Diese Gebrauchsanleitung bezieht sich ausschließlich auf das Louis-Tech Pan-
nenset für schlauchlose Reifen (kurz Pannenset). Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise
zur Sicherheit und Handhabung. Die Gebrauchsanleitung, insbesondere die
Sicherheitshinweise, sorgfältig durchlesen, bevor das Louis-Tech Pannenset ver-
wendet wird. Die Nichtbeachtung dieser Gebrauchsanleitung kann zu schweren
Verletzungen oder zu Schäden am Fahrzeug führen. Die Gebrauchsanleitung für
die weitere Nutzung gut aufbewahren. Wenn das Pannenset an Dritte weiterge-
reicht wird, unbedingt diese Gebrauchsanleitung mitgeben. Die Gebrauchsanlei-

3 | Sicherheit
3.1 | Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das Pannenset dient zur Notreparatur von schlauchlosen Motorradreifen nach
einer Reifenpanne, wobei lediglich Defekte auf der Lauffl äche repariert werden
dürfen. Das Pannenset ermöglicht eine vorübergehende Reparatur des Reifens
für eine kurze Fahrt (max. 10 km) ohne Sozius, Gepäck oder ähnliche Belastung
mit einer dem Schaden entsprechend stark reduzierten Geschwindigkeit (max.
50 km/h) zur nächstgelegenen Fachwerkstatt. Da es sich bei diesem Produkt
um ein universell einsetzbares Produkt ohne spezifi sche Fahrzeugzuordnung
handelt, ist es wichtig, sich vor dem ersten Gebrauch davon zu überzeugen, dass
sich das Produkt ohne Probleme sachgerecht am Motorradtyp verwenden
lässt. Dabei unbedingt auf die Angaben der Fahrzeug-Bedienungsanleitung
und die Vorgaben des Fahrzeugherstellers achten. Das Louis-Tech Pannenset

3.2 | Sicherheitshinweise

Gefahren für Kinder und Personen mit verringerten physi-
schen, sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten (beispielswei-
se teilweise Behinderte, ältere Personen mit Einschränkung
ihrer physischen und mentalen Fähigkeiten) oder Mangel an
Erfahrung und Wissen (beispielsweise ältere Kinder)!
• Die im Set enthaltenen Gaspatronen stehen unter Druck
und können bei Erwärmung bersten. Die Patronen sind vor
Sonnenbestrahlung zu schützen.
• Das Louis-Tech Pannenset darf von Kindern sowie von
Personen mit verringerten physischen, sensorischen oder
mentalen Fähigkeiten oder bei Mangel an Erfahrung und
Wissen im Umgang mit derartigen Produkten nicht benutzt
werden.
• Zum Lieferumfang gehörende Verpackungsfolie und Kleinteile
von Kindern fernhalten, da Erstickungsgefahr besteht.

Sturzgefahr!
• Es dürfen niemals Schäden an den Reifen-Seitenwänden mit
dem Pannenset repariert werden.
• Es darf nur eine kurze Fahrt (max. 10 km) ohne Sozius,
Gepäck oder ähnliche Belastung mit einer dem Schaden
entsprechend stark reduzierten Geschwindigkeit (max. 50
km/h) zur nächstgelegenen Fachwerkstatt, wo der schadhafte
Reifen begutachtet und repariert bzw. ausgewechselt werden
muss, unternommen werden.
• Während der Fahrt zur nächstgelegenen Fachwerkstatt in
regelmäßigen Abständen den Reifendruck kontrollieren und
Sichtkontrollen des Reifens durchführen.

VORSICHT!
Verletzungsgefahr!
• Beim Abschneiden der Dichtstreifen auf einen besonnenen
Umgang mit dem Messer achten, um Schnittverletzungen zu
vermeiden.
4 | Anwendung
4.1 | Vorbereiten und Reparieren der Einstichstelle
Den Reifen prüfen und das ggf. vorhandene Objekt aus der Einstichstelle entfer-
nen.
Bei manchen Objekten muss zur Entfernung eventuell eine Zange oder
ein ähnliches Werkzeug benutzt werden.
Das 2-in-1 Reparaturwerkzeug (1) in das
Loch im Reifen einstechen. Die Schad-
stelle reinigen, indem die Ahle mehrfach
in den Verlauf der Schadstelle ein- und
ausgeführt wird. Jeglicher Schmutz
muss aus der Einstichstelle entfernt
werden. Die Schadstelle darf max. einen
Durchmesser von 4,5 mm haben.
Einen Dichtstreifen von der Schutzfolie
abziehen und in das Nadelöhr des
Reparaturwerkzeuges einführen.

Den Dichtstreifen mithilfe des Repa-
raturwerkzeuges in die Schadstelle
stecken und mindestens noch 13
Millimeter herausragen lassen.
Das Reparaturwerkzeug herausziehen
und sicherstellen, dass der Dichtstreifen
in der Schadstelle stecken bleibt.
Bei einem größeren Loch
ggf. weitere Dichtstreifen
verwenden.
Der Dichtstreifen kann bei Bedarf auf
ungefähr 6 Millimeter (von der äußeren
Oberfl äche des Reifens aus berechnet)
verkürzt werden.
Den Reifen mit dem vom Hersteller
empfohlenen Reifendruck befüllen und
prüfen, ob die Schadstelle dicht hält.
Dazu mit Wasser prüfen, ob Luftblasen
aus der reparierten Stelle dringen.
4.2 | Anwendung des Ventiladapters
Vor Gebrauch des Ventiladapters: Die CO2-Patrone am unteren Ende des Ventil-
adapters leicht aufschrauben, bis ein Widerstand spürbar ist. Dann die Patrone
schnell bis zum Gewindeende festdrehen, aber nicht zu stark, um die Versiege-
lung zu durchstechen und abzudichten.
Jetzt die fl exible Ventilverlängerung auf den Ventiladapter schrauben und das
Gerät ist einsatzbereit.
Das Auf- und Abschrauben der CO2-Patrone am Ventiladapter regelt die Gaszu-
fuhr. Um Gas zuzuführen, die Patrone nach links drehen, um sie etwas loszu-
schrauben. Höchstens eine halbe Drehung.
Um die Gaszufuhr in den Reifen zu stoppen, die Patrone nach rechts drehen, um
sie anzuziehen. Den Reifen nur soweit befüllen, bis der gewünschte Reifendruck
erreicht ist.
Bei Verwendung des Ventiladapters die Patrone immer aufrecht halten. So wird
gewährleistet, dass die Patrone die Höchstmenge an CO2abgibt. Die Patrone
nicht mit bloßen Händen anfassen, da diese bei der Entleerung extrem kalt wird.
Unbedingt Handschuhe benutzen bzw. nur den Ventiladapter anfassen.

VORSICHT!
Verletzungsgefahr!
Die Patrone erst vom Ventiladapter abschrauben oder
entfernen, wenn sie vollkommen leer ist, sonst kann
es zu Verletzungen kommen. Die Patrone vor direkter
Sonneneinstrahlung schützen und auf keinen Fall
Temperaturen von über 48°C aussetzen. Nicht im Fahrzeug
aufbewahren. Das Gas niemals in Richtung Gesicht oder Körper
austreten lassen.
5 | Lagerung
Nicht im Fahrzeug lagern und direkter Sonnenstrahlung sowie Temperaturen über
35°C aussetzen.
6 | Ersatzteile
Verbrauchsartikel wie CO2Patronen oder Dichtstreifen sind separat erhältlich, um
das Set für die nächste Tour wieder aufzufüllen.
7 | Gewährleistung
Für das vorliegende Produkt gilt die gesetzliche Gewährleistung von zwei Jahren.
Der Gewährleistungszeitraum beginnt ab dem Kaufdatum. Gebrauchsspuren,
Zweckentfremdung, nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch und Schäden, die aus
einem Unfall, einer Manipulation oder einem Reparaturversuch durch unautori-
sierte Kundendienste oder Personen resultieren, sind von der Gewährleistung
ausgeschlossen.
8 | Entsorgung
Das Verpackungsmaterial sowie die Einzelteile des Produktes
selbst, sind gemäß den regionalen behördlichen Bestimmungen
zu entsorgen.

These instructions for use refer exclusively to the Louis-Tech Tyre Repair Set for
Tubeless Tyres (tyre repair set for short). They contain important information
on safety and handling. Read these instructions for use carefully, in particular
the safety instructions, before using the Louis-Tech Tyre Repair Set. Failure to
follow these instructions can lead to serious injury or damage to the vehicle.
Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference. If you pass the tyre
repair set on to a third party, you must also hand over these instructions for use.

2.2 | Explanation of symbols
The following symbols and signal words are used in these instructions for use,
on the tyre repair set or on the packaging.
3 | Safety
3.1 | Intended use
The tyre repair set is used for emergency repair of tubeless motorcycle tyres
after a puncture, for faults on the tyre tread only. The tyre repair set is for
temporary repair of the tyre for a short journey (max. 10km) without a pillion,
luggage or similar load, at a greatly reduced speed appropriate to the extent of
the damage (max. 50km/h) to the nearest motorcycle workshop. Since this is a
universal product and not intended for a specifi c vehicle, it is important to make
sure that it is suitable for your motorcycle model before using the product for the
fi rst time. In the process, it is imperative that you comply with the stipulations in
the vehicle operating instructions and the vehicle manufacturer's specifi cations.
The Louis-Tech Tyre Repair Set must only be used as described in these
instructions. Any other use is considered improper use and can result in material
damage. The manufacturer and supplier accept no liability for damage caused
by improper or incorrect use.

3.2 | Safety instructions
WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities (e.g. partially disabled persons,
elderly persons with reduced physical and mental abilities) or
lack of experience and knowledge (e.g. older children)!
• The gas cartridges included in the set are pressurised
and can burst if subjected to a temperature increase. The
cartridges must be protected from direct sunlight.
• The Louis-Tech tyre repair set must not be used by children
or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities,
or those with a lack of experience and knowledge of dealing
with this type of products.
• The packaging fi lm and small parts must be kept away from
children, as there is a risk of suffocation.
WARNING!
Risk of crashing!
• Damage to the side walls of tyres must never be repaired with
the tyre repair set.
• Only a short journey (max.10km) must be made, without
a pillion, luggage or similar load at a greatly reduced speed
appropriate to the extent of the damage (max. 50km/h) to
the nearest motorcycle workshop, where the damaged tyre
must be examined and repaired or replaced.
• The tyre pressure must be checked and the tyre must be
visually inspected at regular intervals during the journey to the
nearest motorcycle workshop.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
• When cutting off the repair string, make sure that you handle
the knife carefully in order to avoid lacerations.

4 | How to use
4.1 | Preparing and repairing the puncture
Check the tyre and, if necessary, remove any object which may be in the puncture.
It may be necessary to use pliers or a similar tool to remove some
objects.
Insert the 2-in-1 repair tool (1) into the
hole in the tyre. Clean the puncture by
inserting and removing the awl into the
course of the damaged spot multiple
times. Any dirt must be removed from
the puncture. The diameter of the
puncture must not exceed a maximum
of 4.5mm.
Peel off a sealing strip from the
protective fi lm and insert it into the
needle eye of the repair tool.
Insert the repair string into the puncture
using the repair tool, allowing it to still
protrude at least 13millimetres.
Pull out the repair tool and make sure
that the repair string remains in the
puncture.
Use further repair strings for a
larger hole as necessary.

The repair string can be shortened to
around 6millimetres (measured from
the outer surface of the tyre).
Fill the tyre to the tyre pressure
recommended by the manufacturer and
check whether the puncture remains
air tight. To do so, check with water
whether air bubbles are expelled from
the repaired area.
4.2 | Use of the valve adapter
Before using the valve adapter: Gently screw the CO2cartridge onto the bottom
end of the valve adapter until you feel resistance. Then quickly screw the
cartridge to the end of the thread, not too hard, but fi rmly enough to penetrate
and seal off the seal.
Now screw the fl exible tyre valve access hose onto the valve adapter and the
device is ready for use.
Screwing the CO2cartridge on and off on the valve adapter regulates the supply
of gas. To supply gas, unscrew the cartridge a little by turning it to the left. No
more than half a turn.
In order to stop the supply of gas to the tyre, tighten the cartridge by turning it to
the right. Only fi ll the tyre to the desired tyre pressure.
When using the valve adapter, always hold the cartridge upright. This way you
ensure that the cartridge gives off the maximum quantity of CO2. Do not touch
the cartridge with bare hands as it becomes extremely cold when emptied. It is
imperative that you use gloves or only touch the valve adapter.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
Do not unscrew or remove the cartridge from the valve adapter
until it is completely empty as there is otherwise a risk of
injuries. Protect the cartridge from direct sunlight and do not
under any circumstances expose it to temperatures of more
than 48°C. Do not store in the vehicle. Never allow the gas to be
expelled towards the face or body.

5 | Storage
Do not store in the vehicle and do not expose to direct sunlight or temperatures
of more than 35°C.
6 | Spare parts
Consumables, such as CO2cartridges or repair strings, are available separately
for fi lling up the set for the next trip.
7 | Warranty
This product comes with the statutory two-year warranty. The warranty period
begins on the date of purchase. It does not cover normal wear and tear, use for
anything other than the intended purpose, or damage caused by an accident,
tampering or attempted repairs by unauthorised persons or customer service
departments.
8 | Disposal
Dispose of packaging material and the product itself according to
applicable local regulations.
