Please read this manual before operating the USBCAMDVR and keep
it handy.

not only is it a covert camera perfect for use in any office or business
setting, but also functions as a webcam.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR USBCAMDVR
OPERATING THE USBCAMDVR
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Allow the device to charge 2-3 hours before
using.
HOW TO CHARGE USBCAMDVR
1. Ensure the device is off and plug the device into a USB port on
your computer
2. While charging, a blue light will flash near the base of the USB
connector
3. When charging is complete the blue light will stop blinking and
stay on.
HOW TO TURN ON USBCAMDVR
1. Press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds until you get
a bright blue light.
2. The blue light will stay on and you are now in standby mode.
HOW TO RECORD VIDEO
1. Put the device into standby mode
2. Press and release the power button one time.
3. The blue light will start slowly blinking.
4. You are now recording video
5. To stop recording, press and release the power button one
more time. The blue light will become solid again and you
have saved your recording
NOTE: You may plug your device in to a USB port while it is
recording to extend the battery life. You MUST already be recording
prior to plugging in the device.
HOW TO TAKE A PICTURE
1. Put the device into standby mode
2. Quickly press and release the power button 2 times.

3. The blue light will blink off and on once and a photo will be
taken.
HOW TO SET THE TIME AND DATE STAMP
1. Plug the device into your PC using the USB cable
2. Turn on the device
3. Locate “Removable Disk” inside the (My) Computer folder
Go to Start > Computer > Removable Disk
4. Open the Removable Disk drive
NOTE: if “time.txt” already exists you delete that file and
create a new one.
5. Right click with your mouse
6. Scroll down to “New”
7. Click “Text Document”
8. Rename “New Text Document” as “time”and press “enter”
on your keyboard
9. Open the text document
10. Enter the current date in YYYY-MM-DD format
11. Enter the current time in military format
Example:
2016-09-14 13:16:51.
12. Save the text document (file > save). The contents must be in
the exact format as the bolded text above. (no quotes or other
characters)
13. Unplug the device from your PC and power it on.
NOTE: After you set the date and time, the device will consume
the file that was just created and replace it with a default file. If
setting the time stamp worked, your video will still show the
correct date and time even though the default file has an
incorrect date and time.
RETRIEVE THE FILES TO YOUR PC
1. Ensure the device is powered off and then plug the device into
your PC using the USB cable
2. Locate “Removable Disk” inside the (My) Computer folder
AutoPlay Removable Disk > Open folder to view files
Or…
Go to Start > Computer > Removable Disk

3. Open the Removable Disk drive
4. Open the folder containing the files
5. Double click the file you want to view
TROUBLESHOOTING
THE DEVICE WON’T TURN ON
Charge the device for at least 2-3 hours before the first use.
Make sure the charging cable is securely inserted into the
device and into the power source.
THE DEVICE ISN’T CHARGING
Use a different charging source or, if available, a different USB
cable.
MY COMPUTER DOESN’T RECOGNIZE THE DEVICE
Unplug the device from your PC and reboot the device.
Unplug the device from your PC and reboot your PC.
Try using a different USB slot on your PC.
Replace the USB cable.

USING THE UNIT AS A WEBCAM
1. Plug the device in using the USB cable.
2. Power on the device by pressing the power button.
3. A driver will be automatically installed called GENERAL-UVC
4. Slide the units cover to the left or right to expose the camera.
5. The webcam will display the name as GENERAL –UVC
NOTE: Driver installation can take up to five minutes.
