Introduction
Philips Beauty has invented a new way of
colouring your hair at home.It is convenient,fast
and clean.With the Color Precise,the colorant is
evenly and safely distributed through the hair to
obtain beautiful results.

Important
◗Read these instructions for use carefully and
look at the illustrations before you start using
the appliance.
◗Always read the instructions that come with
your colorant before you start colouring your
hair.
◗Do not clean the Color Precise under the tap.
◗Keep the Color Precise at a temperature
between 5cC and 35cC.
◗Do not use a Color Diffuser more than once.
◗Always make sure you have an extra set of
batteries at hand in case the batteries of the
Color Precise run out while you are colouring
your hair.
◗Remove the batteries if you are not going to
use the appliance for quite some time.
◗Do not leave the Color Diffuser with colorant
in the appliance after us.Remove and dispose
of it safely immediately.
Before first use
C1Open the cover of the battery compartment.
2Put the batteries in the appliance.
Use 1.5 voltAA Philips Alkaline batteries.
Make sure the + and - indications of the batteries
match the indications in the battery compartment.
3Close the cover of the battery
compartment.
A new set of batteries allows you to use the
appliance for more than 40 colouring sessions.

Preparing for colouring
1Brush or comb your hair with an ordinary
brush or comb to be able to move the
Color Precise through your hair more
easily.
2Wrap a towel round your neck and
shoulders to protect your clothes.
C3Take the Color Precise in your hand and
open the diffuser holder by pressing the
two release buttons simultaneously and
pulling the diffuser holder towards you.
C4Press the reset button to make sure the
disc returns to bottom position in the
housing,otherwise the disposable Color
Diffuser will not fit properly.
C5Place the disposable Color Diffuser in the
diffuser holder.
Make sure the projections on the disposable
Color Diffuser fit exactly into the grooves of the
diffuser holder.
C6Snap the diffuser holder with the Color
Diffuser back onto the Color Precise.
You will hear a click when the diffuser holder
snaps into position properly.
C7To open the disposable Color Diffuser,
turn the lid in the centre of the Color
Diffuser anticlockwise.

Preparing the colorant
1Put on the plastic gloves supplied with the
colorant.
You can use the Color Precise with any
permanent hair colorant on the market.Follow
the mixing instructions and all the other
instructions supplied with the colorant.
C8Start mixing the two components of the
colorant.
Mix the 2 components to a smooth and uniform
mixture without lumps.
C9Fill the disposable Color Diffuser with the
colorant.
C10 Screw the lid back onto the disposable
Color Diffuser again.Make sure it is closed
properly.
C11 Pick up the Color Precise and hold it
horizontally by its handle.The pins of the
Color Diffuser have to point upwards.
Switch the appliance on.
C12 Switch the appliance off as soon as
colorant becomes visible in the holes in
the pins of the Color Diffuser.This can
take 10 - 30 seconds,depending on the
colorant you are using.

The Color Precise is now ready for colouring.
Colouring hair
C1Place the pins of the Color Diffuser in
your hair on top of your head and switch
the Color Precise on.Make slow combing
movements through the hair from the top
of the head downwards.
C2Make sure all the pins of the Color
Diffuser come into contact with the scalp.
3Stop the Color Precise every now and
then by taking your finger off the on/off
button and make circular massaging
movements to distribute the colorant
through your hair evenly and precisely.
C◗The indication marks on the Color Diffuser
tell you how much colorant is left in the
diffuser.
When the colorant has been used up,you will
hear a click when the disc returns to its bottom
position.
4Switch the Color Precise off.
◗Open the diffuser holder by pressing the two
release buttons simultaneously.The Color
Diffuser can now be removed and disposed
of.

Do not use the Color Diffuser a second time.
Residues of colorant used during the previous
colouring session can cause lumps and may
hamper the even distribution of the colorant.
Tips
◗If 100 ml (3.52 fl oz) is not enough to colour
your hair (e.g.because you have long hair),fill
a second,new Color Diffuser with colorant.
C◗There are various methods for colouring hair
that is longer than shoulder length.We advise
you to gather the hair and put it over one
shoulder.Hold the hair with one hand and the
appliance in the other hand to colour the hair
ends.
◗Do not remove the Color Diffuser before you
have coloured your hair completely.
◗When you have used two-thirds of the
colorant,you can use the remaining one-third
to colour any bits you may have missed.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning of the Color Precise guarantees
a better colouring performance.
◗Clean the Color Precise with a dry cloth.If
necessary,you can use a moist cloth.
Do not use abrasives,scourers or liquids such as
alcohol,petrol or acetone to clean the appliance.
Do not rinse the appliance under the tap.

◗You can obtain new disposable colour
diffusers at your local Philips dealer.

Disposable Color Diffuser
C◗The disposable Color Diffuser is made of
100% recyclable plastic.You can simply throw
the Color Diffuser away with the normal
household waste after use.
Batteries
Only dispose of the batteries when they are
completely empty.
Remove the batteries when you discard the
appliance.Do not throw the batteries away with
the normal household waste,but hand them in at
an official collection point.You can also take the
batteries to a Philips Service Centre,which will
dispose of them in an environmentally safe way.

◗Nehmen Sie die Batterien aus dem Gerät,
wenn Sie beabsichtigen,das Gerät längere
Zeit nicht zu benutzen.
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
C1Öffnen Sie den Batteriefach-Deckel.
2Legen Sie die Batterien ein.
Verwenden Sie in diesem Gerät 1,5V AA
Batterien Philips Alkaline.

Achten Sie darauf,dass die Markierung (+) und
(-) auf den Batterien mit den entsprechenden
Markierungen im Batteriefach übereinstimmen.
3Schließen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel.
Mit einem frischen Satz Batterien können Sie
mehr als 40 Colorationen durchführen.
Vorbereitung zum Colorieren
1Bürsten oder kämmen Sie Ihr Haar auf
gewohnteWeise,damit Sie die Stifte des
Geräts mühelos durch Ihr Haar gleiten
können.
2Legen Sie zur Schonung Ihrer Kleidung ein
Handtuch um Hals und Schultern.
C3Nehmen Sie das Gerät zur Hand,und
öffnen Sie den Farbverteilerhalter indem
Sie die beidenAuslösetasten gleichzeitig
drücken und den Farbverteilerhalter auf
sich zu ziehen.
C4Drücken Sie die Rückstelltaste,damit die
Drehscheibe des Farbverteilers im
Gehäuse die unterste Position einnimmt;
sonst würde der Einmal-Farbverteiler nicht
korrekt funktionieren.
C5Setzen Sie den Einmal-Farbverteiler in den
Farbverteilerhalter ein.

Achten Sie darauf,dass die Kerben am Einmal
Farbverteiler genau in den Farbverteilerhalter
hinein passen.
C6Setzen Sie den Farbverteilerhalter wieder
in das Gerät ein.
Wenn der Farbverteilerhalter korrekt eingesetzt
ist,hören Sie ein Geräusch ("Klick").
C7Den Einmal-Farbverteiler öffnen Sie mit
einer Drehung des Deckels in der Mitte
des Farbverteilers entgegen dem
Uhrzeigersinn.
DieVorbereitung der Coloration
1Ziehen Sie die Kunststoff-Handschuhe an,
die mit der Coloration geliefert werden.
Sie können das Gerät mit jeder handelsüblichen
Coloration verwenden.Richten Sie sich bei der
Zubereitung nach den Angaben auf der
Verpackung der Coloration.
C8Beginnen Sie,die beiden Komponenten der
Coloration zu mischen.
Achten Sie darauf,das sich die beiden
Komponenten zu einer gleichförmigen,glatten
Masse ohne Klumpen vermischen.
C9Füllen Sie den Einmal-Farbverteiler mit der
Coloration.

C10 Schrauben Sie den Deckel wieder auf den
Einmal-Farbverteiler.Achten Sie darauf,
dass er ordnungsgemäß verschlossen ist.
C11 Nehmen Sie das Gerät zur Hand,und
halten Sie es waagerecht,die Stifte des
Farbverteilers nach oben weisend.Schalten
Sie das Gerät ein.
C12 Schalten Sie das Gerät aus,sobald die
Coloration in den Öffnungen der Stifte des
Farbverteilers sichtbar wird.Das kann,je
nach dem verwendeten Colorationsmittel,
10 bis 30 Sekunden dauern.
Das Gerät ist nun fertig zum colorieren.
Das Haar Colorieren
C1Setzen Sie die Stifte des Farbverteilers in
der Kopfmitte auf die Kopfhaut,und
schalten Sie das Gerät ein.Bewegen Sie es
mit sanft bürstenden Bewegungen durch
das Haar.
C2Achten Sie darauf,dass alle Stifte des
Farbverteilers mit Ihrer Kopfhaut in
Berührung kommen.
3Nehmen Sie dann und wann den Finger
vom Ein-/Ausschalter,und führen Sie die

Stifte des Farbverteilers bei
ausgeschaltetem Gerät an jeweils einer
Stelle mit kreisenden Bewegungen durch
Ihr Haar,damit sich die Coloration
gründlich und gleichmäßig verteilt.
C◗Die Markierungen auf dem Farbverteiler
zeigen an,wie viel Colorationsmittel noch im
Farbverteiler verblieben ist.
Wenn sich keine Coloration mehr im
Farbverteiler befindet,hören Sie ein Geräusch,das
dadurch entsteht,dass die Scheibe in die
Grundstellung zurückkehrt.
4Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.
◗Öffnen Sie den Farbverteilerhalter indem Sie
die beidenAuslösetasten gleichtzeitig drücken.
Verwenden Sie den Farbverteiler nur ein einziges
Mal.Reste der Coloration können verklumpen
und bei nochmaligerVerwendung verhindern,dass
sich die Coloration gleichmäßig verteilt.
Hinweise
◗Wenn 100 ml zum Colorieren von langem
Haar nicht ausreichen,so füllen Sie einen
zweiten,neuen Farbverteiler mit dem
gleichen Colorationsmittel.
C◗Haar,das länger ist als schulterlang,lässt sich
auf verschiedeneWeise calorieren.Es
empfiehlt sich,das Haar über eine Schulter

zusammenzufassen.Halten Sie es mit einer
Hand und fassen Sie das Gerät mit der
anderen Hand,um die Haarenden zu
Colorieren.
◗Nehmen Sie den Farbverteiler nicht aus dem
Gerät,bevor Sie mit dem Colorieren fertig
sind.
◗Wenn Sie zwei Drittel der Coloration
verbraucht haben,kann der Rest - falls
erforderlich - dazu verwendet werden,das
Haar nachzufärben und die Coloration zu
fixieren.
Reinigung
Regelmäßige Reinigung des Geräts garantiert eine
bessere Coloration.
◗Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem trockenen
Tuch.Bei Bedarf können Sie dasTuch
anfeuchten und ein wenig Spülmittel
auftragen.
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen des Geräts keine
Scheuermittel,keine Scheuerschwämme und
keine Lösungsmittel wieAlkohol,Azeton oder
Benzin.
Spülen Sie das Gerät nicht unter fließendem
Wasser ab.
