OPERATING THE DEVICE
Do not begin a weight reduction or exercise program without consulting your
physicianorhealthcareproviderrst.Self-diagnosiscoulddamageyourhealth.
Keep the scale out of the reach of young children.
Read all of the information in the instruction manual and any other literature in the
box before operating the unit.
Persons with disabilities or persons who are physically frail should be assisted by
another person when using this scale or use a handrail, a walker, or other support
device to prevent falling when stepping on and off the scale.
Do not step on the edge or the display area of the measurement platform. The scale
may tilt and the display unit may be damaged.
Do not step on the measurement platform when your body or feet are wet, for
example after taking a bath or shower. You may slide and lose your balance.

correct measurement may not be possible.

Dispose of the device, battery, components and optional accessories according to
applicable local regulations. Unlawful disposal may cause environmental pollution.
Operate the unit only as intended. Do not use for any other purpose.

This unit is intended for home use only. It is not intended for professional use
in hospitals or other medical facilities. This unit does not support the standards
required for professional use.
Clean the scale before using the unit with people who have a skin or foot disease.
Approvedforhumanuseonly.
The glass on the scale can be slippery so be careful not to fall.
Do not store the scale in locations that may expose it to chemical or corrosive
vapours.
Do not place the scale against walls. Doing so may cause injury or malfunction.

Omron Healthcare will void the user warranty.

bATTERy INSTALLATION
BATTERY PLACEMENT
Beforeusingthisscaleforthersttimeyoumustrstinstalltheenclosedbattery.You
willneedtopulloutthebatteryinsulationlmwhenyouinsertthebatteryfortherst
time.
1. Open the battery cover.
2. Put one 3V lithium battery into the battery box
(positivepoleupward)andthentightlyclosethe
battery box.
NOTE:
When installing the battery, please do not press the base
of the scale, it may cause an inaccurate measurement.
If this happens, reinstall the battery or place the scale on
aatsurfaceforatleast20minutesbeforeyoutakethe
measurement again.
WHEN YOU INSTALL THE BATTERY FOR THE FIRST TIME
1. This is what the display looks like after initial battery placement.
2. After1-2secondsthedisplaywillreturntozero.
3. Placethescalehorizontallyonaatsurface.
The power turns off after the scale displays the
valueautomatically(Note:thevalue1.5is
forinstance)

If it is not placed horizontally, incorrect measurement may occur.
About the battery
(1)Ifthedisplayshows it means the battery is running out.
Please replace the battery.
(2)Thebatteryisone3Vlithiumbattery.
(3) sign may not appear when old battery is used.
(4)Batterylifeisapproximately1year(measured4timesaday).
(5)Removethebatterywhennotusingtheunitforalongtime.Iftheunitwith
the installed battery is not used for long time, it may cause battery leakage and
product failure.

HOW TO TAKE A MEASUREMENT
1. Step onto the unit.
Stand with your weight evenly distributed on the measurement platform.
Remain still and do not move until the measurement is complete.
2. Check the measurement results.
When(LB)isdisplayed,themeasurementends.
3. Step off the unit.
The scale will be automatically turned off after 16 seconds.
NOTES:
• Ifyoustandinanunstablemanner,thedisplayvaluewillashandautomatically
shut down 10 seconds later.
• Youcanchangethemeasurementunit.
1)PresstheplatformtoturntheunitON.
2)PresstheUnitbuttononthebackoftheunittoselectthedesiredmeasurement
unit, “lb” or “kg”.
The unit changes with each press of the Unit button.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
To keep your Digital Scale in the best condition and protect it from damage, follow the
directions below:
Clean the scale with a soft dry cloth. Do not use abrasive or volatile cleaners. The
scale is not waterproof.
Store the scale in a safe and dry location. Do not expose the scale to direct sunlight,
extreme hot or cold temperatures or humidity. Thoroughly dry any moisture off the
scale before storing.
Remove the battery if the scale will not be used for three months or longer.
Use the scale consistent with the instruction provided in this manual.

Your OMRON®SC100 Digital Scale, excluding the battery, is warranted to be free
from defects in materials and workmanship appearing within 1 year from the date of
purchase, when used in accordance with the instructions provided with the unit. The
above warranties extend only to the original retail purchaser.
We will, at our option, repair or replace without charge any scale covered by the above
warranties. Repair or replacement is our only responsibility and your only remedy
under the above warranties. To obtain warranty service contact Omron Healthcare’s

the return shipping and handling fee. Information for warranty service is available on
