WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
This appliance must be installed, commissioned and serviced by a qualified person
in accordance with national and local regulations in force in the country of
installation.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified person.
Ensure that the plug/socket is accessible at all times.
Strip plastic coating and clean the appliance before use.
During operation parts may become hot - avoid accidental contact.
Disconnect this appliance before servicing, maintenance or cleaning.

INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING
This appliance must be earthed.
An equipotential bonding terminal is provided to allow cross bonding with other
equipment.
If replacing the plug connect the terminals as follows:
Green and Yellow wire Earth E
Blue wire Neutral N
Brown wire Live L
Supply cords shall be oil resistant, sheathed flexible cable not lighter than ordinary
polychloroprene or equivalent elastomer sheathed cord (code 60245 IEC 57)
This appliance is supplied for connection to a standard 13 amp socket.
Install this appliance on a level surface ensuring all vents are unobstructed.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Only qualified or trained personnel should use this appliance.
This appliance has an insulated tank to enhance performance. During initial
operation there may be a noticeable odour from the insulation. This is normal and
will diminish with use.
Operation
Turn on the power supply at the isolating switch. The green neon will illuminate
indicating power to the appliance.
Turn the control knob to the required setting. The infra red gantry lamp will
illuminate and the amber neon will light indicating that the tank element is
energised.
The amber neon will extinguish when set temperature is reached, and continue to
cycle as the element maintains temperature.
The lamp will remain illuminated until the appliance is switched off.
Shutdown
To shutdown, turn the control knob to the ‘Off’ position and switch off at the isolating
switch.
CLEANING
Do not use a water jet or steam cleaner, and do not immerse this appliance.
The drain plate may be removed for cleaning.
Clean all panels with warm water and mild detergent, do not use abrasive materials
or cleaners containing chlorine.
Dry with a soft cloth.

SERVICING, MAINTENANCE AND
COMPONENT REPLACEMENT
Your Lincat product has a manufacturer’s warranty. This requires you to maintain
and care for your product and follow maintenance instructions. If you fail to maintain
your unit or damage components Lincat may charge you for a warranty repair.
Please check the website for terms and conditions.
The lamp is replaceable by the user. All other servicing, maintenance and
component replacement on this appliance should be carried out by one of our
recommended service engineers.
Lamp replacement
Never attempt to change a bulb without disconnecting the appliance from the
supply and allowing the lamp to cool.
Consult Fig 2.
Be aware before starting that the replacement lamp should not be touched with
bare hands. Handle by the end-caps only.

The lamp is of the sprung loaded, push-in type. Remove the bulb by pulling against
the spring loaded holder A and lowering out. The process may be eased by using
the thumb to push the ceramic part of the opposite holder back away from the bulb
B. Fit the new bulb by reversing the procedure.
Neon replacement
Remove the control knob. Remove the screws securing the facia panel to the base
panel. Hold the facia panel at the bottom and remove by rotating forward.
Remove the cables and unscrew the retaining collar to remove the neon.
Fit the new neon by reversing the procedure.
Element replacement
With the facia panel removed as above, disconnect the cables from the element
terminals.
Undo the 2 nuts holding the element terminals and withdraw the element.
Fit the new element by reversing the procedure.
Energy regulator replacement
With the facia panel removed as above, disconnect the cables from the energy
regulator terminals. To avoid confusion, fit each cable to the new regulator as it is
disconnected.
Unscrew the old energy regulator from the facia.
Fit the new energy regulator by reversing the procedure.

GUARANTEE
This unit carries a comprehensive UK mainland 2 year warranty. The guarantee is
in addition to, and does not diminish your statutory or legal rights.
The guarantee does not cover:
Accidental damage, misuse or use not in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions
Consumable items (such as filters, glass, bulbs, slot toaster elements and door
seals.)
Damage due to incorrect installation, modification, unauthorised service work or
damage due to scale, food debris build-up, etc.
The manufacturer disclaims any liability for incidental, or consequential damages.
Attendance is based on reasonable access to the appliance to allow the authorised
technician to carry out the warranty work.
Service calls to equipment under warranty will be carried out in accordance with the
conditions of sale. Unless otherwise specified, a maximum of 15 minutes of
administrative time, not spent directly carrying out servicing work, is provided for
within the warranty. Any requirement for staff attending the call to spend greater time
than 15 minutes due to administrative requirements, such as on health and safety risk
assessments, will be chargeable at the prevailing rate.
