Responsibilityforplanning,assembly,commissioning,operation,
maintenance,anddismountinglieswiththeplantoperator.
Thepersonnelmustbeappropriatelytrainedandqualifiedinordertocarry
outmounting,installation,commissioning,operation,maintenance,and
dismountingofthedevice.Thetrainedandqualifiedpersonnelmusthave
readandunderstoodtheinstructionmanual.

andtheoperatinglocation.ObserveDirective1999/92/ECinrelationto

Thedeviceisonlyapprovedforappropriateandintendeduse.Ignoring
theseinstructionswillvoidanywarrantyandabsolvethemanufacturer
fromanyliability.
VisuNetFLXPanelsconsistofadisplayunitwithtouchscreenin
combinationwithacomputingunit.Variousdisplaysizes(21.5inch,
19inchand15.6inch)andconfigurablecomputerunitsleadtohighest
applicationflexibility.TheVisuNetFLXpanelsaredesignedforZone2/22
andnon-Exapplications.
Usethedeviceonlywithinthespecifiedambienttemperaturerange.
Thedevicemustonlybeoperatedinthespecifiedambienttemperature
rangeandatthespecifiedrelativehumiditywithoutcondensation.
Usethedeviceonlywithinthespecifiedambientandoperatingconditions.
Taketheintendeduseoftheconnecteddevicesfromthecorresponding
documentation.
Thedeviceisanelectricalapparatusforhazardousareas.
Thedeviceisnotsuitableforseparatinghazardousareas.

6. Improper Use
Protectionofthepersonnelandtheplantisnotensuredifthedeviceisnot
usedaccordingtoitsintendeduse.
Thedeviceisnotsuitabletoseparateintrinsicallysafecircuitsfromnon-
intrinsicallysafecircuits.
Thedeviceisnotsuitableforseparatinghazardousareas.
7. Mounting and Installation
Priortomounting,installation,andcommissioningofthedeviceyou
shouldmakeyourselffamiliarwiththedeviceandcarefullyreadthe
instructionmanual.
Usemountingmaterialswhicharesuitabletosecurethedevicesafely.
Usemountingmaterialsthatfitthenatureofthemountingsurface.
Onlyuseaccessoriesspecifiedbythemanufacturer.
Ifmountingtheenclosureonconcreteuseexpansionanchors.When
mountingtheenclosuretoasteelframeworkusevibrationresistant
mountingmaterial.
Ensurethatallfastenersarepresent.
Observethetighteningtorqueofthescrews.
Mountthedeviceinaweatherprooflocation.
Protectthedeviceagainstlong-termorexcessivemechanicalvibrations.
Thedeviceisheavy.Inordertoavoidpersonalinjuriesorproperty
damage,makeappropriateprovisionsforthemountingprocedure.
Donotmountthedeviceatlocationswhereanaggressiveatmosphere
maybepresent.
ObservetheinstallationinstructionsaccordingtoIEC/EN60079-14.
ObservetheinstallationinstructionsaccordingtoIEC/EN60079-25.
Ifthedevicehasalreadybeenoperatedingeneralelectricalinstallations,
thedevicemaysubsequentlynolongerbeinstalledinelectrical
installationsusedincombinationwithhazardousareas.
Ensurethattheequipotentialbondingconnectionsareingoodcondition,
andarenotdamagedorcorroded.
Ensurethattheterminalsareingoodconditionandarenotdamagedor
corroded.
Whenconnectingintrinsicallysafedeviceswithintrinsicallysafecircuitsof
associatedapparatus,observethemaximumpeakvalueswithregardto
explosionprotection(verificationofintrinsicsafety).Observethe
standardsIEC/EN60079-14orIEC/EN60079-25.
Observethecomplianceoftheseparationdistancesbetweentwo
adjacentintrinsicallysafecircuitsaccordingtoIEC/EN60079-14.
Provideatransientprotection.Ensurethatthepeakvalueofthetransient
protectiondoesnotexceed140%oftheratedvoltage.
Thedevicemustbeinstalledandoperatedonlyinacontrolled
environmentthatensuresapollutiondegree2(orbetter)accordingto
IEC/EN60664-1.
Thedevicemustbedisconnectedfromthepowersupplypriorto
installationandmaintenance.Thepowersupplymaybeactivatedonly
afterallthecircuitsrequiredforoperationhavebeenfullyassembledand
connected.
OnlyconnectadevicethatisinaccordancewithIEC/EN60950-1andis
designedassafetyextra-lowprotectivevoltage(SELV)system.
Protectthecircuitagainstovervoltage(e.g.,lightning).
Thedeviceprovidesagroundingterminaltowhichanequipotential
bondingconductorwithaminimumcrosssectionof4mm²mustbe
connected.
Requirements in Relation to Intrinsic Safety
IfcircuitswithtypeofprotectionExiareoperatedwithnon-intrinsically
safecircuits,theymustnolongerbeusedascircuitswithtypeof
protectionExi.
Observethemaximumvaluesofthedevice,whenconnectingthedevice
tointrinsicallysafeapparatus.
Ifyouinstallfurthersuitablemodulesanddevicesinthesystem,keepthe
separationdistancesbetweenallnon-intrinsicallysafecircuitsand
intrinsicallysafecircuitsaccordingtoIEC/EN60079-14.
Circuitsofintrinsicallysafeapparatuscanbeledintohazardousareas,
wherebyspecialattentionmustbepaidtomaintainingseparation
distancestoallnon-intrinsicallysafecircuitsaccordingtotherequirements
inIEC/EN60079-14.
ObservethegroundingrequirementsfortypeofprotectionExiaccording
toIEC/EN60079‑14.
Forintrinsicallysafecircuits,thedielectricstrengthoftheinsulationagainst
otherintrinsicallysafecircuitsandagainsttheshieldmustbe
atleast500VaccordingtoIEC/EN60079-14.
Equipotentialbondingmustbeachievedalongtheintrinsicallysafe
circuits.
Requirements for Cables and Connection Lines
Observethemaximumpermissiblelengthofcablesandconnectionlines.
Thedielectricstrengthoftheinsulationmustbeatleast500Vaccordingto
IEC/EN60079-14.
Observethepermissiblecorecrosssectionoftheconductor.
Theinsulationstrippinglengthmustbeconsidered.
Wheninstallingtheconductorstheinsulationmustreachuptothe
terminal.
