Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the LINDY 2 Port DisplayPort Splitter with expander function. This product
has been designed to provide trouble free, reliable operation. It benefits from both a LINDY 2 year
warranty and free lifetime technical support. To ensure correct use, please read this manual carefully
and retain it for future reference.This device is a high performance DisplayPort MST hub (Multi Stream
Transport) which allows one DisplayPort source to be shown simultaneously on 2 displays or similar as
an extended desktop across 2 displays. The MST hub splits the MST input signal into two single
streams to the individual monitors. It detects how many displays are connected and allows to send 2
monitor signals over one DP cable to the Splitter. The computer’s graphic card settings panel will show
2 monitors.
IMPORTANT: The DP Expander splitter / MST hub can only work with DP 1.2 graphic cards, DP 1.1
input signals are not supported! This product is significantly different compared to VGA or HDMI
splitters!

depending on the resolution
Please note that the Expander splitter / MST hub cannot output 2x 3840x2160@60Hz, because the
total resolution of the two monitors cannot exceed 3840x2160@60Hz.
Installation and Operation
The LINDY DisplayPort Expander Splitter / MST Hub is a plug and play device that does not need to be
configured with software or driver support. Resolutions are configured on the computers graphic card
setting panel.
1. Connect the splitter and the two monitors to your graphics card using DP cables.
2. Connect the power adapter to the DP Expander Splitter and switch on all devices.
3. The graphic card settings panel on your PC will show two new separate monitors. Adjust the resolution
on your PCs graphics card tool. Use “Duplicate Desktop” setting to show identical screen content on
both monitors (splitter function) or use “Extended Desktop” to show different content.
If you cannot see any picture please make sure that your graphic card supports DP 1.2 and MST function.
Try to connect one monitor only and try to set up the required resolutions. Please regard the maximum
resolutions as listed above.

Splitter / MST Hub unterliegt einer 2-Jahres LINDY Herstellergarantie und lebenslangem kostenlosen
technischen Support. Bitte lesen Sie diese Anleitung sorgfältig und bewahren Sie sie auf.Dieses Gerät
ist ein DisplayPort (DP) MST (Multi Stream Transport) Hub. Er ermöglicht es, ein DisplayPort Signal auf
2 Monitoren anzuzeigen, mit gleichem Bildinhalt (Anzeige duplizieren) oder mit unterschiedlichen
Bildinhalten (erweiterter Desktop / Diese Anzeige erweitern). Die MST Funktion erkennt, wie viele
Monitore angeschlossen sind und erlaubt es, mehrere Monitore über nur ein DP-Kabel anzuschließen.
Das Tool der Grafikkarte bzw. das Menü der Windows Bildschirmauflösung zeigen 2 Monitore an.
WICHTIG: Der DP Expander Splitter / MST Hub funktioniert nur mit DP 1.2 Grafikkarten, DP 1.1
Eingangssignale werden nicht unterstützt. Die Funktion ist völlig unterschiedlich zu der von VGA oder
HDMI Splittern!

Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Expander Splitter / MST Hub NICHT 2x 3840x2160@60Hz ausgeben
kann, weil die gesamte “aufaddierte” Auflösung der beiden Monitore 3840x2160@60Hz nicht
überschreiten kann.
Installation und Betrieb
Der LINDY DisplayPort Expander Splitter / MST Hub wird nicht konfiguriert. Die Auflösungen werden
mit dem Grafikkarten Tool bzw. über die Windows Bildschirmauflösung eingestellt.
1. Schließen Sie den MST Hub und die Monitore an Ihren Rechner mit DisplayPort Kabeln an.
2. Schließen Sie das Netzteil an den MST Hub an und schalten Sie alle Geräte ein.
3. Wenn Sie auf allen Monitoren ein Bild sehen stellen Sie die gewünschten Auflösungen für den
jeweiligen Monitor ein, und wählen Sie Anzeige duplizieren für gleiche Bildinhalte (nur bei gleicher
Auflösung der Monitore) oder Anzeige erweitern für unterschiedliche Bildinhalte bzw. erweiterten
Desktop.
Falls Sie kein Bild sehen, stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass Ihre Grafikkarte DP 1.2 kompatibel ist und MST
unterstützt. Versuchen Sie es bitte mit nur einem angeschlossenen Monitor und stellen Sie die
Auflösungen ein. Beachten Sie auf alle Fälle die o.g. Maximalauflösungen!

référence.Cet appareil est un splitter/hub DisplayPort MST (Multi Stream Transport) hautes
performances qui permet l’affichage d’une source DP sur deux écrans DP ou en mode étendu pour
n’afficher qu’une seule image sur les deux écrans. Le hub MST divise en deux le signal MST en entrée
et le distribue en deux flux unique vers les écrans. Il détecte combien d’écrans sont connectés et
permet d’envoyer deux signaux moniteurs via un câble DP sur le splitter. Les paramètres d’affichage de
la carte graphique de l’ordinateur indiqueront deux écrans.
Important : ce splitter expander/hub MST DisplayPort ne fonctionne qu’avec des cartes graphiques DP
1.2, les signaux DP 1.1 ne sont pas pris en charge ! Ce produit est significativement différent en
comparaison avec des splitters VGA ou HDMI !

Mise en route
Le splitter expander/hub MST DisplayPort 2 ports LINDY est un périphérique plug and play qui ne
nécessite pas de paramétrage logiciel ou de pilote. Les résolutions sont définies dans panneau de
contrôle des paramètres d’affichage.
1. Connectez le splitter et les deux écrans à votre carte graphique en utilisant des câbles DP.
2. Connectez l’adaptateur d’alimentation au splitter expander DisplayPort et mettez l’ensemble sous
tension.
3. Le panneau de contrôle d’affichage de la carte graphique de votre ordinateur indique deux
nouveaux écrans uniques. Ajustez la résolution graphique sur votre ordinateur. Utilisez
‘’Dupliquez ces affichages’’ pour afficher un contenu identique sur les deux écrans (fonction
splitter) ou utilisez ‘’Etendre ces affichages’’ pour afficher un contenu différent.
Si aucune image ne s’affiche, assurez-vous que votre graphique prend en charge les signaux DP 1.2 et
la fonction MST. Essayez de ne connecter qu’un écran et de paramétrer la résolution requise. Merci de
tenir compte des résolutions indiquées ci-dessus.

prodotto è stato progettato per garantirvi la massima affidabilità e semplicità di utilizzo ed è coperto da
da 2 anni di garanzia LINDY oltre che da un servizio di supporto tecnico a vita. Per assicurarvi di farne
un uso corretto vi invitiamo a leggere attentamente questo manuale e a conservarlo per future
consultazioni.Questo dispositivo è un Hub DisplayPort MST (Multi Stream Transport) che consente ad
una singola sorgente DisplayPort di utilizzare due schermi per visualizzare per esempio un desktop
esteso su entrambi i monitor. E’ l’hub stesso che si occupa di dividere i due flussi video ed inviarli a
ciascuno schermo in modo indipendente. Questo sistema riconosce automaticamente quanti schermi
sono connessi e trasferisce l’informazione alla scheda grafica che presenterà nella schermata di
configurazione fino a 2 schermi configurabili separtamente.
IMPORTANTE: Lo Splitter DP Expander / Hub MST funziona solo con schede grafiche DP 1.2; le
schede DP 1.1 NON sono supportate! Questo prodotto funziona in modo completamente diverso da
uno splitter VGA o HDMI!

Installazione ed utilizzo
Questo dispositivo è totalmente plug and play e non necessita di driver o di essere configurato
con un software. La risoluzione degli schermi è gestita tramite il pannello di configurazione della
scheda grafica del computer.
1. Collegate con cavi DP il PC alla porta DP “in” dello splitter e i monitor alle porte DP “Out”
2. Collegate l’alimentatore allo splitter.
3. Il pannello di configurazione della vostra scheda grafica mostrerà ora due monitor
separati. Regolate le singole risoluzioni direttamente dal PC e utilizzate la funzione
“Duplica Schermo” per visualizzare la medesima immagine su entrambi gli schermi
oppure “Estendi Schermi” per visualizzare un desktop unico diviso fra i due monitor.
Se non riuscite a visualizzare nulla controllate che la vostra scheda grafica sia conforme alle
specifiche DP 1.2 Provate a connettore un singolo monitor e impostate la risoluzione richiesta
per verificarne il funzionamento. Vi ricordiamo di rispettare i limiti di risoluzione citati sopra.
