Introduction
The PASPORT Skin/Surface Temperature Probe
measures temperature from -10°C to +70°C. It
plugs into a PASCO temperature sensor such as
the PS-2125 PASPORT Temperature Sensor.
The probe can be placed on the surface of the
skin or on an object. Typical applications are for
experiments mapping skin temperature changes,
and for studying surface versus core tempera-
tures to heat, cold, and exercise.
Safety
To avoid damage to the probe, do not use
the probe in an open flame, under water, on
a hot plate, or beyond the recommended
temperature range.
Setup Procedure
1. Insert the probe’s stereo plug into the port
on a compatible PASCO Temperature
Sensor (such as the PS-2125).
2. Connect the Temperature Sensor to a
PASCO Interface.
3. Connect the PASCO Interface to your
computing device such as a computer,
table, or smart phone.
4. Place the probe on the surface of the skin
and hold it in place with your hand or med-
ical tape.
Data Collection
• For information about collecting, display-
ing, and analyzing data, refer to the Online
Help System for the PASCO Data Collec-
tion Software.
Start the Data Collection Software and click
Record or press Start to begin collecting data.
Procedure Note
Calibration of the probe with a PASCO Tempera-
ture Sensor is generally not needed.

The Skin/Surface Temperature Probe is an
educational instrument. It is not designed, tested,
or intended for medical use.

Limited Warranty
PASCO scientific warrants the product to be free from defects in
materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the
date of shipment to the customer. PASCO will repair or replace,
at its option, any part of the product, which is deemed to be
defective in material or workmanship. The warranty does not
cover damage to the product caused by abuse or improper use.
Determination of whether a product failure is the result of a
manufacturing defect or improper use by the customer shall be
made solely by PASCO scientific. Responsibility for the return
of equipment for warranty repair belongs to the customer.
Equipment must be properly packed to prevent damage and
shipped postage or freight prepaid. (Damaged caused by
improper packing of the equipment for return shipment will not
be covered by the warranty.) Shipping costs for returning the
equipment after repair will be paid by PASCO scientific.
