Treated properly it should be a faithful servant for years - and we hope you get the
same amount of pleasure from it. Before you do
lplease take a few minutes to read these instructions
lwe suggest you carefully unpack everything, lay it out on a clean, flat floor and
identify everything on the parts list in these instructions. Do not throw away any
packaging until you are sure you have all the parts.
If you have any problems assembling the product please call our customer services
on 01985 300588 and we will try and help. If for any reason you wish to return the
product, you must disassemble the product and pack in the original packaging.
Taking care of your product
Your furniture should require no more than a regular dust off with a soft cloth. If the furniture is
not painted then a superior wood polish can be used - but never use polishes containing
silicone.
If necessary it can be cleaned with a damp cloth with a mild detergent solution - and then
dried with a lint-free cloth. Never clean with abrasives or chemical cleaners.
Direct sunlight or heat from a radiator can stain, discolour warp or crack furniture.
We know furniture can be heavy but try not to drag furniture across the floor as this can
damage it.

Periodically check all fittings to ensure that none have come loose.
Keep away from direct sources of heat, such as electric, gas or wood fires.
Do not allow children to climb on the furniture. Larger items of furniture should be
properly (and professionally) secured to the wall to prevent them toppling over. Little
Folks Furniture do not supply wall fixings due to the wide ranging differences of wall
construction.
Warning: This work should only be carried out by a competent person or a
professional.
Using furniture other than for its intended purpose could cause damage
to the structure or serious injury to your child.
The furniture should not be used if any structural part is broken or missing.
Do not place heavy or unsuitable sized items on the furniture due to risk of falling
and injury.
Light storage suitability for internal shelving.
Remove all items from the upper surface when re-positioning as to eliminate the
possibility of falling hazards.
If used under an upper bed, align the furniture under the bed as not
to generate projections which might be used as a foot-hold or ledge.

Fit the desk leg frames.
2 x cam pins (Threaded/ fine thread on ends)
Screw one cam pin into the metal insert positioned in the rear leg of each desk
leg frame.
Rotate Cam in up to shoulder
Fit the cross rail
2 x dowels and 2 cam inserts
Insert one dowel into the lower outer hole at each end of the cross rail. Now fit one
cam into the hole on the side of the cross rail making sure that the arrow is pointing
towards the end of the rail.
Now repeat at the opposite end.
Rotate Cam in up to shoulder

Make the frame
(ideally with two people)
Carefully align and connect the cross rail to the desk frames (can be done one at
a time). Once fully connected, rotate the cam clockwise to tighten.

Fit the top and bottom panels.
18 x cam pins
Place both the top and bottom panels onto a flat soft surface(The product
packaging can be laid out to create a suitable protective area), with the holes
facing upwards.
Screw down each cam pin into the smaller of the holes in each panel ( see diagram
below)

Fit the rear piece
10 x wooden dowels
insert 5 wooden dowels along each long edge of the piece.
Fit the desk top pieces
18 x wooden dowels
IMPORTANT
Orientate parts as shown below noting that the two outside pieces have two
through holes in them ( see arrows marked X) and each piece has a unique
drilling pattern, please look at the staggered positions for the dowel holes for
clarity.
Insert 3 wooden dowels into each edge, top and bottom, of each desk piece.

Fit the rear piece
Gently align the rear piece with the projecting dowels matching the holes at the
rear of the bottom panel. Now push the piece firmly down making a firm joint.
Fitting the three desk pieces.
IMPORTANT
Align the three pieces, left, divider and right as shown in the image.
Once you are happy with the orientation, simply push down each piece into the
matching dowel holes with the cam pins slotting into the cam holes.

Fit the cams
9 x cams
insert the cams into the holes that have located over the cams pins on the bottom
panel. Ensure that the arrow is pointing downwards to ensure the fit. Once all 9
cams are located, rotate clockwise to tighten.

Fit the top panel

Rotate the top panel and align both the fitted cam pins and dowels to the
corresponding holes in the top panel. Once all aligned, push firmly down and
make sure all parts are fitted firmly. Insert 9 cams into the cam holes, arrows
pointing upwards. Once all the cams are pressed in, rotate to tighten.

Fit the desk box to frame
4 x pan head bolts
Lay both the desk frame and desk box on their back
( see image below). This can be a bit fiddly and the help of another person hold
the desk frame in place will make it easier.
Now carefully align the assemblies so that the through holes match. Carefully start
each bolt into the desk frame, making sure ALL four bolts are connected into the
framework, slowly tightening each one in turn. Once ALL bolts are fully tight, lift
desk onto it`s legs and check all fittings are tight and secure.

Fit the anti-topple device
Anti-topple device (wall strap)
Connect the strap to the rear of the desk and gently lift the desk into position.
Placing the Desk IMPORTANT
Orientate the desk with the back facing the wall. Extend the wall strap so it can
touch the wall surface. Now mark the wall for the position of the wall fixing using
the free hole within the strap. Gently lift the desk away from the wall to make a
fixing that is suitable for the wall type you have. Re-position the desk and physically
connect the desk to the wall.

If you wish to “hide” the strap you can fix to the desk from the underside.

Final check
Please ensure that the wall strap is connected to both the desk and a suitable wall
structure. Check that all the fittings used to assemble the desk are fitted correctly
and securely tightened.
Check that the desk is positioned on a level floor and is secure and stable.
