Vorbildinformation:
Zu den markantesten Dieselloks auf europäi-
schen Gleisen zählt zweifelsohne die
„NoHAB“. Dabei handelt es sich um einen
Ableger der legendären F-Reihe des US-Her-
stellers EMD, der ab 1954 beim schwedischen
Lizenznehmer Nydqvist och Holm AB, kurz
„NoHAB“, gebaut wurde. Bis 1965 lieferte der
Hersteller 165 Exemplare der liebevoll „Rund-
nasen“ genannten Loks an die Staatsbahnen
in Dänemark, Norwegen und Ungarn. Für die
Staatsbahn Belgiens wurden weitere Exemplare
durch den Hersteller Anglo-Franco-Belge
gefertigt. Die Fahrzeuge unterschieden sich in
verschiedenen Details wie derinstallierten
Motorleistung, teilten aber die Konstruktions-
prinzipien und den formschönen Lokkasten.
Die Loks bewährten sich ausgesprochen gut und
waren in verschiedenen Diensten anzutreffen.
Ihr Einsatz in Dänemark und Belgien währte bis
in die späten 1980er-Jahre, rund zehn Jahre
länger hielten sie sich in Norwegen und Ungarn.
Durch die Liberalisierung des europäischen
Schienenverkehrsmarktes fanden zahlreiche
Loks neue Arbeitsfelder bei privaten Unterneh-
men auch in Deutschland und sind teils noch
heute im kommerziellen Einsatz.
The prototype:
Undoubtedly one of the most distinctive
diesel locomotives on European rails is the
„NoHAB“ diesel. The NoHAB is an offshoot of
the legendary F series, produced after WWII
by US manufacturer EMD. NoHAB locomotives
entered production in 1954 by the Swedish
licensee Nydqvist och Holm AB, or “NoHAB” for
short. By 1965, the manufacturer had delivered
165 of the locomotives, affectionately known
as “round noses,” to the state railroads of
Denmark, Norway, and Hungary. French-Belgian
manufacturer Anglo-Franco-Belge produced
additional copies for the Belgian state railroads.
The locomotives differed in various ways such as
horsepower ratings, but they shared the same
overall design principles and elegant car bodies.
They performed extremely well and could be
found in both passenger and freight service.
NoHABs were used in Denmark and Belgium
until the late 1980s and remained in service
with the Norwegian and Hungarian railroads
a further ten years. Following liberalization of
the European rail transport market, several
NoHAB locomotives found work with private
train operators, including a few in Germany,
where some are still in use today.

L‘une des locomotives diesel les plus marquantes sur
les voies ferrées européennes est sans aucun doute la
„NoHAB“. Il s‘agit d‘un dérivé de la légendaire série
F du constructeur américain EMD, qui a été fabriqué
à partir de 1954 par le licencié suédois Nydqvist och
Holm AB, en abrégé „NoHAB“. Jusqu‘en 1965, le
fabricant a livré 165 exemplaires de ces locomotives
affectueusement appelées „nez ronds“ aux chemins
de fer nationaux du Danemark, de Norvège et de
Hongrie. D‘autres exemplaires ont été fabriqués par
le constructeur Anglo-Franco-Belge pour les chemins
de fer nationaux de Belgique SNCB. Les machines se
différenciaient par différents détails, comme la puis-
sance du moteur installé, tout en partageant les prin-
cipes de construction et la belle forme de caisse de la
locomotive. Les locomotives ont remarquablement
fait leurs preuves et ont fait l’objet de différentes
affectations. Elles sont restées en service au Dane-
mark et en Belgique jusqu‘à la fin des années 1980
et en Norvège et en Hongrie pendant une dizaine
d‘années supplémentaires. Suite à la libéralisation du
marché européen du transport ferroviaire, de nom-
breuses locomotives ont trouvé de nouveaux champs
d‘activité auprès d‘entreprises privées, y compris en
Allemagne, et certaines sont aujourd‘hui encore en
service commercial.

Az európai vasútvonalak egyik legjellegzetesebb,
messziről felismerhető dízelmozdony-típusa a
NoHAB. A mozdony az amerikai EMD legendás
F-sorozatán alapul, melyet licenc alapján kezdett
gyártani a svéd Nydqvist och Holm AB (rövidítve
NoHAB), 1954-ben.
A gyártó 1965-ig összesen 165 mozdonyt
szállított Dánia, Norvégia és Magyarország
államvasútjainak, ill. további példányokat
gyártott egy angol-francia-belga cég a belga
államvasút számára. A mozdonyok részleteikben
- pl. motorteljesítményben - eltértek egymástól,
de a tervezési elvek és a jellegzetes
mozdonyszekrény azonosak voltak.
A mozdonyok remekül beváltak, különböző
országokban teljesítettek szolgálatot; Dániában
és Belgiumban az 1980-as évek végéig,
Norvégiában és Magyarországon kb. egy
évtizeddel tovább voltak rendszerben.
A vasúti szállítási piac liberalizációja után
különböző magánvasúti társaságoknál voltak
megtalálhatók, többek között Németországban
is, ahol jelenleg is üzemel néhány példány.

If used frequently, oil the wheelsets with a drop of non-resinous,
acid-free sewing machine oil! In order to achieve the best possible
running and traction properties, it is advisable to run the locomo-
tive in for 25 minutes forwards and 25 minutes in reverse
without load. Clean rails are essential for good performance.
Ölen Sie bei häufigem Fahrbetrieb die Achslager mit einem Tropfen
harz- und säurefreiem Nähmaschinenöl! Wir empfehlen, die Lok ca.
25 min je Fahrtrichtung ohne Belastung einlaufen zu lassen, damit
das Modell einen optimalen Rundlauf und eine gute Zugkraft er-
hält. Bitte beachten Sie, daß der einwandfreie Lauf des Modells nur
auf sauberen Schienen gewährleistet ist.

Si utilisation fréquente, huilez régulièrement avec une goutte
d’huile fine pour machine à coudre. Nous vous conseillons un
rodage complet de 25 min dans chaque sens pour un roulement
optimal. Il est conseillé de nettoyer régulièrement vos rails pour
un bon fonctionnement.
Gyakori használat esetén érdemes megkenni a tengelyeket
egy csepp sav- és gyantamentes varrógépolajjal. Javasoljuk,
hogy bejáratáskor kb. 25 percig járassuk a gépet terhelés
nélkül, mindkét irányban, így optimalizálva az élettartamot.
A modell megfelelő működése csak tiszta síneken garantált.
