Key Descriptions
Provides volume control to the ringer, handset, and speaker.
Simultaneously press both keys to save volume level.
Scrolls through feature options.
Activates Hands free Mode (speakerphone).
Activates features
Temporarily turns off your microphone during a call
Activates the call history (call logs) menu.
Activates programmable features.
To program a key on your phone press the special key 397 then
press the key you would like to program and enter the feature code
or extension number.
Calls the last external number dialed. You cannot redial internal
numbers.
Places the current call on hold. Also can be used to move cursor
back.

Transfers the current call. Also can be used to move cursor
forward.
Flashes to notify you of waiting messages. To check messages,
press the VMS PU in the middle of the phone.
HANDLING CALLS
1. RECEIVING CALLS
Pick up the receiver.

To answer on Speakerphone, press the button.
2. MAKING EXTERNAL
CALLS (GETTING AN
OUTSIDE LINE)
Lift the handset and DIAL 8 (or a line key) + TEL. NUMBER.
-Or-
To make a call on Speakerphone, just DIAL 8 (or a line key) + TEL. NUMBER
3. INTERCOM CALLS
(INSIDE CALLS)
Pick up the receiver and dial the extension.
-Or-
To make a call on Speakerphone, just dial the extension.
Note: The phone you are calling “will ring” in a series of “double rings”.
4. TRANSFERS
TO TRANSFER TO ANOTHER EXTENSION
While connected to the caller, press the transfer key + the EXT. NUMBER.
When your party answers, announce the call, and then hang up.
To return to the caller, press the flashing Line key.
TO TRANSFER TO AN OUTSIDE TELEPHONE NUMBER
While connected to the caller, press the transfer key + DIAL 8 (or a line key) + the TEL. NUMBER.
Wait for an answer, announce the call, and then hang up.
To return to the caller, press the flashing Line key.
TO TRANSFER TO HOLD AT ANOTHER EXTENSION
While connected to the caller, press the transfer key + the EXT. NUMBER.
Wait for an answer, if desired, and press the HOLD key .
The call is now on hold at the other extension.
“PICKUP”or REVERSE TRANSFER (Pick Up a call that is ringing or holding at another extension)
Press 4 + the EXT. NUMBER where the call is ringing or holding.
TRANSFER TO A MAILBOX
While connected to the caller, press the VMS key+ the MAILBOX NUMBER.
Hang up.
TRANSFER A C0-WORKER INTO THE VOICE MAIL SYSTEM
With the co-worker on the line, press VMS.
Hang up.
Note: Your co-worker will need to press * to hear the subscriber prompts.

oPress + feature code 383
oPick the bin # (0-9) you would like to program
oEnter the “name” to be associated with the telephone number
oYou can move the cursor by using the and keys
oEnter the phone number: area code+ phone number
oPress # to confirm
To Dial your Station Speed Dial Numbers
oPress STA SPD button (or 382)
oPress the desired bin #(0-9)
oThe system will dial the telephone number
To Dial a System Speed Dial Number
oPress SYS SPD button
oEnter the desired bin #(000-999)
oPress # to confirm
oThe system will dial the telephone number

oPress DIRECTORY button (or 307)
oChoose directory type:
o1 = IC (Intercom)
2 = Outside (System Speed Dial)
3 = Feature
oEnter the first few letters of the name and press #
oYou may scroll using the volume bar to find the correct name
oPress #to call the number
4. FORWARD CALLS

To forward all calls to another extension or an outside number
Press the FORWARD button and enter the destination number (EXT # or DIAL 8 + TEL #)
To cancel forward
Press FORWARD then button

Press the FORWARD button and select a type on the menu. Enter the destination number.
(EXT # or DIAL 8 + TEL #)
To cancel forward
Press FORWARD then select FORWARD OFF from menu
Initial Voice Mail Set-up
1. From your telephone, press the VMS PU key
2. Voice Mail prompt will ask for your password –
ENTER YOUR EXTENSION NUMBER AND THEN THE POUND SIGN. If for some reason this does not
work, just enter the POUND sign.
3. At this time you may create your own password UP TO 12 DIGITS
4. Enter your new password followed by the POUND sign
5. Voice mail will repeat the password
6. Confirm password by pressing POUND
7. Voice Mail prompt will ask you to say your name for the company directory followed by the POUND
sign
8. SAY ONLY YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME followed by the POUND sign
9. Listen to your name by pressing 1(you may erase and re-record by pressing 3)
10. Press POUND to confirm your name
11. At this time voice mail will introduce you to a few basic features of the phone system.
12. After the introduction the prompt will tell you your VOICE MAIL IS FULLY SET UP. You
must now record your personal greeting.
13. Press 4for personal options
14. Press 1to record a personal greeting
15. Press 1again for the primary greeting or 2 for an alternate greeting

16. You will be prompted to record a greeting after the tone
Sample greeting: Hello, you’ve reached _______. Sorry I missed your call. I
am either out of the office or away from my desk. Please leave a message after
the tone or press 0 now to be returned to the receptionist. Thank you.
17. Press POUND to stop recording.
18. Press 1to listen or 3to erase and re-record
19. Press POUND before hanging up to confirm recording.
Retrieving & Leaving Voice Mail Messages
1) To retrieve voice mail messages in the office and from another telephone
Press VMS
Press * when you hear the greeting
Follow prompts
2) To retrieve voice mail outside the office through an auto-attendant:
Dial the main number
Press * when you hear the greeting (or have an employee transfer you to 2500 and then
press *)
Follow prompts
3) To transfer an outside caller directly into a specific voice mailbox:
Press the VMS key
Dial mailbox number
Hang up
4) To transfer an employee into voice mail from the outside:
Press the VMS key
Hang up
Note: Your co-worker will need to press * to hear the subscriber prompts.
5) To leave a voice mail message without ringing the person’s extension:
Press VMS key
Dial the person’s mailbox (if sending a broadcast message to all employees, enter 1000 for
the extension number)
Press # to bypass the person’s greeting
Speak your message
Hang up or press # for additional options
