Safe Use Instruction
This product performance is excellent and reliable in the designed range of use,
but it’s necessary to avoid man-made damage or destroy for the
equipment.
Read the manual carefully and keep this manual for reference if need
afterwards.
Do not put the device close to the water sources or damp places.
Do not put anything on the power cable, it should be placed out of reach.
To avoid causing fire, do not knot or wrap the cable.
Power connector and other device connectors should be firmly
connected with each other, frequently inspection is needed.
Please keep the fiber socket and plug clean. Do not look directly at the
fiber section when the equipment is working.
Please keep the equipment clean and wipe it with a soft cotton cloth if

1. Product Introduction
1.1. Product Description
The MIGE2210 series switches are high-performance unmanaged
industrial Ethernet switches with 10 Ethernet interfaces. The product includes 2
Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and 8 100M Ethernet interfaces, which are suitable
for applications with large bandwidth requirements.
This series of products has a power failure alarm output function, which is
convenient for field engineers to find and handle faults in time. The standard
35mm pitch DIN rail mounting method is ideal for industrial field installation
applications.

3. Hardware Structure
3.1. Chassis
The chassis of the MIGE2210 series industrial Ethernet switches is a small
DIN rail structure. The whole machine adopts a six-sided fully enclosed
structure.
3.2. MIGE2210-2GT Appearance
The front panel of the MIGE2210-2GT integrates 2
10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T adaptive Tx ports and 8
10Base-T/100Base-TX adaptive Tx ports. See Figure 3-1 below.

3.3. MIGE2210-2GF Appearance
The front panel of the MIGE2210-2GF integrates two 1000Base-FX optical
ports and eight 10Base-T/100Base-TX adaptive electrical ports. See Figure
3-2 below.

3.4. MIGE2210-2GF-4F Appearance
The front panel of the MIGE2210-2GF-4F integrates two 1000Base-FX
optical ports, four 100Base-FX optical ports, and four 10Base-T/100Base-TX
adaptive electrical ports. See Figure 3-3 below.

3.5. LED Indicator Light
The LED indicators on the front panel of the MIGE2210 Series Industrial
Ethernet Switches show the status of the system operation and ports, making it
easy to detect and resolve faults. The specific meaning is shown in the table
3-1 LED indicator status list.

3.6. Power Input Terminal
The schematic diagram of the power input terminals of MIGE2210 series
switches is shown in the figure. As shown in Figure 3-4.

Power input
The MIGE2210 Industrial Ethernet Switch can be configured for DC12V-
DC48V, and AD220V inputs. It uses a 5.08mm pitch with a locking terminal to
connect two power inputs. When the input is AD220V, only the PWR1 power
port is valid.
Power failure alarm output
The MIGE2210 series switches support the power-down alarm function.
When the switch is powered normally, the relay normally closes the contact
open circuit. When the switch has no power input or the input power is
abnormal, the relay contact is closed.
The user can use the relay contact to output other external sound and light
alarm devices.
3.7. Fiber Optic Connection
Among the MIGE2210 series, MIGE2210-2GF and MIGE2210-2GF-4F

have two 1000Base-X full-duplex single-mode/multimode Fx interfaces, SFP
hot-swap devices, and LC interfaces. The fiber interface needs to be used in
pairs (TX and RX are a pair), the TX port is the optical transmitter, and the
optical transceiver RX of the optical interface of another remote switch is
connected; the RX port is the optical transceiver, and the same optical
interface is connected to the same remote switch. The light ends TX. Two
redundant 1000Base-X fiber interfaces can be used to connect to the optical
interfaces of two remote switches at the same time.
Figure 3-5 shows the optical module of an SFP.

The hot plugging procedure of the SFP module is as follows. The
schematic diagram is shown in Figure 3-6.
Hot plugging steps:
During the SFP period, observe the end of the PCB gold finger.
Insert the gold finger end into the metal shield cage of the SFP. When
you hear the sound of the cymbal, the device has been inserted into the
position, and then the SFP is inserted and removed, and placed in the normal
position parallel to the interface.
Hot extraction step:
Put the SFP plug and pull handle down perpendicular to the interface. At
this time, the optical device should be disconnected from the hook of the SPF
shielding cage.
Pull out the SFP modules in parallel.

Attention
This switch uses a laser to transmit signals over fiber optic cables. The
laser meets the requirements of Class 1 laser products, and normal
operation is harmless to the eyes. However, when powering up the unit, do
not look directly at the optical transmission port and the fiber optic terminator
end face.

4. Hardware Installation
4.1. Din-rail Installation
For most industrial applications, the 35mm standard DIN rail mounting is
very convenient. When you remove the device from the box, the DIN rail
connector is fixed to the rear panel of the MIGE2210 series switch. If you need
to mount the card on the DIN rail, you should check the DIN rail installation
before installation. It mainly includes the following two items:
Whether the DIN rail is fixed or not, and whether the DIN rail has enough
space for installing the switch.
Is there a power supply on the DIN rail suitable for the operation of this
switch?
After selecting the installation location of the switch, install the switch to
the DIN rail as follows:
Insert the upper part of the DIN rail into the card slot of the circlip on the
upper part of the DIN rail connector. Rotate the device slightly on the upper
panel of the switch and turn the device as shown in A in Figure 4-1.
Insert the DIN rail into the DIN rail connector as shown by B in Figure 4-1.
Make sure that the MIGE2210 series switch devices are securely mounted to
the DIN rail.

4.2. Cable Connection
After the MIGE2210 series switches are properly installed, the cable can
be installed and connected, including the cable connections of the following
interfaces.
Business interface:
The terminal devices provided by this series of products are Gigabit, 100M
Ethernet RJ45 interfaces and Gigabit and 100M Fx ports, so they can be
connected to terminal devices or network devices using direct-connected
network cables and fiber-optic cables.

Connect power supply:
The MIGE2210 series switch devices use the power supply as indicated
on the product label. When all other cables are connected, you can connect to
the power supply.

5. Test Methods
5.1. Self-test Process
The power-on self-test phenomenon of the device under no load is:
At the moment of power-on, all the 100 Mbps Tx port indicators on the
front panel will flash once, and the two Gigabit Tx port indicators will only
illuminate yellow before the RUN indicator starts flashing, and the two yellow
lights will be off after the RUN indicator flashes. Gigabit Fx ports and 100M Fx
indicators will only be lit when an effective network connection is established,
and will normally go out.
5.2. Gigabit Tx Port Test
As shown in Figure 5-1, the switch powers up and connects two
MIGE2210-2GT devices into a chain network. Each device is connected to a
Gigabit electrical port through a direct connection cable and connected to the
test computer. Ping packets, both sides can correctly ping to the other party
without losing packets. At this time, if the computer network card is 100M, the
network port speed light (yellow light) connected to the computer should be off;
if the computer network card is gigabit, then the switch is connected to the
computer with the network port speed light (yellow light) ) should be in the
steady state, so the green light (link/ack light) on the port should be flashing. If
you see the above phenomenon, the two Gigabit electrical ports tested are
working properly.

5.3. 100M Tx Port Test
As shown in Figure 5-2, the switch is powered on, and any two 100 Mbps
Tx ports are connected to the network ports of the two test computers through
the direct connection network cable. The ping command is sent to each other.
The yellow light on the corresponding port should be always on (the computer
network card works in the 100M state) or the normal off (the computer network

card works in the 10M state). The green light should flash. If you see the above
phenomenon, it means that the two hundred megabytes of the tested hardware
are working properly.

5.4. Gigabit Fx Port Test
As shown in Figure 5-3, the switch powers on and connects the Gigabit Fx
ports of the two MIGE2210-2GF devices to each other through fiber-optic
cables. Each device can be connected to a test computer through a
direct-connected network cable. In the computer console, the ping packets are
sent to each other, and both parties can correctly ping each other without
losing packets. At this time, if the computer network card is ten megabytes,
then the network port speed light (yellow light) connected to the computer
should be off; if the computer network card is 100 megabytes, then the switch
is connected to the computer with the network port speed light (yellow light) )
should be always on, so the green light (link/ack light) on the port should be
flashing. If you see the above phenomenon, the two Gigabit optical ports tested
are working properly.

5.5. 100M Fx Test
As shown in Figure 5-4, the switch is powered on, and the 100M Fx ports

of the two MIGE2210-2GF-4S/M devices are connected by fiber cables. Each
device is connected to a 100-Mbps Tx port through a direct-connected network
cable and tested. The computers are connected, and the ping packets are sent
to each other in the computer console, and both parties can correctly ping each
other without losing packets. At this time, if the computer network card is 10M,
then the network port speed light (yellow light) connected to the computer
should be off; if the computer network card is 100M, then the switch is
connected to the computer with the network port speed light (yellow light) )
should be always on, so the green light (link/ack light) on the port should be
flashing. If you see the above phenomenon, the two 100M Fx port of the tested
hardware are working properly.

5.6. Network Connection
MIEN2210 series industrial Ethernet switches are equipped with 8 100M
Ethernet ports and 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports. Each RJ45 port can be directly
connected to the terminal device, or it can be connected to another industrial
Ethernet switch/hub in front of the terminal device. Used as a shared
connection. As shown below.

6. Maintenance and Service
Wuhan Maiwe Communication Co., Ltd. provides a five-year product
warranty from the date of shipment. According to the product specifications
during the warranty period, if there is any malfunction or functional failure of the
