General Instructions
BEFORE YOU START PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
- Check the pack and make sure you have all the parts listed.
- When you are ready to start, make sure you have the right tools at hand (not supplied)
including a Phillips screwdriver, Stanley knife, wood saw, step ladder and drill with 2mm
bit.
- Ensure there is plenty of space and a clean dry area for assembly.
TIMBER
As with all natural materials, timber can be aected during various weather conditions.
For the duration of heavy or extended periods of rain, swelling of the wood panels may
occur. Warping of the wood may also occur during excessive dry spells due to an interior
moisture loss. Unfortunately, these processes cannot be avoided but can be helped. It is
suggested that the outdoor building is sprayed with water during extended periods of
warm sunshine and sheltered as much as possible during rain or snow.
Our buildings are pre treated with a water based treatment**; this only helps to protect
the product during transit and for upto 3 months against mould. To validate your
guarantee and ensure longevity of the product, it is ESSENTIAL the building is treated
with a wood preserver within the rst three months of assembly and thereafter in
accordance with the manufactures recommendations. Care must be taken to ensure
the product is placed on a suitable base.
BUILDING A BASE
When thinking about where the building and base is going to be constructed:
Ensure that there will be access to all sides for maintenance work and annual
treatment.
Ensure the base is level and is built on rm ground, to prevent distortion. Refer to
diagrams for the base dimensions, The base should be slightly smaller than the external
measurement of the building, i.e. The cladding should overlap the base, creating a run
o for water. It is also recommended that the oor be at least 25mm above the
surrounding ground level to avoid ooding.
TYPES OF BASE
- Concrete 75mm laid on top of 75mm hard-core.
- Slabs laid on 50mm of sharp sand.
Whilst all products manufactured are made to the highest standards of Safety and in
the case of childrens products independently tested to EN71 level, we cannot accept
responsibility for your safety whilst erecting or using this product.

**Protim Aquatan T5 (621)**
Your building has been treated with Aquatan.
Aquatan is a water-based concentrate which is diluted with water, the building as been treated by the correct
application of Aquatan solution and then allowed to dry.
Aquatan is a decorative nish to colour the wood, which is applied industrially to timber fence panels and
garden buildings.
Aquatan undiluted contains: boric acid, sodium hydroxide 32% solution, aqueos mixture of sodium dioctyl
sulphosuccinat and alcohols: 2, 4, 6-trichlorophenol.

Step 1
Insert the glazing sheet into the window rebate, ensure a
ush t. Attach window beading with the 25mm glazing
pins provided, x4 pins per beading. When nailing pins
protect the glazing sheet with a piece of cardboard or
similar to avoid breakage and scratches.

Step 2
Fix the T hinges to the top and bottom of
each door and a hinge in the middle, as
shown in the illustration using 30mm black
screws. Secure each door to the door gable
again using 30mm black screws.

Fix the door beading strips to the door gable
using 4x30mm screws for each strip.
Make sure to attatch the strips by screwing
into the door gable through the strip

Step 4
Attach the door strips to the master door,
securing into place using 3x30mm screws
per strip.

Place oor on rm and level base, ensure
base has suitable drainage free from areas
where water can collect. (See front page on
base requirements).
Place the two Floor Panels along side each
other so that the oor bearers sit ush
together and x with 8x40mm Screws.

the window side onto the assembly.
Fix the panels with 50mm

Place the plain gable and rst plain
side onto the oor and x in place.
Fix the corners with 50mm
screws.
Do not secure the building
to the oor until the roof is

Line the roof support blocks
against the gable framing &
x in place using 4x50mm per
block
Attach an “L” bracket to the
centre of each block using
2x30mm screws per bracket.
*Ensure to align the bracket with the
roof support bar.
Place the roof support bar on
top of the blocks and secure
through the “L” brackets, using
2x30mm screws per side.

Lay two roof panels upside
down on a at level surface
and connect together using
a “U” channel, securing with
10x30mm screws.
*Repeat this process with
the next two roof panels.

Locate the roof panels on to the
gables, making sure the roofs
sit inbetween the blocks on each
gable.
*Ensure there is approximately
50mm of roof overhanging at
the rear of the building.
Secure the roof section in place
with 12x50mm screws per side
side as shown in the illustration.

position, secure the
building to the oor using
40x50mm screws.
*Ensure to align the screws with
the oor bearers underneath.

Step 13
Place the veranda oor to the front
of the building and secure in place
using 4x50mm screws as shown in
the illustration.
*Before xing ensure the oor sits
centrally.

Locate the veranda side rails on to
the oor (making sure the rails
are ush to the edge of the oor)
and secure in place using 5x50mm
screws per side.
Fix a veranda supports to the front
of each rail with 2x50mm screws

Fix the cover trims to each corner of
the building and across the panel
joints on each side, securing the
trims in place with 18x30mm screws

Step 16
Cut the felt into 3 sheets and lay onto the
roof as shown in the illustration. Once
arranged secure the felt into position with
180x felt tacks at 100mm intervals.
*Ensure there is approximately 50mm of
overhanging felt around all sides.

(trapping the felt between the
fascia and building), securing

Fix the casement stays to each

onto the xings when closed
before securing into place.

Attach the tower bolt strips to the top
and bottom of the slave door with
2x30mm screws per strip.
Align the tower bolts onto the blocks
and secure in place using 6x30mm

Fix the press lock to the master door

lock and the mechanism can be opened

Attach a turn button to the top and bottom
of the slave door (external) using 1x30mm
black screw per turn button, ensuring the
turn button can move without restriction &
catches the master door.
*These turn buttons help to keep your doors
straight during high and low levels of
moisture content in the air.
