are environmentally friendly for
disposal, and can normally be
recycled.
Ensure that any plastic wrappings,
bags, etc. are disposed of safely and
kept out of the reach of babies and
young children. Danger of suffocation!
Rather than just throwing these
materials away, please ensure they are
offered for recycling.
Disposing of your old

Electrical and electronic appliances
often contain materials which, if
handled or disposed of incorrectly,
could be potentially hazardous to
human health and to the environment.
They are, however, essential for the
correct functioning of your appliance.
Please do not dispose of your old
appliance with your household waste.
Please dispose of it at your local
community waste collection / recycling

~Lay the uncoiled connection cable so that it does not present a
tripping risk.
~Do not touch the sole plate or the steamer jets when the
appliance has heated up.
~Do not use distilled water only to fill the water container. This
could result in damage to the steam ironing system.
Warning and Safety instructions
9

~Always place the iron with the steam function switched off on the
iron rest so that the sole plate doesn't overhang any side.
Otherwise, there is a risk of burning.
~Danger of burning! The iron rest becomes hot if the iron is left to

Description of the appliance
13

The steam ironing system is fitted with
two castors.
These allow the appliance to be pulled
and pushed on flat surfaces while in the
folded up position.
^Hold the steam ironing system by the
handle and tip it slightly towards you
until the castors are free to move.
This makes it easier to transport across
carpet edging, door thresholds and
single steps.
Always transport up and down stairs
with two people. The ironing board
must be at the bottom when
transporting this way.
^Use the handles on the base of the
tower to transport horizontally.
,Do not transport the appliance
with the ironing board at the top.
Otherwise, the locking mechanism
on the tower may come loose and
the ironing board could cause injury
or damage to property.
Transporting
14

^Move the steam ironing system to a
desired location.
^Pull the release handle upwards
while holding the handle on the back
of the tower to keep it steady.
The locking mechanism of the tower will
be released and, at the same time, the
X-frame will unfold.
^Hold the release handle pulled out
and guide the ironing board until it
clicks into place at a position of
approx. 45°.
The board will hold independently in
this position.
^Pull the back of the ironing board
upwards with both hands until it
clicks into place at the horizontal
position.
^Ensure the ironing board is engaged
on both sides of the tower.
Otherwise the height of the ironing
board will not be able to be adjusted.
Assembling
15

The steam ironing system is now
assembled.
This is the lowest working position with
a height of 83 cm.
Assembling
16

Height adjustment
You can adjust the steam ironing
system to suit your individual height.
Make sure the mains connection cable
does not become jammed while doing
this.
Ensure the ironing board is locked
into place on both sides of the tower
(see 'Assembling').
Otherwise the height of the ironing
board will not be able to be
adjusted.
^Activate one of the dials located on
either side of the tower by turning it
towards qas far as it will go and
then hold it there.
^At the same time, use your other
hand to pull the handle on the back
of the tower upwards.
or
^Push the handle on the tower
downwards to lower the ironing
board.
Do not push down on the ironing
board itself.
^When the ironing board is at the
required height, release the dial and
it will return to the centre position.
We recommend adjusting the ironing
board to about the height of your hips
in order for you to be able to iron
comfortably.
The ironing board will remain at the set
position until adjusted again.
As an additional means of stabilising
the ironing boad at the required height,
it audibly clicks into place when any
load is placed on it.
The highest working position is approx.
102 cm.
Assembling
17

The steam ironing system is supplied
with a mains cable and moulded plug
ready for connection to an AC single
phase supply (220 - 240 V 50-60 Hz).
^Flip open the storage compartment at
the base of the tower.
^Completely remove the connection
cable from the storage compartment.
^Plug the connection cable into a wall
socket.
^Guide the connection cable through
the slot in the lid and then close the
storage compartment.
Take care when closing the lid that
the connection cable doesn't get
caught between the lid and the
housing or between the castor and
the tower.
^Open the lid to the storage
compartment at the top of the tower.
^Take out the iron and the steam hose
holder.
Connecting
18

^Close the storage compartment.
^Insert the steam hose holder into one
of the holes provided on either side
of the tower.
Note: Use the hole located on the side
on which you stand while ironing.
The operation of the steam ironing
system is suitable for both left and
right-handed people, as ironing can be
done on either side of the ironing
board.
^Open the steam connection socket
cover by pulling it upwards.
^Connect the iron by plugging the
steam hose into the steam
connection socket.
When doing this, pull back the sliding
switch on the plug of the steam hose
and release it after clicking into the
socket.
^Slot the rubber ring on the steam
hose into the steam hose holder.
Ensure the steam hose is secure
and not twisted.
Connecting
19

^To avoid damage or discolouration to
the ironing board cover, always place
the iron on the iron rest during
pauses in ironing.
Condensate may form on the iron rest.
However, this does not affect the
functioning of the steam ironing system.
The *button must be unlocked
before resting the iron.
,The iron must not be stood with
the pointed end facing upwards. It
may tip over and fall off the tower.
Always place the iron with the sole
plate resting against the iron rest.
,Danger of burning! The iron rest
becomes hot if the iron is left to rest
on it for a long time. Avoid any direct
contact with the iron rest while it is
hot. Only touch the handle at the
back of the iron rest.
