Introduction
Océ designed products have been tested in accordance with the strictest
international safety standards. To help assure safe working with these products, it is
important that you observe the following safety rules.

Instructions
Do not remove any screws from fixed panels.
Carry out maintenance activities only to those parts of the equipment mentioned in
the user manuals. Use only maintenance materials as mentioned in the user
manuals.
Do not place any liquids on the machine.
Use maintenance materials or other materials for their original purpose only.
Keep maintenance materials away from children.
Do not mix cleaning fluids or other substances.
To avoid the risk of introducing hazards, all modifications to Océ equipment are
strictly reserved to properly qualified and trained service technicians.
Do not open doors when the machine is starting up or running unless the display
screen asks you to open one or more doors.
Instructions
Do not move the machine by yourself, but contact your local Océ organisation.
If for some reason you have to move the machine yourself, please make sure that
the mains power point has the right fuse capacity. See the safety data sheet of the
equipment in this information set for information about maximum current.
Do not bridge any mechanical or electrical circuit breakers.
It is recommended connect only those copy-control products (or other products)
which meet the (inter)national product safety and radio frequency interference
standards, and to use an attachment cable as specified by Océ.
Do not use an extension lead to connect the machine.
Do not use a different mains connector cable, as supplied by the machine.
When replacement of the power supply cable is required because of damage or
defect, contact Océ Service for proper replacement of this power supply cable.
This machine is not designed for connection to an IT power system. An IT power
system is a voltage network in which the neutral wire is not connected to earth.
For the equipment connected via a wall socket: locate the machine close to a wall
socket that is easily accessible.
For the equipment connected via a fixed connection to the electricity grid: the
disconnect device in the fixed connection should be easily accessible.

Never connect the machine to a mains voltage deviating from the value as defined
on the power-marking label. If connection to a different mains voltage is required,
contact your local Océ organisation. The power-marking label can be found at the
inside of the paper compartment door.
Do not use another mains connection cable than the one supplied with the machine.
When replacement of the main connection cable is required, because the cable is
damaged or defect, contact your local Océ organisation for a correct replacement
of the mains connection cable.
The plug on the power supply cord is intended to serve as the disconnect device.
The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily
accessible.

Do not block the ventilation openings of the machine to guarantee sufficient
airflow for cooling purposes. The back and left of the machine must be free of
obstacles for at least 30 cm over the full length, measured from the back and left
of the machine to the obstacles.
Ensure that the machine is placed on a level, horizontal surface of sufficient
strength. See the Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 Product safety data sheets in the
appendix for information about the weight of the equipment.
Ensure there is sufficient space around the machine. This facilitates reloading
materials as well as maintenance.
Do not place the machine in rooms which are too small or insufficiently ventilated.
See the Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 Product safety data sheets in the appendix for
information about the recommended room volume and ventilation.
The Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 is fitted with an ozone filter whose useful life is
equal to that of the machine. You do not need to replace the ozone filter.

Always use materials recommended by Océ and developed for this Océ machine.
Materials not approved by Océ may result in faults in your machine.
Do not use the machine when it is emitting unusual sounds. Remove the plug from
the power socket or turn off the fixed connection to the electricity grid and contact
your local Océ organisation.

The symbol "the crossed-out wheeled bin" indicates that at end-of-life of the
equipment separate collection is required in the EU Member States. The black bar
specifies that the appliance is put on the market after 13 August 2005. Reference:

EPA Energy Star®
Introduction
Océ-Technologies B.V. has joined the Energy Star®Program of the United States
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The purpose of the Energy Star®Program
is to promote the manufacturing and marketing of energy-efficient equipment,
thereby potentially reducing combustion-related pollution. Using the energy
management features outlined below prevents unnecessary power consumption,
which helps to prevent air pollution from electricity generating plants and saves
money on your utility bills.
As an Energy Star®Partner, Océ-Technologies B.V. has determined that the Océ
VarioPrint®1055 Network Printer, VarioPrint®1055 Digital Copier, the Océ
VarioPrint®1065 Network Printer, Océ VarioPrint®1065 Digital Copier, the Océ
VarioPrint®1075 Network Printer and the Océ VarioPrint®1075 Digital Copier
meet the Energy Star®guidelines for energy efficiency.
Read the Product Safety Data Sheet in this Safety manual for power consumption
data.
Read the Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 Configuration and maintenance manual how
to adjust the energy saving modes.
Features
The Energy Star®Criteria involve the following features.
■The energy save modes:
Low power mode (Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 Network Printer and Digital
Copier)
The Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 enters automatically the low power mode 15
minutes after completion of the last job. The Key operator can adjust the low
power mode default time (1-90 minutes). The Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 needs
10 seconds to wake up from the low power mode.
Sleep mode (Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 Network Printer)
The Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 Network Printer enters automatically the sleep
mode 90 minutes after completion of the last job. The Key operator can adjust the
sleep mode default time (10-90 minutes).
Auto-off mode (Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 Digital Copier)
The Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 Digital Copier switches off automatically the
sleep mode 90 minutes after completion of the last job. The Key operator can
adjust the auto-off default time (10-90 minutes).
If the above mentioned default times for the low power mode (15 minutes), sleep
mode (90 minutes) and auto-off mode (90 minutes) cause inconvenience, you
can request Océ Service to increase the default times to a maximum of 240

minutes. It is suggested to determine the appropriate default times for your work
pattern by changing the setting in steps of 30 minutes and testing each setting for
at least a week.
Only if the default sleep mode or auto-off mode time limit of 240 minutes still
causes sizable inconvenience, due to your particular work pattern, the Key
operator can disable the sleep mode.
■Automatic duplex
Using both sides of paper reduces paper costs, national energy consumption and
the amount of paper in the waste disposal process. Therefore, the Océ VarioPrint®
1055/65/75 is default set for automatic duplex copying and printing.
■Recycled paper
The use of recycled paper also benefits the environment. The Océ VarioPrint®
1055/65/75 is designed to use recycled paper. Product literature on recommended
types of recycled copier / printer paper can be obtained from your local Océ
company or Océ Headquarters (Océ-Technologies B.V.) in Venlo, the
Netherlands.

Úvod
Produkty společnosti Océ byly testovány v souladu s nejpřísnějšími
mezinárodními bezpečnostními normami. Při práci s těmito produkty je nutné
dodržovat následující bezpečnostní pravidla.

Neodstraňujte šrouby, které jsou součástí pevných panelů.
Údržbu provádějte pouze podle pokynů v uživatelských příručkách.
Používejte výhradně materiály pro údržbu uvedené v uživatelských
příručkách.
Dbejte na to, aby se zařízení nedostalo do kontaktu s tekutinou.
Materiály pro údržbu a další materiály používejte výhradně k účelu, k němuž
jsou určeny.
Uchovávejte materiály pro údržbu mimo dosah dětí.
Nesměšujte čisticí tekutiny ani další látky.
Z důvodu předcházení úrazům či hmotným škodám smí veškeré úpravy na
zařízení Océ provádět pouze kvalifikovaný a školený servisní technik.
V době spouštění a běhu zařízení neotvírejte dvířka, pokud jste k tomu
nebyli přímo vyzváni pokyny na displeji.

Zařízení sami nestěhujte, kontaktujte místní zastoupení společnosti Océ.
Pokud z určitých důvodů musíte zařízení přemístit, zkontrolujte, zda mají
jističe příslušného elektrického okruhu správnou kapacitu. Informace o
maximálním proudu najdete v bezpečnostním listu zařízení v této
dokumentaci.
Nespojujte přerušené mechanické ani elektrické obvody.
Je doporučeno připojovat pouze takové produkty pro správu kopírování
(nebo jiné produkty), které splňují místní a mezinárodní bezpečnostní
předpisy a standardy pro rádiové rušení, a k připojení používat pouze kabely
schválené společností Océ.
Zařízení nepřipojujte prostřednictvím prodlužovacího kabelu.
Nepoužívejte jiný napájecí kabel nežkabel dodaný se zařízením.
Pokud je nutné napájecí kabel vyměnit, protože je poškozený nebo vadný,
kontaktujte servis společnosti Océ a požádejte o výměnu napájecího kabelu.
Toto zařízení není určeno pro připojení k napájecímu systému IT. Systém IT
je napěť ová síť s neuzemněným nulovým vodičem.
Při zapojení zařízení do elektrické zásuvky: použijte snadno dostupnou
zásuvku a zařízení umístěte v její blízkosti.

Při pevném připojení zařízení k elektrické síti: vypínač napájení by měl být
snadno přístupný.
Zařízení nikdy nepřipojujte do sítě, jejížnapětí se neshoduje s hodnotou
uvedenou na štítku zařízení. Pokud je nutné připojit zařízení k síti s
odlišným napětím, kontaktujte místní zastoupení společnosti Océ. Š títek se
specifikacemi napájení se nachází na vnitřní straně dvířek zásobníků papíru.
Používejte výhradně napájecí kabel dodaný se zařízením. Pokud je nutné
napájecí kabel vyměnit, protože je poškozený nebo vadný, kontaktujte a
požádejte o výměnu napájecího kabelu místní zastoupení společnosti Océ.
Zástrčka napájecího kabelu slouží k odpojení zařízení. Elektrická zásuvka by
se měla nacházet v blízkosti zařízení a měla by být snadno přístupná.

Aby bylo zajištěno dostatečné chlazení prouděním vzduchu, nezakrývejte
větrací otvory zařízení. Zadní a levá strana zařízení musí být od překážek
vzdáleny minimálně 30 cm.
Zařízení umístěte na rovném, vodorovném a dostatečně pevném povrchu.
Informace o hmotnosti zařízení najdete v bezpečnostním listu zařízení Océ
VarioPrint®1055/65/75 v dodatku.
Kolem zařízení musí být dostatek místa. Usnadníte tak doplňování
materiálů a údržbu.
Neumísť ujte zařízení do příliš malých nebo nedostatečně větraných
místností. Informace o doporučeném prostoru a ventilaci najdete v
bezpečnostním listu zařízení Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 v dodatku.
Zařízení Océ VarioPrint®1055/65/75 je vybaveno ozónovým filtrem, jehož
životnost odpovídá životnosti celého zařízení. Ozónový filtr není nutné
měnit.

Vždy používejte materiály doporučené společností Océ a vyvinuté pro toto
zařízení Océ. Materiály, které nebyly schváleny společností Océ, nemusí
přinášet dobré výsledky nebo mohou zařízení poškodit.
Zařízení nepoužívejte, pokud vydává neobvyklé zvuky. Odpojte napájecí
kabel z elektrické zásuvky nebo vypněte pevné elektrické připojení a
kontaktujte místní zastoupení společnosti Océ.

Symbol „přeškrtnutého kontejneru“ označuje, že po skončení životnosti
zařízení je v členských státech EU vyžadována likvidace zařízení tříděním
odpadu. Černý pruh určuje, že zařízení bylo dáno na trh po 13. srpnu 2005.
