*This set-up guide assumes you are connecting cameras (not included with this system) to the Lorex DVR. Consult your DVR’s owners manual for alternative DVR connection
and/or information to install a hard drive.
1Connect the cameras (not supplied) to the CH1,
CH2, CH3, CH4 Video Inputs 2Connect the Power Supply to the DVR; the
other end to an electrical outlet
Your system is now set up. Refer to your DVR’s owners manual to learn how
to record, playback, use the search features and all other features available
with this system. Refer to Step 2 for Setting Up Remote Security Monitoring.
3Ensure the Master Power switch is turned ON (located at
the back of your DVR)

Port forwarding Your Router and the Creation of a DDNS Account with Lorex is required in order for you to have Remote Internet Access.
Select the Create New Account Link
Record the MAC Address
To obtain the DVR’s MAC address, press the Menu button on the
DVR. Use the UP, DOWN buttons and proceed to Network Setup.
Press the Enter button and select IP Setup. Press Enter.
Record the MAC Address below. Press the ESC button until you
EXIT all menu’s.
Complete Account Information
a. For Product License: Select
your Product Model Number
from the drop down menu
(L3104000 Series)
b. For Product Code enter the
MAC address recorded earlier
c. For URL Request choose a
URL Name (not to exceed 15
characters) (e.g. your name,

11 Select the DVR Manager Icon on the Computer Desktop to launch the DVR Manager Application. Click
the CONFIG button to enter DVR SET-UP.
• Set DDNS to Yes
• Set up the Domain Name, User Name & Password (from Step 6)
• Set Use Public IP to Yes
• Select the Apply Option & Press Enter
The NOT CONNECTED message should change to CONNECTED upon successful completion.

Button to view the Camera images

CONNECT/ DISCONNECT
• BMP SAVE TO: Specify the Save Location for the Image files
• COMM: Specify the connection type as TCP/IP for network connection
• IP: Enter the IP address of the DVR
• PORT: Enter PORT 2505
• ID: Enter the user name Admin
• PW: Enter the default password 11111111
• Click OK to save the settings.
