FEATURES:
7 Stage Automatic Charging
The Matson WORKSHOP MW15 is fully automatic 7 stage pulse battery
charger.
Automatic chargers prevent your battery from being overcharged and
consequently becoming damaged. The WORKSHOP MW15 can be
connected to the battery indefinitely.
The WORKSHOP MW15 charger can be programmed for different battery
types including GEL, AGM, Deep Cycle, Sealed Lead Acid and Calcium
Batteries and has three Amperage settings, 5/10and 15Amp..
The WORKSHOP MW15 has a unique inbuilt diagnosis program. On con-
nection to the battery the charger will automatically diagnose the batteries
condition and change its charge rate and charge stages accordingly. This
function will optimise charging conditions and extend battery life.
• Solid aluminium housing
• Micro-chip monitoring and control
• Electronic touch-button controls
• Chemistry selection: Sealed lead acid / GEL / Deep Cycle / Calcium
• Cell equalisation technology
• Temperature variable output
• High frequency charging for efficiency
• Polarity protection. Prevents output leads from sparking due to reverse
connection or short circuit.
• Over temperature protection. Fan cooled internals with set cut off point for
additional safety.
• Over current protection. Charger will automatically reduce current for
optimum battery condition.

CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS:
• Check liquid level in battery.
Before attempting to charge the battery remove vent caps and check liquid level (not re-
quired for sealed lead acid and maintenance free batteries). Top up with Matson
distilled water if need and replace vent caps
• Charging a battery not in a vehicle:
Ensure 240Volt power supply is OFF.
Connect black (negative) charging clamp to negative battery post.
Connect red (positive) charging clamp to positive battery post.
Turn on 240Volt power source.
Set battery type. (Chemistry selection)
Select charge rate. (Amperage output)
• Charging a battery in a vehicle:
Ensure 240Volt power supply is OFF.
Position input cable and output cable away from risk ie: fans, bonnet or door
Most vehicles in Australia are negative earth (black cable to chassis of vehicle)
In this case connect red (positive) charge clamp to positive terminal of battery
Connect black (negative) charge clamp to chassis of vehicle away from any moving
parts
Turn on 240Volt power source
Set battery type. (Chemistry selection)
Select charge rate. (Amperage output)
• Disconnecting the charger:
Ensure 240Volt mains supply is turned off and removed from power socket
Remove black (negative) charger clamp from battery post or vehicle chassis first
Remove red (positive ) charger clamp from battery post next.
