1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Der MA-500 dient als Phantomspeiseadapter für
Elektret-Mikrofone CM-... und CX-... von JTS, die über
einen 4-poligen Mini-XLR-Anschluss verfügen. Das
Mikrofon lässt sich über den Adapter an ein Audiogerät
anschließen, das am entsprechenden Mikrofoneingang
eine Phantomspeisung bereitstellt.
Der Adapter ist mit einem 10-dB-Abschwächer, zwei
schaltbaren Low-Cut-Filtern und einem Gürtelclip aus
Metall ausgestattet.
2 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch
Der Adapter entspricht allen relevanten Richtlinien der
EU (Kennzeichnung ).
GDer Adapter ist nur zur Verwendung im Innenbereich
geeignet. Schützen Sie ihn vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
GVerwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.
GWird der Adapter zweckentfremdet, falsch ange-
schlossen oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann kei-
ne Haftung für daraus resultierende Sach- oder Per-
sonenschäden und keine Garantie für den Adapter
übernommen werden.
3 Anschluss und Einstellungen
Das Mikrofon an den Mini-XLR-Eingang des Adapters
anschließen und den XLR-Ausgang des Adapters an
einen symmetrischen XLR-Mikrofoneingang des Audio-
geräts (z. B. Mischpult, Verstärker). Der Mikrofonein-
gang muss eine Phantomspeisung (12 – 48 V ) bereit-
stellen.
Pegel- und Klang-Anpassungen sind über zwei Schalter
möglich, die sich mithilfe eines dünnen Gegenstands
(z. B. Schraubendreher) einstellen lassen:
1) Um bei zu hohem Schallpegel die Pegelabschwä-
chung einzuschalten, den 2-Positionen-Schalter (1)
in die untere Position „
- 10“ schieben.
2) Zur Unterdrückung tiefer Frequenzen (z. B. Tritt-
schall) kann mit dem 3-Positionen-Schalter (2) ein
Low-Cut-Filter aktiviert werden. Um Frequenzen
unter 100 Hz abzusenken, den Schalter in die mittle-
re Position schieben und um Frequenzen unter
400 Hz abzusenken, in die untere Position . Steht
der Schalter in der oberen Position , bleibt der
Frequenzgang unbeeinflusst.
Änderungen vorbehalten.
Soll der Adapter endgültig aus dem Betrieb
genommen werden, übergeben Sie ihn zur
umweltgerechten Entsorgung einem örtli-
chen Recyclingbetrieb.

Phantom power adapter
Phantomspeiseadapter
Please read these operating instruc-
tions carefully prior to operating the unit
and keep them for later reference.
1 Applications
The MA-500 serves as a phantom power adapter for the
electret microphones CM-… and CX-… from JTS which
are provided with a 4-pole miniature XLR connection.
The microphone can be connected via the adapter to an
audio unit which provides a phantom power at the cor-
responding microphone input.
The adapter is equipped with a 10 dB attenuator, two
switchable low cut filters and a metal girdle clip.
2 Important Notes
The adapter corresponds to all relevant directives of the
EU (marking ).
GThe adapter is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against humidity and heat (admissible ambient tem-
perature range 0 – 40 °C).
GFor cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use
water or chemicals.
GNo guarantee claims for the adapter and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material dam-
age will be accepted if the adapter is used for other
purposes than originally intended, if it is not correctly
connected or not repaired in an expert way.
3 Connection and Adjustments
Connect the microphone to the miniature XLR input of
the adapter and the XLR output of the adapter to a bal-
anced XLR microphone input of the audio unit (e. g.
mixer, amplifier). The microphone input must provide a
phantom power (12 – 48 V ).
The level and sound can be matched via two switches
which can be adjusted via a thin object (e. g. screw-
driver):
1) To switch on the level attenuation if the sound level is
too high, set the 2-position switch (1) to the lower po-
sition “
- 10”.
2) To suppress low frequencies (e. g. subsonic sound),
it is possible to activate a low cut filter with the 3-po-
sition switch (2). To attenuate frequencies below
100 Hz, set the switch to mid-position and to at-
tenuate frequencies below 400 Hz, to the lower posi-
tion . If the switch is in the upper position , the
frequency response will not be affected.
Subject to technical modification.
If the adapter is to be put out of operation de-
finitively, take it to a local recycling plant for
a disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.

1 Possibilités dʼutilisation
Le MA-500 sert dʼadaptateur dʼalimentation fantôme
pour microphones électret CM-... et CX-... de JTS dis-
posant dʼune connexion mini XLR 4 pôles. On peut re-
lier le microphone via lʼadaptateur à un appareil audio
qui fournit une alimentation fantôme à lʼentrée micro
correspondante.
Lʼadaptateur est doté dʼun atténuateur 10 dB, de
deux filtres Low Cut et dʼun clip de ceinture métallique.
2 Conseils importants dʼutilisation
Lʼadaptateur répond à toutes les directives nécessaires
de lʼUnion européenne (symbole ).
GLʼadaptateur nʼest conçu que pour une utilisation en
intérieur. Protégez-le de lʼhumidité et de la chaleur
(température ambiante admissible 0 – 40 °C).
GPour le nettoyage, utilisez uniquement un chiffon sec
et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques ou
dʼeau.
GNous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de dom-
mages matériels ou corporels résultants si lʼadapta-
teur est utilisé dans un but autre que celui pour lequel
il a été conçu, sʼil nʼest pas correctement branché ou
nʼest pas réparé par une personne habilité ; en outre,
la garantie deviendrait caduque.
3 Branchement et réglages
Reliez le microphone à lʼentrée mini XLR de lʼadapta-
teur et reliez la sortie XLR de lʼadaptateur à une entrée
micro XLR symétrique de lʼappareil audio (par exemple
table de mixage, amplificateur). Lʼentrée micro doit four-
nir une alimentation fantôme (12 – 48 V ).
Deux interrupteurs réglables avec un objet fin (par
exemple tournevis) permettent dʼadapter niveau et to-
nalité :
1) Pour activer lʼatténuation de niveau en cas de niveau
sonore trop élevé, poussez lʼinterrupteur 2 positions
(1) sur la position inférieure “
- 10”.
2) Pour éliminer les fréquences basses (par exemple
bruits de pas), on peut activer un filtre Low Cut avec
lʼinterrupteur 3 positions (2). Pour diminuer les fré-
quences sous 100 Hz, mettez lʼinterrupteur sur la po-
sition moyenne et pour diminuer des fréquences
sous 400 Hz, mettez-le sur la position inférieure .
Si lʼinterrupteur est sur la position supérieure , la
bande passante nʼest pas influencée.
Tout droit de modification réservé.
Lorsque lʼadaptateur est définitivement retiré
du service, vous devez le déposer dans une
usine de recyclage adaptée pour contribuer
à son élimination non polluante.

1 Aplicaciones
El MA-500 sirve como adaptador de alimentación phan-
tom para los micrófonos electret CM-… y CX-… de JTS
que tienen una conexión mini XLR de 4 polos. El mi-
crófono puede conectarse mediante el adaptador a un
aparato de audio que ofrezca alimentación phantom en
la entrada de micrófono correspondiente.
El adaptador está equipado con un atenuador de
10 dB, 2 filtros pasa alto conmutables y una pinza metá-
lica.
2 Notas Importantes
El adaptador cumple con todas las directivas relevan-
tes de la UE (símbolo ).
GEl adaptador está adecuado para su utilización sólo
en interiores. Protéjalo de la humedad y del calor
(temperatura ambiente admisible: 0 – 40 ºC).
GUtilice sólo un paño suave y seco para la limpieza, no
utilice nunca ni productos químicos ni agua.
GNo podrá reclamarse garantía o responsabilidad
alguna por cualquier daño personal o material resul-
tante si el adaptador se utiliza para otros fines dife-
rentes a los originalmente concebidos, si no se
conecta correctamente o no se repara por expertos.
3 Conexión y Ajustes
Conecte el micrófono a la entrada mini XLR del adap-
tador y la salida XLR del adaptador a una entrada de
micrófono XLR simétrica del aparato de audio (p. ej.
mezclador o amplificador). La entrada de micrófono ha
de tener una alimentación phantom (12 – 48 V ).
El nivel y el sonido puede igualarse mediante dos inter-
ruptores que se pueden ajustar con un objeto fino (p. ej.
un destornillador):
1) Para conectar la atenuación de nivel si el nivel del
sonido es demasiado alto, ponga el interruptor de
2 posiciones (1) en la posición inferior “
- 10”.
2) Para suprimir las frecuencias bajas (p. ej. el sonido
subsónico), se puede activar un filtro pasa alto con el
interruptor de 3 posiciones (2). Para atenuar fre-
cuencias por debajo de los 100 Hz, ponga el inter-
ruptor en la posición intermedia y para atenuar
frecuencias por debajo de 400 Hz, en la posición
inferior . Si el interruptor está en la posición su-
perior , la frecuencia de respuesta no se verá
afectada.
Sujeto a modificaciones técnicas.
Si va a poner el adaptador fuera de servicio
definitivamente, llévelo a la planta de recicla-
je de la zona para que su eliminación no sea
perjudicial para el medio ambiente.
