System Disassembly
A Before You Start
To prevent injuries to the LCD Panel: Carefully place the POS terminal on
a flat, clean and stable surface (for example: a stable long table).
Prepare additional cushioned material (for example: a soft, clean blanket).
Terminate the application running in the POS system, and shut down the
operation system.
Turn-off the power of POS terminal and optional peripherals (for example:
Thermal Receipt Printer, Secondary LCD Display).
Disconnect all the devices or cables connected to the POS terminal.
Disconnect and remove the power adaptor from the POS terminal.
Unplug the power cables from the electrical outlet.
Note:
There are no serviceable parts or components in the POS system or
peripherals.DO NOT modify any parts of POS systems or use
non-qualified parts or peripherals.
Store the disconnect parts, cables, devices and screws in a secure
location for further use.
For maintenance or replacement, please consult the technical personnel
and contact the sales for purchasing the new peripherals and parts.

B Remove All the Peripherals (MSR, Customer display) from
the POS Unit
Please refer to the User Manual for the instructions of installation and
disconnection procedures.

Note:
Always store the detached parts in a secure location for further use.

C Disconnect the Devices from the I/O Ports
There are some of the optional peripherals or devices installed onto the pos system.
Please detach the peripherals/devices and store them in a secure location.
Note:
Please turn off the whole POS system and devices before unplugging the cables from
the I/O Ports.
a. Unplug the cables from the POS Unit.
1. Place the POS terminal onto a stable and flat location.
2. Lift up the whole POS Unit and examine the bottom I/O Ports of POS Unit.
3. Disconnect all of the connected cables on the bottom I/O Ports.

Note:
Always store the detached parts in a secure location for further use.

D Remove the HDD/SSD Drive from POS Unit
1. Remove the Protective Cover.
2. Remove the Screws of the
Protective Cover.
3. Pull out the HDD Drive Module

E Detach the Panel Unit (with Main Board) from the Base Unit
1. Remove the Two Screws of the Back Cover
2. Lift the Back Cover
3. Disconnect the Cable in the Machine
4. Remove the power switch and SSD slot

5. Remove the Four Screws of the Main board.
6. Remove the VAG interface with 6-point screws.
7. Remove the 3 Screws of the I/O Plate.

F Back Cover Unit (with Main Board Set)
a. Remove the HDD Drive from the Modular Main Board Set
1. Use a screw driver to remove the 4 screws of the metal SSD Slot.

b. Disconnect the Touch Controller from the Panel Unit
1. Remove the black sticker
2. Disconnect the touch cable from the touch controller
3. Slightly toggle the black fixed switch to loosen the touch cable.
4. Rip off the touch controller (There is double-sided tape under the touch
controller)

d. Remove Main Board from the Back Cover
1. Use a simple screw driver to
remove the 4 screws on the
main board
2. Slightly take out the main
board from the back cover.

e. Remove the RAM Module
1. Release the latches on the two sides of the RAM module slot (left).
(Ensure the RAM is rise up like the right picture below)
2. Pull and remove the module of the slot with care.

The RAM Module
To Replace or Re-install the RAM Module:
Install the RAM Module to the RAM Module Slot.
Press the module until the two latches tighten the RAM Module and firmly
installed.

Note:
Store the RAM Module in a secure location for further use.
f. Remove the Metal Bracket of Bottom I/O Port
1. Remove the 4 screws which connect main board and back cover
2. Use a hex screw driver to remove the securing hex spacers of VGA Port.
(The two procedures please refer to “c. Remove Main Board from the
Back Cover” chapter)
3. Pull up the metal bracket0

g. Detach the LCD Panel from the Front Bezel Set
1. Remove the securing screws to detach the metal panel bracket from the
front bezel set.

h. Detach the LCD Panel from the Metal Bracket
1. Remove the 4 securing screws on the two side of the LCD Panel

G Cable management
1. Remove the bezel upwards
2. Connect the cables and cover the bezel.
3. Pass the CBALE AND WIRE through the hole in the base

H Assemble the second display
1. Detached the second display cover.
2. Connect the cable of the main screen and second display.
3. Second display assemble finished.
