IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
hen using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed,
including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
• Unplug cord from outlet when not in use or efore cleaning.
• To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or motor ase in
water or any other liquids.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of ta le or counter or touch hot surfaces.
• Never leave appliance unattended when in use.
• Close supervision is necessary when used y or near children.
• Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands and utensils out of jar while lending to prevent
personal injury or damage to the lender. A ru er spatula may e used only when the lender
is not running.
• The lade is sharp. Handle with care.
• To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutter-assem ly lades on ase without jar properly
attached.
• Always put the lid on the jar efore operating the lender.
• Do not lend oiling liquids in the lender.
• When lending hot liquids eware of steam. Remove the filler cap from the lid to allow steam
to escape.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions
or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest Authorized
Sun eam Appliance Service Center for examination, repair or electrical mechanical adjustment.
• Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes; this appliance is for household use only.
• Always operate on a flat surface.
• Unplug the lender when not in use, efore taking off or putting on parts and efore cleaning.
• Use this appliance for its intended use as descri ed in this manual. The use of attachments not
made y the manufacturer, including canning or ordinary jar and processing assem ly parts, is
not recommended y Sun eam Products, Inc. and may cause injury.

The maximum rating marked on the product is ased on the attachment that draws
the greatest load. Other attachments may draw less power.
PO ER CORD INSTRUCTIONS
Please follow the instructions elow to ensure the safe use of the power cord.
• This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug. This type of plug has one lade that
is wider than the other. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. This is a
safety feature intended to help reduce the risk of electrical shock. If you are una le to
insert the plug into the outlet, contact a qualified electrician to replace the o solete
outlet. Do not attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug y modifying
the plug in any way.
• You may use an extension cord, if necessary, ut e certain to follow these guidelines:
– The marked electrical rating of the extension cord must e at least 120/127 Volt,
60 Hz, 10A.

The extension must e arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop
or
ta letop, will not e within the reach of children, and will not e tripped over.
– Do not pull, twist or otherwise a use the power cord.
