Nokiarequiresthatservicepoints have sufficientESD protection(againststatic
electricity)when servicingthe phone.
Anyproductofwhich thecoversare removedmustbe handledwithESD
protection.The SIM cardcan be replaced withoutESDprotectioniftheproduct

Note:Anewbattery!sfull performanceis achieved onlyafter twoorthree completechargeand
discharge cycles!Thebatterycanbechargedanddischargedhundredsoftimes butitwill
eventuallywear out.
When the operatingtime(talk-timeandstandbytime)is noticeablyshorterthannormal,itis
time to buya newbattery. Use onlybatteries approvedbythephonemanufacturerand
recharge the batteryonlywiththechargers approvedbythe manufacturer.
Unplugthe chargerwhen notinuse.Donot leave the batteryconnectedto achargerforlonger
thana week,sinceoverchargingmayshortenits lifetime.
Ifleftunusedafullychargedbatterywill discharge itselfovertime Temperature extremescan
affectthe abilityofyourbatteryto charge.
For goodoperationtimeswith Ni-Cd/NiMh batteries,dischargethebatteryfrom timetotimeby
leavingthe productswitchedonuntilitturnsitselfoff(or byusingthe batterydischargefacility
ofanyapprovedaccessoryavailableforthe product).
Donotattempt to dischargethe batteryby anyothermeans Use the batteryonlyfor its
intended purpose.
Neveruse anycharger orbatterywhich is damaged.
Donotshort-circuitthe battery.Accidentalshort-circuitingcanoccurwhena metallicobject
(coin,cliporpen)causes directconnectionofthe+ and-terminals ofthe battery(metalstrips
on the battery)for examplewhenyoucarryasparebatteryinyourpocketor purse.
Shortcircuitingthe terminals maydamage thebatteryortheconnectingobject.
Leavingthebatteryinhot orcoldplaces,such as ina closedcarinsummerorwinterconditions,
will reducethecapacityandlifetimeofthebattery. Always tryto keepthe batterybetween15°C
and25°C(59°Fand77°F).
Aphonewith ahot orcoldbatterymaytemporarilynotwork, even when the batteryis fully
charged.Batteries!performance isparticularlylimitedintemperatureswell belowfreezing.
Donotdispose batteries in a fire!Dispose of batteries accordingtolocalregulations(e.g.
recycling).
Donotdispose as household waste.
