2 Remote I/O
This section describes the driver’s remote I/Os.
“n” indicates the address assigned to the master station via station-number setting.
Note
•Do not turn ON/OFF the remote I/Os indicated by“Cannot be used”in the list. If these remote I/Os are
turned ON/OFF, a correct driver operation cannot be guaranteed.
•If a data setter is connected, the remote I/Os will become eective in modes other than the test mode.

2.2 RY signals (master to driver)
The following explains the RY signals (driver input signal) sent from the master to the driver.
The timing chart provided below assumes the following settings:
•When the FWD input is turned ON, the motor will turn in the CW direction.
•When the STOP-MODE input is turned ON, the motor will decelerate to a stop.
 FWD/REV (forward/reverse input)
When the FWD input or REV input is turned ON, the motor will run. When the FWD/REV input is turned OFF, the motor
will stop.
The motor decelerates to a stop if it is stopped while the STOP-MODE input is ON. The motor stops instantaneously if
the STOP-MODE input is OFF.
Turning the FWD input and REV input ON at the same time will cause the motor to stop instantaneously.
Whether the motor should turn in the CW direction or CCW direction when the FWD input is turned ON can be set
using the “motor direction selection”parameter (p.13).

 M0/M1/M2 (data selection input)
Desired operation data can be selected by a combination of ON/OFF statuses of M0 to M2 inputs. Up to eight sets of
operation data can be set, and the rotating speed, acceleration time and deceleration time can be set for each data
set.
If the operation data is changed using the M0 to M2 inputs while the motor is operating, the motor will accelerate or
decelerate according to the acceleration or deceleration time set for the new operation data.
Note The STOP-MODE input is ignored when using the M0 to M2 inputs.

 STOP-MODE (stop mode selection input)
This input is used to select how to stop the motor when the FWD input or REV input is turned OFF.
If the STOP-MODE input is ON, the motor will stop according to the deceleration time that has been set.
If the STOP-MODE input is OFF, the motor will stop instantaneously.

 ALARM-RESET (alarm reset input)
When an alarm generates and the driver’s protective function is actuated, the ALARM-OUT1 output will turn OFF and
the motor will stop spontaneously. To reset the alarm, remove the cause of the alarm, and then turn the ALARM-RESET
input from ON to OFF or cycle the control power supply. The alarm will be reset and the ALARM-OUT1 output will
return to the ON status.
If the driver’s protective function is actuated due to an overload, the ALARM-OUT2 output will also turn OFF. In this
case, reset the alarm in the same method as explained above. Both the ALARM-OUT1 output and ALARM-OUT2
output will return to the ON status.

Note
•Alarms cannot be reset if the FWD input or REV input is ON or the motor is running.
Be sure to stop the motor before resetting any alarm.
•The ALARM-OUT1 output and ALARM-OUT2 output are normally closed signals, meaning that both
outputs are normally ON.

 M-REQ (monitor performance request)
This signal is used to request monitoring by remote registers.
See “7 Monitor function”on p.27 for details on monitor function.
 VW-REQ (rotating speed setting request)
This signal requests setting (writing) of the rotating speed data via a remote register.
Set the rotating speed of the operation data selected by the M0 to M2 inputs.
For the method to write data, see “5.4 Writing the rotating speed via the set rotating speed (RWwn1)”on p.23.
 CW-REQ (command code execution request)
This signal requests execution of a command code via a remote register.
Command codes can be used to set (write) and check (read) data.
For the writing and reading using command codes, see “5.2 Writing data via the command code (RWwn2)” on p.21
and “5.3 Reading data via the command code (RWwn2)” on p.22.

2.3 RX signals (driver to master)
The following explains the RX signals (driver output signal) sent from the driver to the master.
The timing chart provided below assumes the following settings:
•When the FWD input is turned ON, the motor will turn in the CW direction.
•When the STOP-MODE input is turned ON, the motor will decelerate to a stop.
 FWD (forward mode output)
When the FWD input is turned ON, an operation command will be output and the driver will excite the motor. As a
result, the FWD output will turn ON.
Refer to the timing chart shown in “FWD/REV (forward/reverse input)” on p.4.
 REV (reverse mode output)
When the REV input is turned ON, an operation command will be output and the driver will excite the motor. As a
result, the REV output will turn ON.
Refer to the timing chart shown in “FWD/REV (forward/reverse input)” on p.4.
 MOVE (motor running output)
This output remains ON while a motor operation command is output.
To detect a stopping of the motor, use the output rotating speed (RWwn1) or “output rotating speed” under the
monitor function.
See “7 Monitor function”on p.27 for details on monitor function.
Refer to the timing chart shown in “FWD/REV (forward/reverse input)” on p.4.
 VA (speed attained output)
This signal is output when the motor rotating speed reaches the set value.
The detection band from the set value can be set using the“rotating speed attainment band”parameter (p.13).

 ALARM-OUT2 (alarm output 2)
The ALARM-OUT2 output is a normally closed signal, meaning that it is normally ON.
When the overload detection level is exceeded, the ALARM-OUT2 output will turn OFF. Once the load drops to below
the detection level, the output will return to the ON status. The detection level can be set using the “overload warning
level” parameter (p.16). Whether or not to use this overload warning function is set using the “overload warning
function” parameter (p.16).
Regardless of whether or not the warning function is used, once the overload protection function is actuated the
ALARM-OUT2 output will always turn OFF. For the method to reset the overload protection function, see “9.1 Driver
alarm” on p.32.
 MPS (main power supply status output)
This output signal stays ON while the main power supply is turned ON.
 WNG (warning output)
If a warning generates, the WNG output will turn ON. Once the warning is reset, the output will return to the OFF
status. For the types of warnings, see“9.2 Driver warning”on p.34.
For your information, whether or not to use the overload warning can be set using the “overload warning function”
parameter (“Overload warning function” on p.16).

 ALARM- OUT1 (alarm output 1)
The ALARM-OUT1 output is a normally closed signal, meaning that it is normally ON.
The ALARM-OUT1 output will turn OFF when the driver’s protective function has actuated due to an alarm.
For the method to reset the protective function, see “9.1 Driver alarm”on p.32.

 S-BSY (during the internal processing)
The signal will remain ON while the following internal processes are performed:
While the S-BSY output is ON, any request that uses the CW-REQ input or VW-REQ input is ignored.
•When the power supply is turned on
•While the EEPROM is being read
•While the EEPROM is being written
•While data is being written
•While data is being read
 M-BSY (monitoring)
This signal remains ON while the driver or motor status is being checked using the monitor function.
See “7 Monitor function”on p.27 for details on monitor function.
 VW-END (rotating speed setting complete)
This signal will turn ON when the VW-REQ input command is completed successfully. When the VW-REQ input is
turned OFF, the VW-END output will also turn OFF.
 CW-END (command code execution complete)
This signal will turn ON when the CW-REQ input command is completed successfully. When the CW-REQ input is
turned OFF, the CW-END output will also turn OFF.
 CRD (remote station communication ready)
This signal will turn ON when the initialization of the driver is completed. The CRD signal continues to be output while
the control power supply is input.

This section describes the driver’s remote registers.

3.2 RWw register
 Monitor code (RWwn0)
This register stores the code used under the monitor function. See “7 Monitor function”on p.27 for details on
monitor function.
 Set rotating speed (RWwn1)
This register stores the rotating speed to be set for the operation data selected by the M0 to M2 inputs.
The stored rotating speed will be written when the VW-REQ input is turned ON.
See “5.4 Writing the rotating speed via the set rotating speed (RWwn1)” on p.23 for details.
 Command code (RWwn2)
This register stores the code for setting (writing) and checking (reading) data.
You can set/check data by storing a read command code or write command code and then turning ON the CW-REQ
input.
For data write and read using command codes, see “5.2 Writing data via the command code (RWwn2)” on p.21 and
“5.3 Reading data via the command code (RWwn2)” on p.22.

 Write data (RWwn3)
This register stores the data written by a command code.
For data write using a command code, see “5.2 Writing data via the command code (RWwn2)” on p.21.

3.3 RWr register
 Monitor value (RWrn0)
This register stores the data obtained via the monitor function. See “7 Monitor function”on p.27 for details on
monitor function.
 Output rotating speed (RWrn1)
This register always stores the rotating speed of the motor output shaft.
The output is based on the following logic: a positive value indicates the direction achieved by the FWD input, while a
negative value indicates the direction achieved by the REV input.
Whether the motor should turn in the CW direction or CCW direction when the FWD input is turned ON can be set
using the “motor direction selection”parameter (p.13).
 Response code (RWrn2)
This register stores the processing result of each execution request eected by the CW-REQ input or
VW-REQ input. Every time a new processing result is obtained, the response code is overwritten and refreshed.

•An attempt was made to execute a command when an internal
processing was still in progress.
•An attempt was made to execute a prohibited command during
operation (when the MOVE output is ON).

 Read data (RWrn3)
This register stores the data that has been read via a command code.

4 Codes
The following four types of codes are used by the CC-Link driver of the BLE series.
Type Description
Operation data read/write code Set the rotating speed, acceleration time and deceleration time.
Parameter read/write code Set the motor operating environment.
Read-only code Read the alarm and warning history. Read data relating to the speed display.
Special code Write/read the RAM and EEPROM. Clear the alarm history and initialize the parameters.

 Gear ratio
Description
Set the numerical part of the gear ratio relative to the rotating speed of the motor output shaft.
The gear ratio is used for“operating speed” under the monitor function. Also set the “gear ratio digit
specication” parameter.

will be given priority. If the speed increasing ratio is 1, the speed does not increase and consequently the
speed increasing ratio will be ignored. In this case, the operating speed output by the monitor function
corresponds to the output data calculated by the set value of the“gear ratio”parameter. See “7 Monitor
function”on p.27 for details on monitor function.
