1. Introduction

should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling

2. Safety Instructions

moisture, splashing and dripping liquids. Never put
objects filled with liquids on top of or close to the device.
Never submerge the device into water or any other liquid.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children shall be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Do not cover the device while it is in use.
Do not use near inflammable products or in explosive
atmospheres.

Do not crimp the power cord and protect it against damage.
Warning! If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons

when servicing or maintenance activities are performed. Handle
the power cord by the plug only.
3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman®Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages
of this manual.
Keep this device away from dust and extreme
temperatures.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute
force when operating the device.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage
caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an
unauthorised way will void the warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not
covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for
any ensuing defects or problems.

6. Operation
6.1 Insect Killer
1. Fully charge the unit (5 hours) before using it. Connect the power
adapter to the insect killer, and connect to the mains.
2. Install the device in the darkest place in the room, at a height of 50 to
100 cm above the ground.
3. Close all windows and doors in the room. Switch on the insect killer
function (UV LEDs).
4. Switch off after use.
6.2 Emergency Light
1. Make sure the device is sufficiently charged.
2. Switch on the emergency light function (white LEDs). Press the on-off
switch twice.
3. Switch off after use.
7. Cleaning and Maintenance
Warning! Never touch the metal grid with your bare hands. If you
need to clean the tray, follow the safety instructions carefully.
The cleaning frequency depends on the intensity of use. Check the tray of
the device at least once a week. Clean more often if necessary.

1. Inleiding

Belangrijke milieu-informatie betreffende dit product
Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het
na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan
toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele
batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij
een gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet
dit toestel naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt

2. Veiligheidsvoorschriften
Raak in geen geval het metalen rooster aan en steek geen
metalen voorwerpen in het toestel: elektrocutiegevaar.
Gebruik het toestel enkel binnenshuis. Bescherm het
toestel tegen regen, vochtigheid en opspattende
vloeistoffen. Plaats nooit objecten gevuld met vloeistof op
of naast het toestel.
Dompel het toestel nooit in water of een andere vloeistof.
Dit toestel is niet geschikt voor gebruik door personen (kinderen
inbegrepen) met verminderde fysieke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke
capaciteiten of gebrek aan ervaring en kennis, tenzij zij onder
toezicht staan of instructie hebben gekregen over het gebruik van
het toestel van een persoon die verantwoordelijk is voor hun
veiligheid. Houd toezicht op kinderen om te voorkomen dat ze
met het toestel spelen.
Bedek het toestel niet tijdens het gebruik.

Vermijd gebruik in de buurt van brandbare producten of
explosieve gassen.
De voedingskabel mag niet beschadigd zijn of ingekort worden.
Waarschuwing! Indien de voedingskabel beschadigd is, dan
moet deze door de fabrikant, diens servicedienst, of een
gelijkwaardig bekwaam persoon vervangen worden om gevaar te
voorkomen.
Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact wanneer het toestel niet in
gebruik is of voordat u het toestel reinigt. Houd de voedingskabel
altijd vast bij de stekker en niet bij de kabel.
3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze
handleiding.
Bescherm het toestel tegen stof en extreme temperaturen.
Bescherm tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de
bediening van het toestel.
Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat
gebruiken.
Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aan het apparaat
aanbrengen. Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft
aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder de garantie.
Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt
automatisch bij ongeoorloofd gebruik.
De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde
richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid
afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee
houden.
Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.

6. Gebruik
6.1 Insectenverdelger
1. Laad het toestel volledig op (5 uur) voor u het gebruikt. Sluit de
voedingsadapter aan op het toestel en steek het in het stopcontact.
2. Installeer het toestel op de donkerste plaats in de ruimte, op ongeveer
50 tot 100 cm boven de grond.
3. Sluit alle ramen en deuren. Schakel de insectenverdelger in (uv-leds).
4. Schakel uit na gebruik.
6.2 Noodlamp
1. Zorg ervoor dat het toestel voldoende opgeladen is.
2. Schakel de noodlamp in (witte leds). Druk tweemaal op de aan/uit-
schakelaar.
3. Schakel uit na gebruik.
7. Reiniging en onderhoud
Waarschuwing! Raak in geen geval het metalen rooster aan met
de blote handen. Als u de lade wilt schoonmaken, volg de
veiligheidsvoorschriften nauwkeurig op.
De reinigingsfrequentie hangt af van hoe intensief het apparaat gebruikt
wordt. Controleer het vergaarbakje minstens eenmaal per week. Reinig het
bakje vaker indien nodig.

l'appareil ; non pas le câble.

6. Opération
6.1 Tue-insectes
1. Charger complètement l'appareil (5 heures) avant de l'utiliser.
Connecter l'adaptateur secteur à l'appareil et brancher le sur le réseau
électrique.
2. Installer l'appareil à l'endroit le plus sombre de la pièce, à une hauteur
de 50 à 100 cm.
3. Fermer toutes les fenêtres et portes. Allumer le tue-insectes (LEDs
UV).
4. Éteindre après usage.
6.2 Lampe de secours
1. S'assurer que l'appareil est suffisamment chargé.
2. Allumer l'appareil (LEDs blanches). Appuyer deux fois sur l'interrupteur
ON/OFF.
3. Éteindre après usage.
7. Nettoyage et entretien
Avertissement ! Ne pas toucher la grille métallique avec les
mains. Suivre les instructions avec précision en cas de nettoyage
du casier.
La fréquence de nettoyage dépend de l'intensité d'utilisation. Vérifier le
casier au moins une fois par semaine. Nettoyer plus souvent si nécessaire.

6. Funcionamiento
6.1 Eliminador de insectos
1. Cargue el aparato completamente (5 horas) antes del uso. Conecte el
cable de alimentación y enchufe el aparato a una toma eléctrica
adecuada.
2. Instale el aparato en el lugar más oscuro de la habitación, a una altura
de 50 a 100 cm encima del suelo.
3. Cierre todas las ventanas y puertas en la habitación. Active la función
de eliminador de insectos (LEDs UV).
4. Desactive el aparato después del uso.
6.2 Linterna de emergencia
1. Asegúrese de que el aparato esté suficientemente cargado.
2. Active la función de luz de emergencia (LEDs blancos). Pulse el
interruptor ON/OFF dos veces.
3. Desactive el aparato después del uso.
7. Limpieza y mantenimiento
¡Advertencia! No toque la rejilla metálica con las manos. Siga
cuidadosamente las instrucciones al limpiar la bandeja.
La frecuencia de limpieza depende de la intensidad de uso. Controle la
bandeja por lo menos una vez a la semana. Límpiela más si fuera necesario.

2. Sicherheitshinweise
Berühren Sie niemals das Metallgitter und stecken Sie nie
Metallobjekte in das Gerät: Stromschlaggefahr.
Das Gerät ist nur für den Gebrauch im Innenbereich
geeignet. Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Regen und
Feuchte. Setzen Sie das Gerät keiner Flüssigkeit wie z.B.
Tropf- oder Spritzwasser, aus. Stellen Sie keine mit
Flüssigkeit befüllten Gegenstände auf das Gerät.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder eine andere
Flüssigkeit.
Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch Personen

sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten oder ohne Erfahrung und
Wissen benutzt zu werden, es sei denn, sie werden durch eine für
ihre Sicherheit zuständige Person beaufsichtigt oder erhielten von
ihr Anweisungen, wie das Gerät zu benutzen ist. Das Produkt ist
kein Spielzeug, es gehört nicht in Kinderhände. Lassen Sie in

Decken Sie das Gerät während des Betriebs nicht ab.
Halten Sie das Gerät von brennbaren Produkten oder explosivem
Gas.
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Netzleitung nicht gequetscht werden
kann.
Achtung! Ist der Stromkabel beschädigt, dann soll der Hersteller,
eine Fachkraft oder eine andere geeignete Person das Kabel
ersetzen.
Trennen Sie das Gerät bei Nichtbenutzung und vor jeder
Reinigung vom Netz. Fassen Sie dazu den Netzstecker an der
Grifffläche an und ziehen Sie nie an der Netzleitung.

Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Staub und extremen
Temperaturen.
Vermeiden Sie Erschütterungen. Wenden Sie bei der

Nehmen Sie das Gerät erst in Betrieb, nachdem Sie sich mit seinen
Funktionen vertraut gemacht haben.
Eigenmächtige Veränderungen sind aus Sicherheitsgründen verboten.
Bei Schäden verursacht durch eigenmächtige Änderungen erlischt der
Garantieanspruch.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur für Anwendungen beschrieben in dieser
Bedienungsanleitung Bei falscher Anwendung dieses Gerätes erlischt der
Garantieanspruch.
Bei Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung der Bedienungsanleitung
verursacht werden, erlischt der Garantieanspruch. Für daraus
resultierende Folgeschäden übernimmt der Hersteller keine Haftung.
