iPod and Auxiliary input
Interface with HD Radio Option for
General Motors Class2 Databus Radios
The uPAC-GMC2 interface is a multi input media device compatible with select General
Motors Class2 databus radios. The 2 inputs will support any of the following combinations:
iPod/Auxiliary, iPod/HD Radio (HD Radio sold separately) or Auxiliary/HD Radio (HD Radio
sold separately). The iPod input can be used as full control from the radio or full control
from the iPod. If a factory SAT tuner or DVD video system is present, it will continue to
operate as well. The optional HD Radio tuner is part number uPAC-HDRT. Please visit
www.pac-audio.com for a complete list of supported vehicles.
Confi guring the uPAC-GMC2 (iPod and Auxiliary input as devices):
Before connecting the uPAC-GMC2 to the vehicle place all switches in the up (Off) position.
Device 1 should be connected to the iPod cable.
Device 2 should be connected to the auxiliary input cable. If both the 3.5mm cable and RCA connections
are used make sure to only have one of the 2 sources powered at a time.
Note: If the optional HD Radio Tuner is used, refer to the uPAC-HDRT’s connection manual for confi guration and
operation instructions. The USB connection has no function at this time.
Connecting to the vehicle:
With the key off, remove the radio and locate the 24-pin and 12-pin
male radio connectors. Plug the vehicle’s 24-pin and 12-pin male
connectors into the uPAC-GMC2’s female connectors. Connect the
male connectors from the uPAC-GMC2 harness into the radio. The
24-pin Micro-fi t connector plugs into the uPAC-GMC2 and the factory
radio can now be reinstalled.
