1. Description of the device
The SensoNODE Blue diagnostic sensor, called sensor in the
following, is used to measure pressures and temperatures. The
sensor is approved for the pressures and temperatures listed in
the technical data ( “Technical Data” on page 23).
Scope of delivery and accessories
Check the delivery of accessories for completeness.. If
something is missing, contact your sales representative.

2. Safety information
Before you work with the sensor , read and heed the information
in these operating instructions. Failure to follow the instructions
provided, especially the safety information, can pose a danger to
humans, the environment, and other equipment.
The sensor represents the state of the art in terms of accuracy,
operating principle as well as safe and reliable operation.
Comply with existing national regulations for
accident prevention and safety at the workplace
when working!
Note the IP protection rating when using the sensor
in what areas ( “Technical Data” on page 23)!
Allow only trained technical personnel to install
the sensor!
Comply with the specified tightening to ques!
Do not apply any force to the sensor!
Never use a damaged or defective sensor!

2.1 Intended use
The sensor has been designed for measurement of
pressure and temperature in the approved ranges
( “Technical Data” on page 23) .
The sensor is intended solely for use with the Voice of
the Machine mobile app.
Any other application beyond the above use of the sensor is
prohibited, can result in accidents or destruction of the sensor
and immediately voids any and all warranty claims against the
manufacturer.
Misuse
The sensor does not comply with Directive 2014/34/
EU and for this reason may not be used in potentially
explosive atmospheres.

2.2 Technical personnel
These operating instructions are intended for trained technical
personnel who are familiar with the applicable regulations and
standards in the field of application. The technical personnel
entrusted with commissioning and operating the device must
have suitable qualifications. The qualifications can be acquired
in the form of training or appropriate instruction.
The technical personnel must be familiar with the content of
these operating instructions, which must be accessible at all
times.

3.1 Operation
The installation of the sensor into an existing plant system will
measure and provide the current pressure value. The measured
data is sent to a mobile device via Bluetooth with the Voice of
the Machine mobile app ( “Connecting the sensor to the
Voice of the Machine mobile app” on page 12). The LED
indicates the current task being carried out by the sensor.
3.2 LED status (sensor not connected)
Red Green Blue: Startup sequence. After several
repetitions, the battery will drain and need to be replaced
( “Changing the battery” on page 10).

Construction and operation
3.1 Operation
The installation of the sensor into an existing plant system will
measure and provide the current pressure value. The measured
data is sent to a mobile device via Bluetooth with the Voice of
the Machine mobile app ( “Connecting the sensor to the
Voice of the Machine mobile app” on page 12). The LED
indicates the current task being carried out by the sensor.
3.2 LED status (sensor not connected to app)
Red Green Blue: Startup sequence. This will
change to just blue flashing
Note: if this keeps repeating after startup, the battery is low and
needs to be replaced ( “Changing the battery” on page 10).
Blue flashing: Sensor looking for a connection
Gen2 generation sensors will continue the blue flashing while in
unconnected state.
Gen4 newest generation of SensoNODE, after approximately
1 minute the LED will change from the flashing blue LED to
now mimic the Connected Mode LED status to provide a visual
indication of the sensor measurement value (see page 9).

3.3 LED Status (Connected Mode)**
Green (single brief flash) - Sensor measurement -
Sensor reading between 0% and 25% of span.
Yellow (single brief flash) - Sensor measurement -
Sensor reading between 25% and 50% of span.
Orange (single brief flash) - Sensor measurement -
Sensor reading between 50% and 75% of span.
Red (single brief flash) - Sensor measurement - Sensor
reading between 75% and 100% of span.
3.4 Broadcast Mode
■The sensor is always available.
■The sensor will be displayed on several devices.

3.5 Connected Mode
■The sensor will be displayed on only one
connected device.
■Bidirectional communication with the connected
device will allow the adjustment of settings and
recording of measurements.
4. Changing the battery
1 Remove the screws from the battery cover (d).
2 Remove the cover (a).
3 Remove the old battery.
4 Insert new battery (CR123A or
Parker QX-008-121).
5 Replace the cover (a).
6 Tighten the screws in the battery cover (d).
The battery has been replaced.

1 Press the POWER button.
Sensor starts automatically when a battery is
inserted.
6. Switching the sensor off
1 Press and hold the POWER button for 3 seconds.
The LED lights up red for 3 seconds .
The LED flashes orange.
The LED flashes red.
The sensor is switched off

Mobile App
The Voice of the Machine mobile app can be downloaded to
your mobile device from the App Store or Google™ play.
1 Download the Voice of the Machine
mobile app to the mobile device.
2 Switch on Bluetooth on the mobile device.
3 Open the Voice of the Machine mobile app.
4 Tap the “OK” button.
5 Allow access.
6 Tap the “+” button.
7 Tap the desired sensor.
8 Tap the “Add” button.
The sensor and the Voice of the Machine mobile
app are connected.

NOTE
Risk of material damage from unprofessionally
performed repair.
►Open the sensor only to replace the battery!
►Never attempt to make repairs yourself!
►In the event of a defect, return the sensor to
the manufacturer!

Maintenance
The sensor is maintenance-free and cannot be repaired by the
user. In the event of a defect, the sensor must be returned to
the manufacturer for repair.
Cleaning
Use a dry or lightly moistened, lint-free cloth to clean the outer
surfaces of the sensor.
NOTE
Risk of material damage from aggressive and
chemically etching substances.
►Never use abrasive or volatile cleaners!
►Do not use sharp objects or
aggressive cleaners!
