14. Check Damaged Parts

Before further use of the hedge trimmer, a guard

ing, and any other condition that may affect itsoperation.

22. USE TRIMMER
PROPERLY

Useonly for trimming the type of shrub, growth,
and the like, described inthe operating instructions.
Do
not use hedge trim-
mer to cut grass or weeds.

Do
not point blades to anyone in the vicinity.

It
is extremely dangerous to grasp branches while cutting.
If
the bladesjam,
because of
a
piece of wire or impacted branch, switch off immediately and
remove the material stuck in the blades.
25. Be careful not to cut the adapter cord with the blades.
26. When stopping operation or before carrying hedge trimmer, always switch
if off and wait until the blades come to a complete stop. Carry the hedge
trimmer with the blades in front and away from
you.
27. Stop operation immediately if
you
notice anything abnormal. Switchoff the
hedge trimmer and disconnect the battery from the hedge trimmer. Then
inspect
it.
28. When not
in
use, always disconnect the battery fromthe hedgetrimmer and
cover the blades with the blade guard (blade cover).

Carrying the battery
Hook the battery to your waist belt. Ifthe
adaptor cord
is
too longfor your work, use
the band provided to hold
it
when you coil

shorter.
Operation
Do
not attempt to cut branches thicker
than
8
mm
(5/16")
diameter with this
trimmer. These should first the cut with
shears downto the hedge trimming
level.
Hold the tool firmly with both hands.
Switch on the tool without the blades
making any contact. Movethe tool in front
of your body while cutting.

hedge top evenly,

the desired hedge height
and to trim along

using
it
as

reference

MAINTENANCE
CAUTION

Always be sure that the

Blade maintenance
After use, clean off the blades (bothsides)
with
a
stiff brush. Then wipe the blades
with
a
cloth and coat them with light
machineoil.
CAUTION:
Dirt and corrosion cause excessive blade
friction and shorten the operating time per
battery charge.
Storage
Do
not clean the tool, charger and/or battery with benzine, thinner or cleaningchemi-
cals. Cracks and discoloration may be caused.
Do
not store the tool, charger and/or battery in locations where the temperature may
reach or exceed 40°C (104OF).
When storing the tool, use the convenient hole in the bottom of the tool handleto hang
the tool on
a
wall from
a
nail or hook.
*The blade guard (blade cover) can be used
as
an oil reservoir
as
well
as
a
convenient
storage device for the tool while not in use. Secure the blade guard tothe wall (outof
the reach of children) using nails or screws. Fill the blade guard with mixed oil (motor

The only way to dispose

to recycle it. The law prohibitsany other
