OPERATION
yRemove the protective cap.
yTurn the digital pen on with the ON/
OFF switch located on the top.
000
CD600
yImmerse into solution up to the
maximum immersion level.
12
yStir gently and wait until the
display stabilizes. The digital pen
compensates for the temperature
variance automatically.
yRead the value on the display. This
value has to be multiplied by a factor
of 10 for CD600 & CD601, and by a
factor of 100 for CD610 & CD611 as
shown in the upper left hand corner
of the LCD to give direct readings in
ppm (mg/L) or µS/cm (µmho/cm).

CALIBRATION
yThe calibration procedure is very
simple and fast.
yImmerse the tester up
to the maximum level
into the appropriate
optional Calibration
Solution (see
Specifications).
yAllow the reading to stabilize and
using a small screwdriver turn the
Calibration Trimmer to match the
solution value (normally to the value
at 25°C). E.g. calibrating a CD600
using M10032B as calibration
solution, turn the trimmer to read
“138” (multiplied by 10 = 1380 ppm).

138
yCalibration is now complete.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When the digital pen cannot be
switched on or the display fades,
pull out the battery compartment
and replace all four 1.5V batteries,
paying attention to their polarity.
Batteries should only be replaced in a
non‑hazardous area using the battery
types specified in this instruction
manual.

RECOMMENDATION
Before using this product, make sure that
it is entirely suitable for the environment
in which they are used. Operation of
these instruments in residential areas
could cause unacceptable interferences
to radio and T.V. equipment. The pins at
the end of the sensor are sensitive to
electrostatic discharges. Avoid touching
this metal band at all times. During
operation of instruments ESD wrist
straps should be worn to avoid possible
damage to the sensor by electrostatic
discharge. Any variation introduced
by the user to the supplied equipment
may degrade the instrument EMC
performance. To avoid electrical shock,
do not use the instrument when voltage
at the measurement surface exceed
24VAC or 60VDC. To avoid damages or
burns, do not perform any measurement
in microwave ovens.
