In response to the unprecedented global supply chain backlog and to provide our customers with product where
possible, Napoleon will begin oering an electronic ignion alternave on the B36, B42, GX36 and GX42 models
for sale in all regions. While this change does not aect the overall look or performance of the replace, it is
something you need to be aware of from a sales and service standpoint.
We want to ensure your team is aware of some dierences between the SIT electronic ignion system used in the
B36NTRE-1, B42NTRE, GX36NTRE and GX42NTRE and the new Dexen alternate system that we are introducing
in the B36NTREA-1, B42NTREA, GX36NTREA and GX42NTREA. Knowing these dierences will be key to providing
clear communicaon with your customers.
Your sales team will need to know that the EFCN/EFCP remote opon is not compable with the B36NTREA-1,
B42NTREA, GX36NTREA and GX42NTREA models and that an an-condensaon switch (ACS) is not available.
If a remote opon is required, the F45/F60 will need to be purchased. You will also need to be aware that the
following opons for these models are dierent and ask them to refer to the list below.

The Dexen control system is powered by a 3V AC adaptor/transformer and has a baery backup that uses 2 D cell
baeries. The pilot on the Ascent™ models remains the same, however new to the system is an alternate Dexen
H3V gas valve. For those familiar with the original Dexen 6003 system we used previously, the troubleshoong
remains mostly the same with some minor dierences. A troubleshoong manual will be available at the end
of September. Dexen H3V wiring diagram shown below for your convenience. Please also refer to the product
installaon manual for the replacement part numbers.
Orders will be automacally switched out to the B36NTREA-1, B42NTREA, GX36NTREA and GX42NTREA. You
will receive a new order conrmaon as soon as completed. Should you have any quesons please contact your
