Vor der ersten Benutzung machen Sie sich mit Hilfe dieser Gebrauchsanwei-
sung mit dem Gerät vertraut. Beachten Sie unbedingt die Sicherheitshinweise
für den richtigen und sicheren Gebrauch.
Aus Sicherheitsgründen dürfen Kinder und Jugendliche unter 16 Jahren, sowie
Personen, die mögliche Gefahren nicht erkennen können oder die nicht mit die-
ser Gebrauchsanweisung vertraut sind, dieses Gerät nicht benutzen!
Bitte bewahren Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig auf! Bei Besitzer-
wechsel geben Sie bitte die Gebrauchsanweisung mit dem Produkt weiter.
1. Symbole
Die auf dem Gerät und in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung verwendeten Symbole
haben folgende Bedeutung:

Leuchte ist geeignet zur direkten Befestigung auf normal entflammbaren
Befestigungsflächen.
Schutz gegen das Berühren von gefährlichen Teilen mit dem Finger und Schutz
gegen das Eindringen von Spritzwasser.
Achtung! Gefährliche UVC - Strahlen!
Vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung schützen!
Bei zu erwartenden Frost müssen Sie den Bitron deinstallieren.
Der Bitron darf maximal mit einem Druck von 0,5 bar betrieben werden!

2. Auspacken
Melden Sie äußere Schäden sofort bei Ihrem Händler.
3. Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die Baureihe Bitron ist zur Reinigung von normalem Teichwasser von +4°C bis
+35°C geeignet. Durch die Bestrahlung des Teichwassers mit kurzwelligem
UVC- Licht erfolgt eine Abtötung von Keimen und Bakterien sowie eine
Verklumpung von Algen.
In Kombination mit den OASE-Teichfiltern und den OASE-Pumpen wird eine
optimale Reinigung von Teichen erzielt.

4. Sicherheitshinweise
-Achtung: Gefährliche ultraviolette Strahlung. Die Strahlung der UVC-
Lampe ist gefährlich für Augen und Haut! Betreiben Sie die Lampe des
Bitron niemals außerhalb des Gehäuses! Betreiben Sie den Bitron niemals
ohne Reinigungsrotor, da dieser ein Sichtschutz vor der UVC-Strahlung ist.
-Bei Fragen und Problemen wenden Sie sich zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit an
einen Elektrofachmann!
-Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals unter Wasser!
-Ziehen Sie immer den Netzstecker aller im Wasser befindlichen Geräte und
von diesem Gerät, bevor Sie Arbeiten am Gerät durchführen!
-Betreiben Sie den Bitron nur an einer Steckdose mit Schutzkontakt. Diese
muß nach den jeweils gültigen nationalen Vorschriften (VDE, EN ...) errichte-
tet sein. Stellen Sie sicher, daß der Schutzleiter durchgehend bis zum Bitron
geführt wird.
-Verwenden Sie niemals Installationen, Adapter, Verlängerungs- oder An-
schlußleitungen ohne Schutzkontakt!
-Netzanschlussleitungen dürfen keinen geringeren Querschnitt haben als
Gummischlauchleitungen mit dem Kurzzeichen HO5 RNF. Verlängerungs-
leitungen müssen der DIN VDE 0620 genügen.
-Stellen Sie sicher, daß der Bitron über eine Fehlerstrom - Schutzein-
richtung (FI, bzw. RCD) mit einem Bemessungs -Fehlerstrom von nicht mehr
als 30mA versorgt ist.
-Elektrische Installationen an Gartenteichen und Schwimmbecken müssen den
internationalen und nationalen Errichterbestimmungen entsprechen.
-Vergleichen Sie die elektrischen Daten des Versorgungsnetzes mit denen
des Typenschildes. Diese Daten müssen übereinstimmen.
-Positionieren Sie den Bitron überflutungssicher!
-Betreiben Sie den Bitron nicht, wenn sich Personen im Wasser aufhalten!
-Tragen bzw. ziehen Sie den Bitron nicht an der Anschlußleitung!
-Halten Sie die Anschlußstellen (Netzstecker) trocken!
-Betreiben Sie den Bitron nicht, wenn Anschlußleitung, Schauglas oder Ge-
häuse defekt erscheinen!
-Fördern Sie niemals andere Flüssigkeiten als Wasser!
-Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse des Bitrons oder deren zugehörigen Teile,
wenn nicht ausdrücklich in der Gebrauchsanweisung darauf hingewiesen wird.
-Betreiben Sie den Bitron niemals ohne Wasserdurchfluß!
-Der Abstand von Bitron zum Teich muß mindestens 2 m betragen.
-Achtung! Betreiben Sie den Bitron niemals mit mehr als 0,5 bar (5 mWS)
Wasserdruck!
-Achtung: Beim Bitron schaltet der eingebaute Temperaturwächter die Leuch-
te bei Überhitzung automatisch aus. Nach Abkühlung wird der Bitron automa-
tisch wieder eingeschaltet.
-Verlegen Sie die Schläuche und die Anschlussleitung so, dass sie kein Hin-
dernis darstellen und Beschädigungen ausgeschlossen sind!
-Bei zu erwartenden Frost müssen Sie den Bitron mit integriertem UVC
deinstallieren.
-Stellen Sie den Bitron so auf, dass er nicht der direkten Sonneneinstrahlung
ausgesetzt ist.
-Bitte beachten Sie die örtlichen Lärmschutzbestimmungen.

5. Installation
-Lesen und beachten Sie unbedingt die Sicherheitshinweise vor der Instal-
lation!
-Der Bitron 9C/11C ist bis zu einer Pumpenleistung von 5.500 l/h geeignet. Der
Wasserdurchfluß an der UVC-Lampe sollte beim Bitron 9C 1500 l/h und beim
Bitron 11C 1700 l/h nicht überschreiten. Siehe Bypasseinstellung.
-Das Filtersystem bitte nach folgender Tabelle auswählen (Auswahlkriterien:
Teichgröße und ohne/mit Fischbesatz).
5.1 Aufstellung vom Bitron
5.1.1 Einzelaufstellung mit Schläuchen
-Den Bitron waggerecht auf einer geeigneten Unterlage mit dem Standfüßen
nach unten befestigen.

-Verwenden Sie zur Befestigung Blechschlauben Ø 3,9 mm.
-Die Schraube darf max. 22 mm in den Gehäusefüßen eingeschraubt werden.
-Bei Verwendung der Aquamax 2000 kann der Bypass über die Verschluss-
kappe (1d) geschlossen werden. Für die Aquamax 3500 und 5500 sollte ein
zweiter Schlauch für den Bypass angebracht werden.
-Stellen Sie den Bypass lauf 5.2 ein und schließen Sie die Schläuche laut 5.3
an.

5.1.2 Anschluss am Biotec 4
-Auf den Gewindestutzen oben Mutter G1 ½" (1f) und Einlaufdüse (18a) (Liefe-
rumfang Biotec 4) aufschrauben.
-Einlaufdüse (18a) nach unten ausrichten und mit Mutter (1f) kontern.
-Luftschlauch (18b) (Lieferumfang Biotec 4) auf die Einlaufdüse Biotec (18a)
aufsetzen.
-Große Flachdichtung (18c) (Lieferumfang Biotec 4) auf den Gehäusestutzen
Bitron auffädeln.
-Deckel vom Biotec4 abheben.
-Den Bitron in das Filtergehäuse einsetzen.
-Mutter G1 ½" (1f) auf den Gewindestutzen aufschrauben.
-Stellen Sie den Bypass laut 5.2 ein und schließen Sie den Schlauch laut 5.3 an

5.2 Bypasseinstellungen
Die Wasserdurchlaufmenge kann durch das Bypasssystem eingestellt werden,
um eine optimale Behandlung des Wassers zu erreichen.
- Stellen Sie den Drosseldrehgriff (a) auf die entsprechende Pumpe ein.
5.3 Schlauchanschluss
-Betreiben Sie den Bitron nur mit Druckschläuche, welche mindestens für 0,5
bar bzw. den maximalen Druck der Pumpe zugelassen sind.
Schlauchempfehlung: Aquamax 2000 1 Zoll
Aquamax 3500 1 ¼ Zoll
Aquamax 5500 1 ¼ - 1 ½ Zoll
-Um Druckverluste zu vermeiden, sägen Sie die Stufenschlauchtüllen an den
entsprechenden Stellen für die jeweiligen Schläuche ab.
-Vermeiden Sie unnötige Winkel und Bögen, die zu weiteren Druckverlusten
führen.
-Um die Funktion vom Reinigungsrotor (3) zu gewährleisten, muss bei gerin-
gen Wasserdurchfluss die Einlaufdüse UVC 9C/11C (1e) im Zulaufstutzen
eingesetzt werden. Bei der Aquamax 2000 und 3500 sollte die Einlaufdüse
UVC 9C/11C (1e) immer eingesetzt werden.


-Schieben Sie die Überwurfmuter (1a) über die Stufenschlauchtülle (1b). Den
Schlauch aufschieben und mit einer Schlauchklemme sichern (im Beipack ist
nur je eine Schlauchklemme ¾", 1", 1¼" und 1½" für den Wasserzulauf).
Die Flachdichtung (1c) in die Überwurfmutter (1a) einlegen und fest auf den
Gewindestutzen aufschrauben.
6. Inbetriebnahme
-Schalten Sie zunächst die Pumpe ein und warten Sie, bis der Bitron mit
Wasser gefüllt ist.
-Kontrollieren Sie sämtliche Anschlüsse auf Dichtigkeit. Bessern Sie notfalls
die undichten Stellen nach.
-Erst jetzt schalten Sie den Bitron ein.
-Kontrollieren Sie bei der Einzelaufstellung die Funktion der UVC-Lampe und
vom Reinigungsrotor am Schauglas (a). Bei blauem drehenden Lichtschimmer
sind beide Funktionen in Ordnung.
-Beim Einbau im Biotec 4 kontrollieren Sie die Funktion der UVC-Lampe am
Sichtstab (b). Die Funktion vom Reinigungsrotor kann man hören bzw. durch
Anfassen des Gehäuses fühlen.
7. Wartung
Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Bitron niemals ohne Wasserdurchfluß betrieben
wird! Halten Sie immer den Wasserablauf des Bitron frei! Entfernen Sie regelmä-
ßig grobe Verunreinigungen in den Ablaufschläuchen/Einlaufschläuchen des
Bitron! Kontrollieren Sie die Funktion der UVC-Lampe und von Reinigungsrotor
am Schauglas laut 6. Inbetriebnahme.
8. Reinigung
8.1 Automatische Reinigung
Der Reinigungsrotor (3) wird kontinuierlich durch den Wasserstrom um die
Quarzglasröhre geführt. Somit wird unmittelbar das Absetzen von Schmutz und
Schleim verhindert.
Das Ergebnis ist eine immer klare Quarzglasröhre, welche die 100% Wirksamkeit
der Strahlung gewährleistet.
-Der Bitron muss permanent betrieben werden.
-Bei Interwallbetrieb kann es zu hartnäckigen Verschmutzungen und Kalkab-
lagerungen kommen, welche durch eine manuelle Reinigung entfernt werden
müssen.
-Durch die Rotationsbewegung vom Rotor kommt es zu einer Geräusch-
entwicklung, welche mit steigendem Wasserdurchfluss zunimmt. Entfernen
Sie gegebenenfalls die Einlaufdüse UVC 9C/11C (1e).

8.2 Manuelle Reinigung
(Abb. 1, siehe Klappseite)
1. Pumpe und Bitron abschalten und gegen unbeabsichtigtes Einschalten sichern.
2. Gehäuseschrauben (14) von Hand lösen, UVC-Deckel kpl. (12/13) abziehen.
3. Gehäuse (2), UVC-Deckel kpl. (12/13) mit Quarzglasrohr (7), O-Ring (11) und
Reinigungsrotor (3) gründlich reinigen.
4. Der O-Ring (11) ist bei Beschädigung zu ersetzen.
5. Den O-Ring (11) auf den UVC-Deckel kpl. (12/13) auffädeln.
6. Den UVC-Deckel kpl. (12/13) mit O-Ring (11) und Reinigungsrotor (3) in das
Gehäuse (2) eindrücken.
7. Die Gehäuseschrauben (14) von Hand abwechselnd wieder in das Gehäuse
(2) einschrauben.
8. Bitron wieder in Betrieb nehmen (siehe 6. Inbetriebnahme).
8.3 Schauglas reinigen
1. Pumpe und Bitron abschalten und gegen unbeabsichtigtes Einschalten sichern.
2. Muffe G1 (17) abdrehen.
3. Muffe G1 (17), Schauglas (16) und Flachdichtung (15) gründlich reinigen.
4. Schauglas (16) und Flachdichtung (15) in Muffe (17) einlegen.
5. Muffe aufdrehen.
6. Bitron wieder in Betrieb nehmen (siehe 6. Inbetriebnahme)
9. Lampenwechsel
(Abb. 1, siehe Klappseite)
1. Pumpe und Bitron abschalten und gegen unbeabsichtigtes Einschalten sichern.
2. Gehäuseschrauben (14) von Hand lösen, UVC-Deckel kpl. (12/13) abziehen.
3. Den Reinigungsrotor (3) abziehen.
4. Die Verbindungsschrauben (4) vom Dichtflansch (5) mit einem Kreutzschlitz-
Schraubendreher lösen.
5. Das Quarzglasrohr (7) mit dem O-Ring (6) vorsichtig aus dem UVC-Deckel kpl.
(12/13) ziehen.
6. UVC-Lampe (9/10) heraus ziehen und ersetzen. Hinweis: Aufgrund eines
eingebauten Sicherheitsschalters leuchtet die UVC-Lampe erst nach der voll-
ständigen Montage vom Bitron.
7. Der O-Ring (8) an der UVC-Lampe (9/10) dient nur als Transportsicherung
(kann somit entfallen).
8. Den O-Ring (6) vom Quarzglas (7) abstreifen.
9. Gehäuse (2), Reinigungsrotor (3), Dichtflansch (5), O-Ring (6 und 11) und
Quarzglasrohr (7) gründlich reinigen.
10.Die O-Ringe (6 und 11) sind bei Beschädigungen zu ersetzen.
11. Die O-Ringe (6 und 11) können zur leichteren Montage mit einem säurefreien
Fett eingefettet werden.
12.Das Quarzglasrohr (7) mit dem O-Ring (6) in den UVC-Deckel kpl. (12/13)
einsetzen.
13.Der O-Ring (6) muß in den Spalt zwischen UVC-Deckel kpl. (12/13) und
Quarzglasrohr (7) eingedrückt werden.
14.Den Dichtflansch (5) wieder mit den Verbindungsschrauben (4) montieren.
15.Den O-Ring (11) auf den UVC-Deckel kpl. (12/13) auffädeln.
16.Den UVC-Deckel kpl. (12/13) mit O-Ring (11) und Reinigungsrotor (3) in das
Gehäuse (2) eindrücken.
17.Die Gehäuseschrauben (14) von Hand abwechselnd wieder in das Gehäuse
(2) einschrauben.
18.Bitron wieder in Betrieb nehmen (siehe 6. Inbetriebnahme).

13. Störungsmaßnahmen
Zeigt sich 4 Wochen nach Einschalten des Bitron keine Verbesserung der Wasser-
qualität, ergreifen Sie folgende Maßnahmen:
12. Entsorgungshinweis
Entsorgen Sie ihren Bitron bitte umweltfreundlich. Informieren Sie sich bei Ihrer
örtlichen Müllabfuhr über die Entsorgung.
UVC-Lampen dürfen nicht in den Hausmüll! Entfernen Sie die UVC-Lampe aus
dem Gerät und geben Sie die UVC-Lampe bei einer Sammelstelle zurück, damit sie
einer umweltgerechten Entsorgung zugeführt werden kann.
10. Lagerung/Überwinterung
Bei zu erwartendem Frost müssen Sie das Gerät deinstallieren! Führen Sie eine
gründliche Reinigung durch (siehe 8. Reinigung). Überprüfen Sie den Bitron auf
Beschädigungen. Lagern Sie den Bitron trocken und frostfrei. Der Aufbewahrungs-
ort muss für Kinder unzugänglich sein.
11. Reparatur / Kabeltausch
Zur Reparatur / Kabeltausch schicken Sie den defekten Bitron bitte direkt an den
Lieferanten/Hersteller.

placing in service. You must observe the safety instructions for correct and safe
use.
For safety reasons, children and young people under 16 years of age, as well

these operating instructions may not use this device.

2. Unpacking
Notify your dealer immediately if there are external damages.
3. Prescribed use
The Bitron series is suitable for cleaning normal pond water from +4°C to +35°C.
Irradiating the pond water with short-wave UVC light, kills off germs and bacteria
and flocculates algae.
Optimal pond cleaning is achieved in combination with OASE pond filters and
OASE pumps.

4. Safety instructions
-Note: Dangerous ultraviolet radiation. The radiation from the UVC
bulb is harmful to eyes and skin! Never operate the Bitron bulb outside
of the housing! Never operate the Bitron without the cleaning rotor as this
offers eyesight protection from UVC radiation.
-For your own safety, please contact an electrical specialist for questions and
problems.
-Never immerse the device in water!
-Always unplug the power cords of all devices located in the water, and
unplug the power cord from this device before executing work on this device
-Only operate the Bitron from an electrical outlet with contact protection. This
must have been set up in accordance with the respective national directives
(VDE, EN…). Insure that the PE conductor extends all the way to the Bitron.
-Never use installations, adapters, extension or cords or connecting lines
without PE contact.
-Connecting lines to the power network may not have a diameter less than
rubber hose lines with the short designation HO5 RNF. Extension cords must
satisfy the DIN VDE 0620 standard.
-Insure that Bitron is equipped with a measured residual current protective
fixture (FI or RCD) with a measured residual current that is not more than 30mA.
-Electrical installations for garden ponds and swimming pools must correspond
to national construction determinations.
-Compare the electrical data of your power supply with that on the nameplate.
These data must agree.
-Position the Bitron where it cannot be flooded!
-Do not operate the Bitron if there are people in the water!
-Do not carry or pull the Bitron by the power cord!
-Keep the connecting points (power plugs) dry!
-Do not operate the Bitron, if the connecting line, view glass or housing
appear to be defective!
-Never pump any liquid other than water!
-Never open the Bitron casing, or parts that belong to it, if there are not
specific instructions in this regard in the operating instructions.
-Never operate the Bitron without water flow-through!
-The distance between Bitron and pond must be at least 2 m.
-Attention! Never operate the Bitron with more than 0.5 bar (5 mwc) water
pressure!
-Note: With Bitron the integrated temperature monitor shuts off the bulb when
it overheats. When it cools down, the Bitron automatically switches on again.
-Lay the hoses and the connecting line in such a manner that they present no
obstacle, and that the possibility of damage is excluded!
-If frost is expected, then you must deinstall the Bitron with integrated UVC.
-Setup the Bitron so that it is not exposed to direct sunlight.
-Please observe the local noise ordinances.

5. Installation
-You must read and follow the safety instructions before the installation!
-The Bitron 9C/11C is suitable for a pump capacity of up to 5,500 l/h. The water
flow-through on the UVC bulb should not exceed 1500l/h for the Bitron 9C,
and 1700 l/h for the Bitron 11C. See the bypass setting.
-Please select the filter system according to the following table (selection
criteria: Pond size and with/without fish stock).
5.1 Setting up the Bitron
5.1.1 Single setup with hoses
-Anchor the Bitron horizontally on a suitable substrate with the feet down.

-Use Ø 3.9 mm metal screws to mount the unit.
-The screw may be screwed into the casing feet a maximum of 22 mm.
-When using the Aquamax 2000, the bypass can be closed with the sealing
cap (1d). A second line should be attached for the bypass for Aquamax 3500
and 5500.
-Adjust the bypass according to 5.2 and close the hoses according to 5.3.
-Push the threaded collar (1a) over the stepped hose adapter (1b). Push the hose
up and secure with a hose clamp (one hose clamp in each of these sizes is
included: ¾", 1", 1¼" and 1½" for the water supply. Insert the flat gasket (1c) into
the threaded collar (1a) and screw it tightly onto the threaded duct.

5.1.2 Connection on the Biotec 4
-Screw nut G1 ½" (1f) and intake nozzle (18a) (supplied with Biotec 4) onto
the upper threaded duct.
-Point the intake nozzle (18a) downwards and lock it with nut (1f).
-Place the air hose (18b) (supplied with Biotec 4) onto the Biotec intake nozzle
(18a).
-Thread the large flat gasket (18c) (supplied with Biotec 4) onto the Bitron
housing duct.
-Remove the lid of the Biotec 4.
-Insert the Bitron in the filter housing.
-Screw the G1 ½" nut (1f) onto the threaded duct.
-Adjust the bypass according to 5.2 and connect the hoses according to 5.3.

5.2 Bypass settings
The water flow-rate can be adjusted through the bypass system, to achieve
optimal water treatment.
- Place the throttle turn handle (a) on the appropriate pump.
5.3 Hose connection
-Only operate the Bitron with pressure hoses that are approved for at least
0.5 bar, or for the maximum pump pressure.
Hose recommendation: Aquamax 2000 1 inch
Aquamax 3500 1 ¼ inch
Aquamax 5500 1 ¼ - 1 ½ inch
-To avoid pressure loss, saw off the stepped hose adapter at the appropriate
point for the respective hose.
-Avoid unnecessary angles and curves that lead to additional pressure loss.
-To insure the function of the cleaning rotor (3), the UVC 9C/11C intake nozzle
must be inserted in the supply duct in the case of low water flow-through.
For Aquamax 2000 and 3500 the UVC 9C/11C (1e) intake nozzle must always
be inserted.


6. Placing in service
-First turn on the pump and wait until the Britron is filled with water.
-Check all connections for leaks. Resolve any leaks if present.
-Only after this has been done should you turn on the Bitron.
-Check the UVC light function and cleaning rotor function through the view
glass for the single setup. If there is a rotating blue shimmering light, then both
functions are OK.
-When integrating in the Biotec 4, check the function of the UVC light via the
sight rod (b). The cleaning rotor function is audible, or can be felt by touching
the housing.
7. Maintenance
Insure that the Bitron is never operated without water flow-through! Always
keep the Briton’s water outlet free! Regularly remove coarse pollutants in the
Bitron’s discharge/intake hoses. Check the UVC light function and cleaning rotor
function through the view glass according to section 6. Placing in service.
8. Cleaning
8.1 Automatic cleaning
The cleaning rotor (3) is continuously guided around the quartz glass tube by the
water flow. Thus the settling of sludge and slime is directly prevented.
The result is a quartz glass tube that is always clear, which insures 100%
efficiency of the irradiation.
-The Bitron must be permanently operated.
-Intermittent operation can produce tough dirt and lime deposits that must be
removed by manual cleaning.
-Noise develops through the rotor movement which increases as the water
flow increases. Remove the UVC 9C/11C inlet nozzle (1e) if required.
8.2 Manual cleaning
(see the fold-out page)
1. Shutdown pump and the Briton and secure them from being turned on
unintentionally.
2. Loosen the housing screws (14) manually; pull off the UVC lid completely (12/
13).
3. Thoroughly clean the casing (2), cpl. UVC lid (12/13) with quartz glass tube
(7), O-ring (11) and cleaning rotor (3).
4. The O-ring (11) must be replaced if damaged.
5. Thread the O-ring (11) onto the UVC lid cpl. (12/13).

-Push the threaded collar (1a) over the stepped hose adapter (1b). Push the
hose up and secure with a hose clamp (only one hose clamp in each of these
sizes is included: ¾", 1", 1¼" and 1½" for the water supply).

9. Changing the bulb
(see the fold-out page)
1. Shutdown pump and the Briton and secure them from being turned on
unintentionally.
2. Loosen the housing screws (14) manually; pull off the UVC lid completely (12/
13).
3. Pull off the cleaning rotor (3).
4. Loosen the connecting screws (4) from the gasket (5) with a Phillips
screwdriver.
5. Carefully pull the quartz glass tube (7) with the O-ring (6) out of the UVC lid
cpl. (12/13).
6. Pull out UVC bulb (9/10) and replace. Note: Because of the built-in safety
switch the UVC light only comes on after the Bitron is completely assembled.
7. The O-ring (8) on the UVC lamp (9/10) is only used as a transport aid (thus it
can be disregarded).
8. Strip-off the O-ring (6) from he quartz glass (7).
9. Thoroughly clean housing (2), cleaning rotor (3), sealing flange (5), O-ring (6
and 11) and quartz glass tube.
10.Replace the O-rings (6 und 11) if they are damaged.
11. The O-rings (6 und 11) can be lubricated with an acid-free lubricant for
easier assembly.
12.Insert the quartz glass tube (7) with the O-ring (6) in the UVC lid cpl. (12/13).
13.The O-ring must be pressed into the rift between the UVC lid cpl. (12/13) and
quartz glass tube (7).
14.Remount the sealing flange (5) with the connecting screws (4).
15.Thread the O-ring (11) onto the UVC lid cpl. (12/13).
16.Press the UVC lid cpl (12/13) with O-ring (11) and cleaning rotor (3) into the
housing (2).
17.Fasten the housing screws (14) manually, alternating the screws in the
housing (2).
18.Place the Bitron in operation again (see section 6. Placing in service).
6. Press the UVC lid cpl (12/13) with O-ring (11) and cleaning rotor (3) into the
housing (2).
7. Fasten the housing screws (14) manually, alternating the screws in the housing (2).
8. Place the Bitron in operation again (see section 6. Placing in service).
8.3 Clean view glass
1. Shutdown pump and the Briton and secure them from being turned on
unintentionally.
2. Unscrew T1 coupling (17).
3. Thoroughly clean T1 coupling, view glass (16) and flat gasket (15).
4. Insert view glass (16) and flat gasket (15) in the coupling (17).
5. Screw on coupling.
6. Place the Bitron in operation again (see section 6. Placing in service).

13. Measures in case of malfunction
If there is no improvement in the water quality 4 weeks after turning on the
Bitron, the take the following measures:
12. Disposal instructions
Dispose of your Bitron device in an environmentally responsible manner. Obtain
information concerning disposal from your local garbage disposal authority.
UVC bulbs may not be disposed of in household garbage. Remove the UVC bulb
from the device and return the UVC bulb to a collection point, so that an
environmentally responsible disposal can be carried out.
10. Storage/Wintering
If frost is expected then you must deinstall the device! Thoroughly clean the device
(see section 8. Cleaning). Check the Bitron for damages. Store the Bitron in a dry
and frost-free location. Children must not have access to the storage location.
11. Repair /cable replacement
In the case of repair /cable replacement, send the defective Bitron directly to the
manufacturer.

2. Desembalaje
Los daños externos los tiene que comunicar inmediatamente a su distribuidor.
3. Utilización conforme a lo prescrito
La serie Bitron es idónea para la limpieza de agua de estanque desde +4°C
hasta +35°C. Al quedar expuesta el agua de estanque a la radiación de la luz
UVC de onda corta, se produce el exterminio de gérmenes y bacterias así como
la aglomeración de algas.
En combinación con los filtros OASE y las bombas OASE se consiguen limpiar
de manera óptima los estanques.

4. Indicaciones de seguridad
-Atención: Radiación ultravioleta peligrosa. ¡La radiación de la lámpara
UVC es peligrosa para los ojos y la piel! ¡No opere nunca la lámpara
Bitron fuera de la carcasa! No opere nunca el Bitron sin el rotor de limpieza,
puesto que éste es un elemento protector de la vista contra la radiación UVC.
-¡En caso de preguntas y problemas, diríjase por su propia seguridad a un
técnico electricista!
-¡No sumerja nunca el aparato en agua!
-Antes de efectuar usted cualquier trabajo en el aparato, retire siempre el
conector de red de todos los aparatos que se encuentran en el agua, y él de
este mismo aparato.
-Conecte el Bitron exclusivamente a una caja de enchufe con toma de tierra.
Esta caja de enchufe debe estar configurada conforme a las normas
nacionales vigentes (VDE, EN ...) Cerciórese de que el conductor de toma
de tierra sea conducido hasta el Bitron de forma segura.
-¡No utilice nunca instalaciones, adaptadores, cables de prolongación o de
conexión sin toma de tierra!
-Los cables de conexión a la red no deben tener una sección inferior que la del
cable con envolvente de goma que lleva las siglas HO5 RNF. Los cables de
prolongación se tienen corresponder con la norma DIN VDE 0620.
-Asegúrese de que el Bitron sea alimentado a través de un dispositivo de
corriente de defecto (FI o RCD) con una corriente de defecto calculada no
superior a 30mA.
-Las instalaciones eléctricas junto a estanques de jardín y piscinas deben ser
conformes a las normas de instalación internacionales y nacionales.
-Compare los datos eléctricos de la red de alimentación eléctrica con los
indicados en la tabla de características. Estos datos deben coincidir.
-¡Coloque el Bitron en un lugar a prueba de quedar sumergido!
-¡No haga funcionar el Bitron mientras haya personas dentro del agua!
-¡No transporte ni tire del Bitron por el cable de conexión!
-¡Mantenga secos los puntos de conexión (conector de red)!
-¡No opere el Bitron en caso de que se observen defectos en el cable de
conexión, la mirilla o carcasa!
-¡Nunca bombee otros líquidos que no sean agua!
-Nunca abra la carcasa del Bitron ni las piezas que le corresponden a ella si
no se le indica esto expresamente en el manual de manejo.
-¡No haga funcionar nunca el Bitron sin caudal de agua!
-La distancia desde el Bitron hasta el estanque tiene que ascender a 2 m como
mínimo.
-¡Atención! ¡No conecte nunca el Bitron con más de 0,5 bar (5 mCA) de
presión del agua!
-Atención: En el Bitron, el interruptor termoprotector incluido desconecta
automáticamente la lámpara en caso de sobrecalentamiento. Después del
enfriamiento, el Bitron se vuelve a conectar automáticamente.
-¡Tienda los tubos flexibles y el cable de conexión de forma que no se
constituyan en obstáculo y estén protegidos contra daños!
-Si es posible que se produzcan heladas, desinstale el Bitron con el UVC incluido.
-¡Coloque el Bitron de tal forma que no quede expuesto a la radiación solar directa!
-Preste atención a las disposiciones locales sobre la protección antirruido.
