SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The information contained in the following pages has been prepared to ensure you of trouble-free operation for your
ceiling fan.
1. To ensure the success of the installation, please read the instructions and study the diagrams carefully.
2. For your safety, all electrical connection and disconnection must be performed by a licensed electrician.
3. All electrical work should only be undertaken after disconnection of the power by removing fuses or turning off the
circuit breaker to ensure all pole isolation of the electrical supply. If you are in any doubt, a licensed electrician
should be sought to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with local regulations, current good practice
and other national and local electrical codes.
4. Make sure that your installation location will not allow the rotating fan blades to come into contact with any objects
and that there is a minimum clearance of 30cm from the blade tip to the wall or nearest object. Please note that the
bigger this clearance is, the better the airflow from your fan will be. Ensure the blades are mounted at a minimum
height of 2.1 meters from the floor when the fan is installed.
5. The fixing point for the fan must be able to support a weight of at least 40kg. If you are mounting the fan to a ceiling
junction box, the box and it’s fixing must be able to support the moving weight of the fan and must not twist or work
loose.
6. The fan must be earthed.
7. Do not connect the fan motor to a dimmer switch. This may give an unsatisfactory performance (motor hum) and
cause damage to the motor. Only use the supplied wall controller.
8. It is not recommended that ceiling fans and gas appliances be operated in the same room at the same time.
9. The fan must be turned off and stopped completely before reversing the fan direction. This will prevent any damage
to the motor of the unit or controller (if installed).
10. Do not insert anything into the fan blades while the fan is operating. This may cause person injury, damage the
blades and upset the balance of the unit causing the unit to wobble.
11. After the fan is completely installed, make sure that all connections are secure and tightened to prevent any
problems.
12. Because of the fans natural movement, some connections may loosen. Check the support connections, brackets
and blade attachments twice a year to make sure they are all secured. If they are loose, tighten with a screwdriver.
Note: The important safeguards and instructions given in this manual are not meant to cover all possible conditions and
situations that may occur. It must be understood that common sense, caution and care are factors, which cannot be built
into any product. The persons caring for and using the unit must supply these factors.
WARNING: FOR SAFE USE OF THIS FAN AN ALL-POLE
DISCONNECTION SWITCH MUST BE INCORPORATED INTO THE
FIXED WIRING.
This is in accordance with the latest Standard AS/NZS 3000.
Please note warranty will be void if installed without an all-pole disconnection switch.

PARTS LIST
•Unpack your ceiling fan carefully. Remove all parts and hardware. Place the fan motor on a cloth or soft surface
to avoid damaging the finish.
•Do not lay the motor housing on its side –the decorative housing may become bent or damaged.
•Verify that all parts are present before starting assembly.
•Check the packaging carefully for missing parts.
Examine all parts. You should have the following:

INSTALLING THE MOUNTING BRACKET
This ceiling fan must be installed in a location so that the blades are at least 2.1 meters above the floor, and 300mm
spacing from the tip of the blade to the nearest objects or walls.
Secure the hanging bracket to the ceiling joist or structure that is capable of carrying a load of at least 40kg, with two
long screws provided. Ensure at least 30mm of the screw is threaded into the support.
NOTE: The bracket screws provided are for use with wooden structures only. For structures other than wood,
the appropriate screw type MUST be used.
ANGLED CEILING INSTALLATION
This fan hanging system supports a maximum 22 degree
angled ceiling installation.

HANGING THE FAN
INSTALLING THE DOWN ROD
1. Loosen the ball joint.
2. Feed the down rod through the ceiling canopy.
3. Insert the motor wires through the down rod and secure the ball joint back to the down rod.
4. Insert the down rod to the hanger, line up the hanger holes with the down rod holes and insert bolt.
Insert the pin to the end of the bolt.
5. Finally secure the down rod and hanger via tightening two screws on the hanger. Fig. 4
6. Lift fan assembly onto mounting bracket.
7. Ensure the notch of the ball joint is positioned on the stopper of mounting bracket to prevent the fan from
rotating when in operation. Fig. 5
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - BLADE INSTALLATION
FAN BLADE ATTACHMENT
•Secure the blade to the blade holder using screws provided. Fig. 8
•Attach the blade assembled to the motor and secure it via tightening the motor screws. Repeat above process
to finish installation of all 5 blades. Fig. 9

WARNING: FOR YOUR SAFETY ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS MUST BE UNDERTAKEN BY A
LICENSED ELECTRICIAN.
NOTE: AN ADDITIONAL ALL POLE DISCONNECTION SWITCH MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE FIXED WIRING.
NOTE: Wiring diagram includes the light kit wiring. The light wiring diagram and switch is omitted when no light
kit is used with the ceiling fan.

FINISHING THE INSTALLATION
•After completing the electrical connection at the mounting bracket terminal block, connect the ceiling fan wiring via
the quick connector plug.
•Cover the mounting bracket with the canopy. Ensure all electrical wiring is tucked inside the canopy and that they
are not damaged during this step. Secure the canopy to the hanger bracket using the screws provided. Fig 10.
LIGHT FUNCTION (Light kit sold separately)
This fan can use a light kit which is available at Beacon Lighting. Remove the light kit housing cover and install the light
kit to switch housing. For details please refer to the light kit installation guide.
The fan light can be switched ON/OFF via the light switch on the wall controller. Fig.11
NOTE: ONLY LIGHT KITS RECOMMENDED BY THE SUPPLIER WILL BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.

USING YOUR CEILING FAN WALL CONTROLLER
FAN WALL CONTROL
Your ceiling fan is controlled via the rotary switch (fan) and rocker switch (light) via the wall controller. Refer to below
figures:

2 – FAN IS “ON”, SPEED = MEDIUM
3 – FAN IS “ON”, SPEED = LOW

REVERSING SWITCH
Your ceiling fan can operate in either summer or winter mode.
SUMMER Mode: The reverse switch shall be in the “down” (SUMMER) position to make the fan rotate in an
anticlockwise direction. The airflow will be directed downwards, for cooling in summer.
WINTER Mode: The reverse switch shall be in the “up” (WINTER) position to make the fan rotate in a clockwise
direction. The airflow will be directed upwards assisting in the circulation of warm air, for energy conservation in winter.

BALANCING KIT
A balancing kit is provided to balance the ceiling fan on initial installation. Please refer to the instruction on how to use
the balancing kit. The balancing kit can be used to assist re-balancing should the ceiling fan become un-balanced again.
Store your balancing kit away after installation for future use if required.
CARE & CLEANING
Periodic cleaning of your ceiling fan is the only maintenance required. Use a soft brush or lint free cloth to avoid
scratching the paint finish. Please turn OFF the power before doing so.
Do not use water when cleaning your ceiling fan. It could damage the motor or the wooden blades and create the
possibility of an electrical shock.
There is no need to oil as the motor has permanently lubricated ball bearings.
WARRANTY SERVICE
The manufacturer’s warranty covers actual faults that may develop, but NOT minor complaints e.g. noise from the
motor running—ALL ELECTRIC MOTORS ARE AUDIBLE TO SOME EXTENT.
WOBBLE
Ceiling fans tend to move during operation due to the fact that they are not generally rigidly mounted—if they were,
they could generate excessive ceiling vibration and stress on their mountings.
Movement of a couple of centimetres is quite acceptable and does not suggest the fan will fall down.
Ceiling fans are mounted very securely on steel brackets with rubber cushioning or with ball-joints to allow free
movement.
Please note that not all ceiling fans are the same, even in the same model—some may move more or less than
others.
NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR
Threaded components working slightly loose or blade carriers even slightly bent due to vigorous cleaning or bumping
can cause extra wobble and noise. THIS IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, but a little care and maintenance
can reduce or prevent this problem.
BUMP IN THE NIGHT
This is the biggest cause for service calls, which are outside the manufacturer’s warranty. If a fan has a fault, it will be
noticeable at all times. Naturally, when everything is quiet at night, you will be more inclined to hear small noises,
which may not be noticeable at other times. Even slight power fluctuations, and mains frequency signals
superimposed in your electricity supply for off-peak hot water control may cause a change in fan motor noise. This is
normal.
FAN LIGHT
Except for actual faults in the manufacture, which are extremely rare, FAN LIGHTS AND GLOBES ARE NOT
COVERED UNDER YOUR FAN WARRANTY. Noises and vibration etc. are often more accentuated when a fan light is
fitted.
For instance a fan light glass that has not been tightened or worked loose can cause a rattle. Again, care and
maintenance will reduce this.
Glass of all kinds is warranty to the retailers’ door and subject to the retailer checking it on delivery.

1. Dieses Gerät ist NICHT für den Gebrauch durch Personen (einschließlich Kinder) geeignet, die über
eingeschränkte körperliche, sensorische oder mentale Fähigkeiten oder über mangelnde Erfahrung und
Kenntnisse verfügen, es sei denn, ihr Gebrauch des Gerätes wird durch eine Person, die für deren Sicherheit
verantwortlich ist, entsprechend beaufsichtigt oder angeleitet.
2. Laut Schutzvorschrift muss bei der Festverdrahtung die allpolige Trennung verwendet werden.
3. Bedeutung des durchgestrichenen Müllbehälters auf Rollen: Geben Sie elektrische Geräte nicht in den Hausmüll

4. Die Decke, an die dieser Ventilator befestigt werden soll, muss ein Gewicht von 30 kg tragen können.
5. In Europa sollte der Ventilator so an der Decke befestigt werden, dass sich die Ventilatorflügel mindestens 2,3m
über dem Boden befinden.
6. In Australien sollte der Ventilator so an der Decke befestigt werden, dass sich die Ventilatorflügel mindestens 2,1m
über dem Boden befinden.
7. Der Ventilator ist ausschließlich für die Verwendung im Innenbereich konstruiert. Es ist gefährlich, den Ventilator in
Umgebungen zu installieren, in denen er Wasser oder Feuchtigkeit ausgesetzt ist.
Die Installation sollte nur von einem befugten Elektriker vorgenommen werden.

INSTALLATION DER DECKENHALTERUNG
•Der Deckenventilator muss an einem Ort so installiert werden, dass die Spitzen der Ventilatorflügel mindestens
300mm vom nächsten Gegenstand oder der Wand entfernt sind.
•Befestigen Sie die Deckenhalterung nur an Decken oder Deckenverschalungen und anderen Deckenstrukturen,
die ein Gewicht von mindestens 40KG sicher halten können; verwenden Sie dazu die zwei langen Schrauben, die
mit dem Ventilator ausgeliefert wurden. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Schraubengewinde mindestens 30mm in das
Material eingedreht sind, woran die Halterung für den Ventilator befestigt ist.
HINWEIS: Die mitgelieferten Halteschrauben sind nur für Tragestrukturen aus Holz geeignet. Für
Tragestrukturen die nicht aus Holz sind, MUSS der dafür geeignete und zugelassene Schraubentyp verwendet
werden.
Installation an geneigten Decken
Dieses Halterungssystem ist nur für die Aufhängung an
geneigten Decken mit einem Neigungswinkel von bis zu 22°
geeignet.

AUFHÄNGEN DES VENTILATORS
Montage des Hängerohrs
1. Kugelgelenk lockern.
2. Das Hängerohr durch die Deckenhalterung führen.
3. Den Kabelstrang des Motors in das Hängerohr schieben und
das Kugelgelenk wieder am Hängerohr befestigen
4. Das Hängerohr in die Aufhängestange schieben ( siehe Abb.4)
die Löcher der Aufhängestange auf die Löcher des Hängerohrs
ausrichten und Bolzen einsetzen. Anschließend den Stift bis
zum Ende des Bolzen einschieben.
5. Abschließend durch Festziehen der zwei Schrauben
der Aufhängestange das Hängerohr und die
Aufhängestange sichern.
6. Setzen Sie die vormontierte Haltestange an die
Halterung an. Abb. 5
7. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Nut am Kugelgelenk in die
Verdrehsicherung eingeführt ist, um zu verhindern
dass sich der Ventilator während des Betriebs dreht.
VENTILATORFLÜGEL - INSTALLATION
Anbringen der Ventilatorflügel
1. Vor der Installation der Ventilatorflügel sollten Sie die Schrauben am Motor entfernen.
2. Bringen Sie die Ventilatorflügel & die Halterung an, indem Sie den mitgelieferten Schraubensatz
verwenden.
3. Sichern Sie die Flügel am Motor mittels 2 Schrauben mit Beilagscheiben, und achten Sie beim
Eindrehen der Schrauben darauf, dass diese gleich fest angezogen werden. Wiederholen Sie den
Vorgang für alle verbleibenden Ventilatorflügel.

ELEKTRISCHE VERSCHALTUNG - DIAGRAM
WARNHINWEIS: IM INTERESSE IHRER PERSÖNLICHEN SICHERHEIT MÜSSEN ALLE ELEKTRISCHEN

HINWEIS: Das Verkabelungsdiagramm zeigt die Verschaltung des Kabelsatzes für die den Schalter
und das Licht. Das Verkabelungsdiagramm für das Licht und den Schalter werden nicht dargestellt,
wenn Ihr Deckenventilator nicht mit einer Lampe ausgerüstet ist.

ABSCHLUSS DER INSTALLATION
•Nach Abschluss der elektrischen Anschlüsse am Kabelblock der Halterung schließen Sie die Verkabelung des den
Deckenventilator über den Verbindungsstecker an der Netzstromversorgung an.
•Decken Sie die Halterung mit der Abdeckung ab. Die Verkabelung befindet sich nun unter der Abdeckung und Sie
sollten darauf achten, dass diese in diesem Schritt nicht beschädigt wird. Sichern Sie die Abdeckung an der
Halterung der Deckenstange mittels der mitgelieferten Schrauben. Abb. 10
LICHT-FUNKTION (Lichtbausatz ist separat erhältlich)
Der Ventilator kann in Verbindung mit einem Lichtbausatz von Beacon Lighting erhältlich ist. Nehmen Sie die
Gehäuseabdeckung für den Lichtbausatz ab und verbinden Sie den Lichtbausatz mit dem Schaltgehäuse.
Bitte beachten Sie die mit dem Lichtbausatz mitgelieferte Anleitung für die Installation.
Das Ventilatorlicht kann mittels des Schalters an der Wandsteuerung EIN/AUS geschaltet werden. (Abb. 11)
HINWEIS: NUR VOM LIEFERANTEN EMPFOHLENE LICHTBAUSÄTZE SIND UNTER DER
GARANTIEERKLÄRUNG ABGEDECKT.

DER EINSATZ DES DECKENVENTILATORS
VENTILATOR WANDREGLER
Sie können die Geschwindigkeit Ihres Deckenventilators über den Drehschalter (Ventilator) regeln, und das Licht mittels
des Kippschalters (Licht) ein- und ausschalten. Beachten Sie die nachfolgende Abbildung:

RÜCKLAUFFUNKTION
Der Ventilator kann sowohl im Vorlauf als auch im Rücklauf betrieben werden.
SOMMERBETRIEB: Wenn der Schalter für die Rücklauffunktion auf “down” (SOMMER) steht, dreht der Ventilator sich
gegen den Uhrzeigersinn. Die Luftbewegung wird nach unten gelenkt und bringt im Sommer den gewünschten
Abkühlungseffekt.
WINTERBETRIEB: Wenn der Schalter für die Rücklauffunktion auf “up” (WINTER) steht, dreht sich der Ventilator im
Uhrzeigersinn. Die Luftbewegung wird nach oben gelenkt, um im Winter Energie zu sparen.
NACH DER INSTALLATION
WACKELN
Die Flügelblätter des Ventilators wurden ab Werk angepasst, um ein Wackeln möglichst zu vermeiden.
HINWEIS: DA DECKENVENTILATOREN AN EINER GUMMI-ISOLIERSCHEIBE MONTIERT SIND, TENDIEREN
SIE DAZU, WäHREND DES BETRIEBS IN BEWEGUNG ZU SEIN. FALLS DER VENTILATOR ZU FEST AN DER
DECKE BEFESTIGT WIRD, KANN DIES ZU ÜBERMäSSIGER VIBRATION FÜHREN. MEHRERE ZENTIMETER
BEWEGUNGSSPIELRAUM SIND AKZEPTABEL UND STELLEN KEIN PROBLEM DAR.
REDUZIEREN VON WACKELN: ÜBERPRÜFEN SIE, OB ALLE SCHRAUBEN DER BEFESTIGUNGSPLATTEN
UND DES HäNGEROHRS FEST SITZEN.
GERÄUSCHE
In einer geräuscharmen Umgebung kann es gelegentlich (vor allem nachts) vorkommen, dass leise Geräusche des
Ventilators zu vernehmen sind. Das Geräusch des Ventilatormotors kann sich durch geringe Stromschwankungen und
Abweichungen in der Stromfrequenz ändern. Das ist völlig normal. Die meisten Geräusche eines neuen Ventilators
verschwinden nach einer „Eingewöhnungszeit“ von etwa 24 Stunden. Die Garantie des Herstellers erstreckt sich auf
tatsächliche Fehler, die u. U. auftreten können, und NICHT auf geringfügige Beschwerden wie zum Beispiel hörbare
Motorgeräusche. Jeder Elektromotor ist in gewissem Umfang hörbar.
