USER INSTRUCTIONS
STANDARD FOLDING SUPPORT RAIL WITH LEG

General Safety Warning
Please make sure that you read and follow
these instructions carefully. Keep these
instructions in a safe place for future reference.

1. INTENDED USE
The Standard Support Rail with leg is a high quality wall mounted steel rail which provides a stable support
to assist the user raise and lower themselves for toileting. The rail can be raised back to the wall when not
in use or when transferring from the side. It is not intended for use in a shower.
2. SAFETY
WARNING: The maximum user weight must not be
more than 100Kg (16st).
This device should only be secured to a solid wall of
brick or concrete construction and be installed by a
suitably qualified person.
Test the rail after installation to ensure that it is
securely fixed to the wall.
Periodically check the stability and rigidity of the
product and, where applicable, that all screws are
tightened and in good condition.
3. UNPACKING
Remove the packaging and check all parts carefully.
Contact your supplier immediately if parts are
missing or damaged and do not try and assemble.
4. ASSEMBLY/INSTALLATION
1. Ensure that when correctly located, the rail can
be raised and lowered without interference from
other fixtures and furniture and that transfer can
be carried out safely.
2. Using the pin clip, adjust the leg length to the
required position/ rail height.
3. Position the Wall Plate against the wall at the
height required (with leg square to and in contact
with the floor) and mark the position of the 6
holes.
4. Drill 6 holes, as appropriate for the fixings/screws
being used. Insert wall plugs and gently tap them
home.
5. Place Wall plate against wall and locate suitable
screws into the holes. Ensure screws are screwed
firmly to the wall.
6. When fitted, check the product is securely fixed
to the wall and that the arm can be raised and
lowered without interference, and that the leg
is in contact with the floor when lowered. Also
check that the friction lock is effective and that
the support rail will hold itself at any angle during
movement (i.e. it does not drop down on it’s own).
5. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS.
Clean regularly using a general purpose, neutral
detergent and warm water.
Please check the suitability of the cleaning products
before use. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cloths
as these could permanently damage the surface and
invalidate any warranty.
DO NOT use solvents to clean the product (if
painted).
To disinfect, wipe with a dilute bleach solution, and
rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
Allow product to fully dry prior to use/storage.
