Fit the Adjustable height castors to the main
chassis, slide the tube to the desired height, and
check that all legs are equal in height. Secure
with the E-clips provided, making sure each clip is
fully connected.
Please note; the height should be set so the client
feels comfortable, but ensure there is adequate
clearance if being used over a toilet

Place the chassis on a level floor.
3–At the rear of the commode there are two
black threaded hand wheels. Undo the hand
wheels so that the screw thread is clear from the

detachable back into the chassis tubes and
secure by turning the hand wheels until you feel
the resistance and the screw thread is biting
against the leg of the backrest.
Caution: DO NOT over tighten the hand
wheels. Do not use tools as it is only
necessary for the back to be secured finger
tight.
4 - Place the two detachable arms into the
locating holes on either side of the seat moulding,

Safety precautions:
·Do not exceed Maximum User Weight.
·Always ensure the product is suitable for
your requirements; if in doubt, check with a
health professional.
·Always ensure all castors have the brake
applied and are in a forward aspect (not
trailing) and the footrests are up when sitting
onto or rising from the commode to reduce
the risk of tipping. Note: Footrests should
only be used to support the feet and should
not be used to stand on when entering or
leaving the commode.
·Check that no parts of the body are outside
the commode if passing through doorways.
·Take particular care when using the product
on damp surfaces.
·Before every operation inspect the product to
ensure it is fit for purpose; see Maintenance.
·Damaged, worn or missing components must
be replaced before further use by an
approved repairer.
Commode Bucket Cleaning
Note: protective gloves are recommended when
emptying the commode potty.
To remove the commode bucket, simply slide
the bucket out from the chrome runners at the
rear of the commode. Cover the top of the
bucket to avoid splashing. Carefully dispose of
the contents into a proper sluice or toilet.
Caution: Never empty contents into an open
drain, sink or basin. This could cause a
serious health risk.
Clean out the residue with a suitable disinfectant
and refit to the commode.
It is recommended that the seat is also wiped
with a disinfectant wipe or mild solution after
each use. Also wipe down the frame if any
spillages are apparent using a mild disinfectant
solution/wipe.
Note: NRS Healthcare offers a range of
protective
gloves and cleaning solutions to assist in the
effective decontamination of the potty and
commode.

Commode cleaning
Simply hose down/wash down or pressure wash with
a mild detergent solution, ensuring all detergents are
washed off thoroughly.
Wipe the commode thoroughly dry, paying particular
attention to all joints and abutments. Do not use an
abrasive cloth for drying
Caution: you must not use abrasive cleaners or
cleaners that attack chromium plating as this will
affect the integrity of the chromium plated
surface.
It is recommended that all joints, abutments and
castors are then sprayed with a water dispersing
agent such as WD40; this will give your commode
greater longevity and avoid premature rusting.
Maintenance
Check all components while in service on a regular
basis, once a week is recommended (and, following
decontamination, prior to reissue).
Ensure that all components are secure.
This includes:
The tightness of nuts and hand wheels.
The tightness, condition and operation of castors
including brake function.
Check all E-clips are securely engaged.
Check the condition and operation of footrests.
Check upholstery and moulding for splits.
Tighten and/or replace as necessary before re-use.
If in any doubt, please do not use or issue, but
contact your supplier for service support.
