Mit dem Elektro-Akupunkturgerät ACS/ACP haben Sie ein Qualitätsprodukt
von MEDISANA erworben.
Dieses Gerät ist für die manuelle Therapie durch Akupunktur bestimmt.
Damit Sie den gewünschten Erfolg erzielen und recht lange Freude an Ihrem
MEDISANA Elektro-Akupunkturgerät ACS/ACP haben, empfehlen wir Ihnen,
die nachstehenden Hinweise zum Gebrauch und zur Pflege sorgfältig zu lesen.
Lesen Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise sorgfältig
durch, bevor Sie das Gerät einsetzen und bewahren Sie
die Gebrauchsanweisung für die weitere Nutzung auf.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur entsprechend seiner Bestimmung laut Gebrauchs-
anweisung.
• Benutzen Sie keine Zusatzteile, die nicht vom Hersteller empfohlen werden.
• Stecken Sie keine fremden Gegenstände in eine der Öffnungen. Vermeiden Sie
den Kontakt mit spitzen oder scharfen Gegenständen. Bei Zweckentfremdung
erlischt der Garantieanspruch.
• Wenn das Gerät von, an oder in der Nähe von Kindern oder von durch eine
Behinderung eingeschränkte Menschen benutzt wird, sollte dies immer unter
Aufsicht geschehen. Medizinprodukte sind kein Spielzeug!
• Im Falle von Störungen reparieren Sie das Gerät nicht selbst. Es erlischt dann
nicht nur jeglicher Garantieanspruch, sondern es können ernsthafte Gefahren
entstehen (Feuer, elektrischer Schlag, Verletzung). Lassen Sie Reparaturen nur
von autorisierten Servicestellen durchführen.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nie beim Baden oder Duschen. Sollte jedoch einmal
Flüssigkeit in das Gerät eindringen, müssen die Batterien sofort entfernt und
weitere Anwendungen vermieden werden. Setzen Sie sich mit Ihrem Fach-
händler oder unserer Servicestelle in Verbindung.
• Batterien müssen über spezielle Sammelbehälter oder in einem Fachgeschäft
entsorgt werden. Werfen Sie diese niemals in den Haushaltsmüll.
• Im Falle eines Diabetes oder anderer Erkrankungen sollten Sie vor der Anwen-
dung des Gerätes Rücksprache mit Ihrem Hausarzt halten.
• Schwangere sollten die notwendigen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen und ihre indivi-
duelle Belastbarkeit beachten, ggf. halten Sie Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt.
• Behandeln Sie keine Körperpartien, die Schwellungen, Verbrennungen, Ent-
zündungen, Hautausschläge, Wunden oder empfindliche Stellen aufweisen.
• Die Behandlung sollte angenehm sein. Spüren Sie Schmerzen oder empfinden
die Anwendung als unangenehm, brechen Sie ab und halten Sie Rücksprache
mit Ihrem Arzt.

Lieferumfang
und Verpackung
• Therapien mit dem MEDISANA ACS/ACP ersetzen keine ärztlichen Diagnosen
oder Behandlungen. Fragen Sie Ihren Arzt bei jeder Art von Schmerzen oder
Krankheiten, bevor Sie das Gerät benutzen.
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Sie einen Herzschrittmacher oder an-
dere Implantate besitzen.
• Während der Bedienung einer Maschine oder während des Auto-Fahrens darf
die Elektrostimulation nicht durchgeführt werden.
• Wenn Unregelmäßigkeiten des Herzens oder Herzkrankheiten bekannt sind
(z.B. Arrhythmien oder Myocardschäden), sollten Sie das Gerät nicht an-
wenden.
• Soweit Elektroden verwendet werden, dürfen diese nicht auf offenen Haut-
stellen angebracht werden. Nehmen Sie die Elektroden vor dem Baden oder
Schwimmen ab.
• Die Elektroakupunkturspitze sowie die zusätzliche Spitze bestehen aus ver-
goldetem Messing. In Einzelfällen können allergische Reaktionen der Haut
auftreten.
• Treten Hautirritationen auf, brechen Sie die Behandlung ab und suchen Sie
den Arzt auf.
• Wenden Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe des Kehlkopfs an.
• Eine Akupunkturtherapie sollte nur an den im Begleitbuch angegebenen
Punkten erfolgen. Zusätzliche Informationen erfragen Sie bei Ihrem Arzt oder
Heilpraktiker.
Bitte prüfen Sie zunächst, ob das Gerät vollständig ist.

Verpackungen sind wiederverwendbar oder können dem Rohstoffkreislauf
zurückgeführt werden. Bitte entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigtes Ver-
packungsmaterial ordnungsgemäß. Sollten Sie beim Auspacken einen Trans-
portschaden bemerken, setzen Sie sich bitte sofort mit Ihrem Händler in
Verbindung.
WARNUNG
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Verpackungsfolien nicht in die
Hände von Kindern gelangen. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr!
Die Akupunktur ist eine alte chinesische Therapiekunst, bei der Nadeln in genau
festgelegte Körperstellen, die sogenannten Akupunkturpunkte, eingeführt wer-
den. Sie befinden sich entlang von Körperlinien, den Meridianen.
Über diese Akupunkturpunkte werden energetische Störungen im Organismus
ausgeglichen und es können bestimmte Körperorgane oder -zonen stimuliert,

sowie deren Funktion und Vitalität angeregt werden. Diese Stimulation kann auch
ebenso durch Druck (Akupressur) oder ungefährliche elektrische Impulse wie mit
dem MEDISANA Elektro-Akupunkturgerät ACS/ACP an den entsprechenden
Akupunkturpunkten erfolgen.
Akupunktur wird unter anderem bei Schmerzsyndromen und funktionalen
Störungen vielfältiger Art eingesetzt.
Wenn die Batterieenergie verbraucht ist, beginnt die rote LED

zu blinken.
Um einen einwandfreien Betrieb des Gerätes zu gewährleisten, tauschen Sie
dann die Batterien aus. Dazu schieben Sie an der Unterseite des Gerätes den
Batteriefachdeckel

nach hinten weg. Entnehmen Sie die beiden Batterien
und ersetzen Sie sie durch zwei neue Batterien des gleichen Typs (2 x 3V
Lithium CR 2032). Achten Sie beim Einlegen darauf, dass die +Seiten zur Unter-
seite des Gerätes (Seite mit dem Typenschild) zeigen. Verschließen Sie das
Batteriefach.
BATTERIE-SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
• Von Kindern fernhalten! • Nicht wiederaufladbar!
• Nicht kurzschließen! • Nicht ins Feuer werfen!
• Werfen Sie verbrauchte Batterien und Akkus nicht in den
Hausmüll, sondern in den Sondemüll oder in eine Batterie-
Sammelstation im Fachhandel.
Das MEDISANA ACS/ACP kann in drei Bereichen verwendet werden:
Suchmodus: damit wird der Akupunkturpunkt aufgespürt.
Manuelle Therapie: keine Zeitbegrenzung bei der Therapie.
Therapie mit Zeitautomatik: 30 Sekunden bzw. 60 Sekunden Therapiezeit
des Akupunkturpunktes.
Schalten Sie das Gerät durch Drücken der Taste

ein. Der eingeschaltete
Zustand ist durch einen Signalton und die leuchtende LED

über der Zeit-
intervalltaste

erkennbar. Das Gerät befindet sich jetzt im Suchmodus.
Nehmen Sie das Gerät wie auf dem Foto dargestellt in die Hand.
Halten Sie das MEDISANA ACS/ACP
so, dass Sie die Kontaktelektrode

berühren. Für die Anwendung ist ein
geschlossener Stromkreis notwendig.
Die Kontaktelektrode

bildet hierbei
den einen Pol (Gegenelektrode) und die
Akupunkturspitze

den anderen Pol
(aktive Elektrode).
Bei der Behandlung an einer anderen Person ist es ebenfalls wichtig, diesen
Stromkreis geschlossen zu halten, d.h. beispielsweise durch Berührung der zu
behandelnden Person mit der freien Hand oder der Benutzung der externen
Elektrode (siehe “Externe Elektrode”).

Setzen Sie die Spitze mit leichtem Druck auf die Haut auf – etwa in dem Gebiet,
in dem sich der Akupunkturpunkt befinden muss (siehe Begleitbuch). Wenn Sie
mit der Suche beginnen, wird der Signalton heller und in der Anzeige leuchten
ein oder mehrere LED’s auf, je näher Sie einem Akupunkturpunkt kommen.
Suchen Sie mit der Spitze den Punkt so lange, bis der Signalton am hellsten ist
und möglichst viele Leuchtdioden

angezeigt werden.
HINWEIS
Manchmal liegen Akupunkturpunkte sehr eng aneinander.
Um den richtigen Punkt für Ihre angestrebte Therapie zu
finden, orientieren Sie sich immer auch am beiliegenden
Akupunkturbuch oder weiterführender Fachliteratur.
Wenn Sie den Akupunkturpunkt gefunden haben, drücken Sie mit dem Zeige-
finger die Stimulationstaste

und halten diese gedrückt. Der Signalton ver-
stummt und die LED

beginnt zu blinken; gleichzeitig blinkt auch immer die
erste LED in Anzeige

. Sie therapieren jetzt den Akupunkturpunkt mit der
geringsten Stromstärke (Grundeinstellung). Möchten Sie die Intensität
erhöhen, empfiehlt es sich, mit der Akupunkturspitze

auf dem Punkt zu
bleiben und die Intensitätseinstellung zu verändern (siehe auch „Veränderung
der Intensität“). Sobald Sie die Taste

loslassen, wird die Stimulation be-
endet und das Gerät ist wieder im Suchmodus. Sie bestimmen also selbst, wie
lange die elektrischen Impulse gesendet werden.
Das MEDISANA ACS/ACP kann durch eine interne Uhr mit der Taste

auf
30 Sekunden bzw. 60 Sekunden Stimulationszeit eingestellt werden. Diese
eingestellte Zeit bleibt so lange erhalten, bis sie durch Drücken der Taste


Nach dem Einschalten ist das MEDISANA ACS/ACP immer in der geringsten
Intensitätsstufe eingestellt (Grundeinstellung). Für bestimmte Akupunkturan-
wendungen können jedoch höhere Stärken notwendig sein.
Sie können die Wirkungsintensität vor oder während der Stimulation ver-
ändern. Es empfiehlt sich allerdings, die Intensität erst während des Stimulie-
rens anzupassen, da es zum einen unterschiedlich empfindliche Körperstellen
gibt und auch das Stromempfinden von Mensch zu Mensch verschieden ist.
Drücken Sie bei eingeschaltetem Gerät die Intensitätstaste

an der Stelle mit
dem Plus-Zeichen (+) so oft nacheinander, bis Sie die gewünschte Stärke
erreicht haben. In der Anzeige

sehen Sie, dass die Leuchtanzeige mit jedem
Tastendruck um eine Stufe weiter wandert. Leuchtet die hinterste LED, ist die
höchste Intensität eingestellt. Drücken Sie die Intensitätstaste

an der Stelle
mit dem Minus-Zeichen (-), verringert sich die Stärke wieder Stufe um Stufe bis
zur geringsten Intensität (vorderste LED).
HINWEIS
Die Intensität wird an verschiedenen Körperstellen unterschiedlich
stark empfunden. Bevor Sie den Akupunkturpunkt wechseln, ist
es deshalb empfehlenswert, die Intensität immer auf die geringste
Stufe zurück zu stellen!
Mit dem MEDISANA ACS/ACP erhalten Sie eine Akupunkturspitze

, einen
Ohrhörer

(nur ACP) und eine externe Elektrode mit Kabel

(nur ACP).
Für das MEDISANA ACS sind: Ohrhörer und Externe Electrode (Artikel-Nr

Akupunkturspitze
Die zusätzliche Akupunkturspitze

besitzt ein feineres und sehr schmal
zulaufendes Endstück und ermöglicht eine noch effizientere Stimulation des
Akupunkturpunktes. Dies kann vor allem beim Suchen, Finden und Anregen
von sehr dicht zusammen liegenden Punkten sinnvoll sein, z.B. im Ohr. Setzen
Sie die Spitze einfach auf das Gerät. Achten Sie darauf, dass sie fest sitzt und
Kontakt mit dem Gerät hat.
Ohrhörer (nur ACP)
Der Ohrhörer

kann über die Buchse

mit dem MEDISANA ACS/ACP
verbunden werden. Nun ist das akustische Signal nur noch über den Ohrhörer
zu empfangen.
HINWEIS
Vergessen Sie nicht, das Gerät nach Beendigung der Anwendung
auszuschalten. Haben Sie mit dem Ohrhörer gearbeitet und diesen
mit dem Gerät zur Seite gelegt, können Sie den eingeschalteten
Zustand nur noch an der leuchtenden LED

erkennen.
Der Batterieverbrauch erhöht sich, wenn Sie das MEDISANA ACS/ACP

Externe Elektrode mit Kabel (nur ACP)
Stecken Sie die externe Elektrode

in die Anschlussbuchse

. Bei Selbst-
therapie binden Sie sich die Elektrode um das eigene Handgelenk oder den
Arm, bei Therapie einer anderen Person um deren Handgelenk oder Arm. Nun
können Sie das MEDISANA ACS/ACP halten wie Sie möchten, ohne auf den
Kontakt mit der Kontaktelektrode

achten zu müssen oder - bei der Partner-
behandlung - ohne die zu behandelnde Person zusätzlich berühren zu müssen.
Der geschlossene Stromkreis wird durch die Anbringung der externen Elek-
trode gewährleistet. Dies ermöglicht eine freiere Behandlung.
HINWEIS
Den Kontakt mit der externen Elektrode verbessern Sie
gegebenenfalls, indem Sie die Elektrode leicht anfeuchten,
bevor Sie sie auf der Haut anbringen.
Warum meldet mein Gerät manchmal keine Akupunkturpunkte?
1. Bei Selbstbehandlung
Haben Sie Kontakt mit der Kontaktelektrode

? Der Stromkreis muss immer
geschlossen sein. Halten Sie das MEDISANA ACS/ACP so, dass mindestens ein
Finger die Kontaktelektrode berührt.
2. Bei Partner/innen-Anwendung
Haben Sie den Stromkreis geschlossen, also Berührung mit der Partnerin oder
dem Partner? Bei Behandlung mit externer Elektrodenanwendung: Sitzt die
externe Elektrode richtig, d.h. fest und sicher auf der fettfreien Haut? Steckt
das Verbindungskabel fest in der Anschlussbuchse

? Auch hier muss darauf
geachtet werden, dass der Stromkreis immer geschlossen ist.
3. Bei Behandlung mit der Akupunkturspitze

Hat die aufgesteckte Spitze Kontakt zum Gerät? Nehmen Sie diese gegebe-
nenfalls einmal ab, setzen sie neu auf und drehen kurz daran, um den Kontakt
wieder herzustellen.
Wie stelle ich den Ton ab?
Stecken Sie den Kopfhörer ein. Nun können Sie den Ton in der Anwendungs-
umgebung nicht mehr hören, lediglich direkt über Ohrhörer. Die Anzeige
der Akupunkturpunkte erkennen Sie weiterhin zusätzlich über die optischen
Signale

.
Kann mir durch den Strom etwas passieren?
Nein, denn die Stromstärke der elektrischen Impulse ist so gering, dass sie auch
bei längerer Anwendung völlig ungefährlich bleibt. Allerdings sollte die Inten-
sität je nach Empfindlichkeit des Anwendungspunktes reguliert werden. So ist
zum Beispiel die Haut im Gesichtsbereich sensibler als an der Hand. Beginnen
Sie deshalb bei jeder neuen Punktstimulation wieder mit der geringsten Inten-
sitätsstufe und steigern diese langsam je nach persönlichem Empfinden (siehe
auch: „Veränderung der Intensität“). Die Anwendung sollte nie unangenehm
sein.

Welche Intensität soll ich wählen?
Bitte regeln Sie die Intensität so, dass sie als angenehm empfunden wird. Sie
sollte keinesfalls schmerzhaft empfunden werden, jedoch sollten die Impulse
spürbar sein. Die Intensität hängt auch davon ab, wo Sie akupunktieren.
• Entfernen Sie die Batterien, bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen.
• Verwenden Sie nie aggressive Reinigungsmittel oder starke Bürsten.
• Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem weichen Tuch, das Sie mit einer milden
Seifenlauge leicht befeuchten. Tauchen Sie das Gerät zum Reinigen niemals
ins Wasser, und achten Sie ggf. darauf, dass kein Wasser in das Gerät
eindringt. Benutzen Sie das Gerät erst wieder, wenn es völlig trocken ist.
• Gehören zum Gerät separate Ansatzteile, reinigen Sie diese - falls nötig -
extra mit einer kleinen, weichen Bürste. Lassen Sie die Ansatzteile erst
vollständig trocknen, bevor Sie diese erneut auf das Gerät setzen.
Dieses Gerät darf nicht zusammen mit dem Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Jeder Verbraucher ist verpflichtet, alle elektrischen oder elektronischen Geräte,
egal, ob sie Schadstoffe enthalten oder nicht, bei einer Sammelstelle seiner
Stadt oder im Handel abzugeben, damit sie einer umweltschonenden Entsor-
gung zugeführt werden können.

Bitte wenden Sie sich im Garantiefall an Ihr Fachgeschäft oder direkt an die
Servicestelle. Sollten Sie das Gerät einschicken müssen, geben Sie bitte den
Defekt an und legen eine Kopie der Kaufquittung bei.
Es gelten dabei die folgenden Garantiebedingungen:
1. Auf MEDISANA Produkte wird ab Verkaufsdatum eine Garantie für drei
Jahre gewährt. Das Verkaufsdatum ist im Garantiefall durch die Kauf-
quittung oder Rechnung nachzuweisen.
2. Mängel infolge von Material- oder Fertigungsfehlern werden innerhalb der
Garantiezeit kostenlos beseitigt.
3. Durch eine Garantieleistung tritt keine Verlängerung der Garantiezeit,
weder für das Gerät noch für ausgewechselte Bauteile, ein.
4. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind:
a. alle Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Behandlung, z.B. durch Nicht-

2.1
Scope of supply
and packaging
• Treatment with the MEDISANA ACS/ACP cannot replace diagnoses and
treatment by a physician. Consult your doctor about any type of pain or disease
before using the device.
• Do not use the device if you have a pacemaker or other implantation.
• The electro-stimulation must not be carried out while operating a machine or
driving an automobile.
• If you are known to have irregularities of the heart or heart disease (e.g. ar-
rhythmia or myocard disorders), you should not use the device.
• If electrodes are used, these must not be applied to injured areas of the skin.
Remove the electrode before swimming or bathing.
• The contact electrode tip and the accupuncture tip is made out of gold plated
brass. In isolated cases allergic reactions of the skin can occur.
• If the skin becomes irritated, discontinue the treatment and consult a physi-
cian.
• Do not use the device in the vicinity of the throat.
• An acupuncture treatment should be applied only on the points indicated
in the accompanying book. Ask your doctor or non-medical practitioner for
additional information.

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese art of treatment, in which needles are in-
serted into precisely defined areas of the body, the so-called acupuncture points.
These are located along lines of the body called meridians.
By means of these acupuncture points, energetic disorders in the organism are
equalized, and specific bodily organs or zones can be stimulated, thereby also
stimulating their function and vitality. This stimulation can also be achieved
by pressure (acupressure) or harmless electrical impulses such as with the
MEDISANA ACS/ACP at the respective acupuncture points.
Acupuncture is applied especially in the case of pain syndromes and many types
of dysfunctions.

When the battery energy begins to be expended, the red LED

begins to
blink. In order to ensure proper functioning of the device, change the batteries.
To do this, push the battery compartment lid

on the bottom of the device
away toward the back. Remove both batteries and replace them with two new
batteries of the same type (two 3V Lithium CR 2032). When inserting them,
make sure that the + ends face the bottom of the device (the side with the type
plate). Close the battery compartment.
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
• Keep away from children. • Do not recharge.
• Do not short-circuit. • Do not throw into fire.
• Do not dispose of old batteries with your household waste,
but dispose of them at a battery collection station at a
recycling site or in a shop.
The MEDISANA ACS/ACP can be used in three ways:
Search mode: this locates the acupuncture point.
Manual treatment: no time limit for the treatment.
Treatment with automatic timer: 30 seconds or 60 seconds of treatment
on the acupuncture point.

. A complete circuit is necessary for operation. The contact electrode

plete, i.e. by touching the person being treated with your free hand or by using

Apply the tip to the skin with light pressure - in the approximate area where
the acupuncture point should be located (see accompanying book). When you
begin searching, the audio signal will become brighter, and one or more LEDs
will light up on the display the closer you come to an acupuncture point. Search
for the point with the tip until the audio signal is at its brightest and the most
diodes

are illuminated.
NOTE
Sometimes acupuncture points are located very close to one
another. In order to find the right point for the desired
treatment, always refer to the accompanying acupuncture
book or specialized literature.
Once you have found the acupuncture point, press the stimulation button

with your index finger and keep it depressed. The audio signal ceases and the
LED

begins blinking; at the same time the first LED in display

blinks con-
tinuously. You are now treating the acupuncture point with the lowest electric
current (basic setting). If you wish to increase the intensity, it is recommended
to keep the tip

on the acupuncture point and to change the intensity set-
ting (see also "Adjusting the intensity"). As soon as you release the button

,
the stimulation ceases and the device returns to search mode. Therefore you
yourself determine how long the electrical impulses are transmitted.
By means of an internal clock the MEDISANA ACS/ACP can be set for 30
seconds or 60 seconds of stimulation using button

until it is changed by pressing the button

or until the device is switched off.
In the basic setting, as soon as you turn on the device, the manual mode is
always activated first.
Before searching for the acupuncture point, set the desired time by pressing

After switching on the device, the MEDISANA ACS/ACP is always set at the
lowest level of intensity (basic setting). For certain acupuncture treatments,
however, higher intensities may be necessary.
You can change the effective intensity before or during stimulation. It is recom-
mended, however, not to adjust the intensity until stimulation is applied, since
different areas of the body vary in sensitivity and also because different people
experience the electric impulse subjectively.
When the device is on, press the intensity button

on the plus sign (+) re-
peatedly until you have reached the desired intensity. In the display

you will
see that the light display moves one step further each time the button is
pressed.
When the last LED is illuminated, the device is set at the highest intensity. If you
press the intensity button

on the minus sign (-), the intensity is reduced step
by step down to the lowest intensity (foremost LED).
NOTE
The intensity is experienced very differently at different points
of the body. Before changing the acupuncture point, it is
therefore recommended to always reset the intensity to the
lowest level!
With the MEDISANA ACS/ACP you will receive an acupuncture tip

, an ear-
phone

(ACP only) and an external electrode with cable

(ACP only).
For the MEDISANA ACS, the earphone and external electrode (item no.
81650) are available as an accessory set.
Acupuncture tip
The additional acupuncture tip

has a finer and very narrow tapered end,
enabling even more efficient stimulation of the acupuncture point. This can be
especially useful in searching for, finding and stimulating points located very
close together, e.g. in the ear. Simply place the tip on the device. Make sure
that it is seated securely and has contact with the device.
Earphone (ACP only)
The earphone

can be connected to the MEDISAN ACS/ACP by means of
the jack

. Now the acoustic signal can only be heard through the earphone.
NOTE
Remember to switch off the device after completion of the
treatment. If you have worked with the earphone and set it
aside with the device, you can tell that the device is switched
on only by means of the illuminated LED

.
The battery consumption increases if you leave the
MEDISANA ACS/ACP switched on unnecessarily.

fasten the electrode around your own wrist or arm, for treatment of another
person around their wrist or arm. Now you can hold the MEDISANA ACS/ACP
as you wish, without having to concentrate on keeping contact with the contact
electrode

or - when treating someone else - without having to touch the
person being treated more than necessary. The completed circuit is ensured by
attaching the external electrode. This enables more convenient treatment.
NOTE
You can also improve the contact with the external
electrode by slightly moistening the electrode before applying
it to the skin.
Why does my device sometimes indicate no acupuncture points?
1. For self-treatment
Do you have contact with the contact electrode

? The electric circuit must
always be complete. Hold the MEDISANA ACS/ACP in such a way that at least
one finger is touching the contact electrode.
2. For treatment of others
Have you completed the electric circuit, i.e. contact with the person being
treated? For treatment with the use of the external electrode: Is the external
electrode properly applied, i.e. securely on the non-oily skin? Is the connection
cable connected tightly in the jack

? Here one must also make sure that the
electric circuit is always complete.
3. For treatment with the acupuncture tip


How do I turn off the sound?
Plug in the earphone. Now you can no longer hear the sound in the treatment
environment, but only through the earphone. The display of the acupuncture
points is still indicated additionally by means of the optical signals


Can the electricity harm me?
No, because the intensity of the electrical impulses is so low that it is fully
harmless even when applied over a longer period of time. The intensity should,
however, be adjusted depending on the sensitivity of the application point. For
example, the skin in the facial area is more sensitive than on the hand. For each
new stimulation of a point, you should therefore begin with the lowest level of
intensity, increasing it gradually according to individual preference (see also:
"Adjusting the intensity"). The treatment should never be unpleasant.

What intensity should I select?
Please adjust the intensity in such a way that the sensation is pleasant. Under
no circumstances should the experience be painful, although the impulses
should be noticeable. The intensity also depends on where you apply acu-
puncture.
• Remove the batteries before you clean the unit.
• Never use strong cleaning agents or stiff brushes.
• Clean the unit with a soft cloth which has been lightly moistened with a mild
soap. Never dip the unit into water for cleaning and ensure that no water
gets into the unit at any time. Only use the unit again, when it is fully dry.
• If there are separate heads for the unit, then clean them as necessary with a
small soft brush. First allow the heads to dry off completely before you use
them again on the unit.
This product must not be disposed together with the domestic waste.
All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices, regardless
of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a municipal or commer-
cial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally
acceptable manner.
Please remove the batteries before disposing of the equipment. Do not dis-
pose of old batteries with your household waste, but dispose of them at a
battery collection station at a recycling site or in a shop.
Consult your municipal authority or your dealer for information about disposal.
