Check the brakes for proper operation. Make s re that all parts are sec re and
that moving parts are in good working order.

1. Proper fitting height is determined when standing. Yo r
good leg sho ld be straight and yo r inj red leg sho ld be
resting comfortably in the center of the c shion. There
sho ld be eq al press re on yo r good foot and the knee of
the inj red leg. Yo r hips m st be level with yo r back
straight.
2. Handlebars sho ld be in a straight p position for se.
Angling the tiller more than 10 degrees from top center may
ca se damage to nit and/or possible falls.
3. Attach basket by lining p the bracket on basket with the
prongs on the knee walker.
To Adjust Angle of Tiller:
• Locate Knob on lower section of tiller.
• Loosen knob.
• Raise tiller to the perpendic lar setting.
• Tighten knob.
To Adjust Height of Handlebars:
• Locate Knob at top of tiller.
• Remove Knob, Spacer, and Bolt.
• Extend handlebars p to desired
• height, align holes in tiller.
• Insert bolt thro gh tiller.
• P t spacer and then knob onto the
bolt extending o t from the tiller.
• Tighten knob.

To Adjust Height of Knee Rest:
• Locate seat height adj stment handle nder the back of
knee rest.(Fig re A)
• While holding front of knee rest, sq eeze lever p
towards seat.
• Raise knee rest to proper height by p lling p on knee
rest from front and back evenly. (Fig re B)
• Release hand lever shown in Fig re A.
• Check that the cross-frame is firmly seated into the desired
slot on the height adj stment lever. (Fig re C)
• Verify that the knee rest is sec rely locked into place by Figure A
applying press re firmly on the knee rest with both hands.
• To Lower, sq eeze lever, lift p on seat, and then lower while keeping the lever activated.

Check that all fittings, knobs, and adjustments are secure.

M THODS FOR PROP R US
After yo have sized the Weil Knee Walker to fit yo r height (making s re there is eq al press re on yo r good
foot and the knee of the inj red leg and that yo r hips are level with yo r back straight), yo sho ld se yo r good
foot to propel in forward direction.
1.
Engage brake on handle bars.
2.
Place knee on knee rest.
3.
Release brake.
4.
Use Remaining leg to propel forward.
5.
Engage brake to slow down or t rn.

TURNS
The Weil Knee Walker will make t rns by simply moving the handle bars with a minim m amo nt of effort.
T rns sho ld only be performed while at a slow rate of movement. To t rn right, rotate handlebars to the right. To
t rn left, rotate handlebars to the left.
BRAK / PARKING BRAK
The nit comes standard with two hand brakes and two b tton p sh down locking brakes. Use the hand brake to
control yo r speed, j st as yo wo ld do on a bicycle. Use the locking brake when yo wish to remain stationary or
if yo choose to sit on the knee rest to relax. Having two brake options will eliminate the problems that occ r if a
ser has little to no strength in one hand.
To Operate the Brakes:
• To slow down, sq eeze the brake handles.
• To lock the brakes, sq eeze the brake handles and
depress silver b tton on brake handle. (Fig re E)
If the brakes have been adj sted b t the rear wheel
on the knee walker moves while the brakes are in
the locked position, DO NOT se the knee walker.

• To release the brakes from the locked position, simply
sq eeze the brake handles.

Caution: After making any adjustments to the Weil Knee Walker brakes, you must test the brakes before
the knee walker is used. See Maintenance instructions.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

MAINT NANC :
The Weil Knee Walker by Medline sho ld be checked periodically to ens re the brakes, seat lever, steering, and
wheels are f nctioning properly and that all parts are sec re.
Always test the brakes by both walking and sq eezing the brakes and by stopping, p shing down on the brakes to a
locked position, and then trying to p sh the knee walker. If the brakes do not lock the wheels, the brakes need to be
adj sted. If adj stment does not tighten the brakes, DO NOT se the knee walker.
Check that seat lever is sec re and f nctioning as it sho ld. Steering sho ld be tight, check for “slop” and if
handlebars are aligned correctly. Check that all three wheels spin normally.
To Adjust the Brake Tension:
1. Locate co pler where the two pper cables combine to form one brake cable
(middle of tiller)
2. Hold brake co ple tightly and p ll down on single brake cable coming o t of
bottom of co pler.
3. If yo need to tighten the brakes, screw the adj stment sleeve located at bottom
of co pler away from co pler. When at desired tightness, adj st lock n t p
against co pler.
4. If yo need to loosen the brakes, screw the adj stment lock n t tight against top
of adj stment screw and rotate adj stment screw closer to co pler.
