderjoints,ins,orexosedrintedcircuitry.
•Donotleavethedevicewhereotherscanhandleandossiblydamagethedevice.
•Whilethedeviceisstillinitsantistaticbag,touchittoanunaintedmetalartofthesystemunitforat
