1. Introduction
PLANET announces new H.264 3 Mega-Pixel outdoor infrared vandal proof Internet Camera, the
ICA-5350V, for meeting the next generation demands in worldwide market. The ICA-5350V can
simultaneously provide H.264, MPEG-4 and M-JPEG video streaming in small video size;
therefore it saves you lots of bandwidth usage. Through high performance 3 Mega-Pixel CMOS
sensor, the ICA-5350V delivers high quality image at maximum 2048 x 1536 (QXGA) resolutions
for color images. It is also equipped with 3.0mm to 9.0mm Vari-focal auto iris lens allowing easy
installation and camera angle adjustment for different installed sites.
With built-in 12 IR LED around the lens and the IR-cut filter, the ICA-5350V can provide good
video quality in both day and night surveillance up to 20 meters. The network and analog video
output interfaces are also provided in the ICA-5350V for flexible viewing and recording
implementations.
The ICA-5350V complies with IEEE 802.3af PoE interface for flexible and easy installation in the
ceiling without concerning the outlet / socket locations and thus it further eliminates the need of
power cables and installation costs. In addition, the ICA-5350V supports 2-Way audio that enables
audio communication between local and remote ICA-5350V installed sites by using the external
microphone and adding an external speaker.
The ICA-5350V is the perfect choice for outdoor surveillance system by providing IP-66 certified
water-proof protection. It is designed with vandal-proof and IP66 weather-proof case that can
shield 400 pounds of impact. The vandal-proof design with die-cast aluminum body prevents the
intentional destruction. Water-resistant construction with weather-proof solid housing performs
reliable operation in any environment.
The ICA-5350V can be managed by PLANET Cam Viewer Three, the professional IP-Surveillance
management software that provides monitoring, recording and event management functions for
multi-camera video surveillance applications. The Cam Viewer 3 enables you to setup a
comprehensive and effective surveillance system quickly and easily to protect your property and
life.

Reset
This button is used to restore the all factory default settings. Sometimes
restarting the device will make the system back to a normal state. However, if
the system still got problems after restart, user can restore the factory default
settings and install it again.
Restore the device:
1. While the Camera is ready and then press the button down continuously
2. Hold the button at least 5 seconds and release it. Then the device has been
restored to default settings and reboot again
Note: Restoring the factory default setting will lose the all previous settings
included IP address forever. User needs to run the IPWizard II program to
search the device and configure it to let the device work properly again
10

2.3 Hardware Installation
1. Use the provided L-wrench, loosen the tamper-resistant housing cover (with screws
still attached on the cover). The unit has a factory installed side conduit entry and one
may adjust the cables to back conduit entry according to installation requirement.
2. Set the mounting base onto the wall or ceiling and center it over the mounting hole,
using the supplied two retaining screws to secure the main body.
3. Set the proper image by moving the camera body (some model may be limited by the
PCB board to180°rotational adjustment) and set the focus by turning the lens to the left or
right direction.
4. Connect video output cable (BNC) to a TV monitor. Once the picture appears on the
monitor, adjust the lens wrench to “TELE←→WIDE” of the lens, get the view zoom that
you desire, and then adjust the focus wrench to “NEAR←→FAR” of the lens to obtain the
best clear picture. After adjustment, tighten both wrenches.
11

5. When the camera focus adjustment has been completed, use the provided L-wrench to
fasten the tamper-resistant housing to the main body.
6. Connect the LAN cable to Ethernet’s switch or hub and the DC-Jack to the power
source. And connect the other cables and connectors if necessary.
NOTE: If there has an IEEE802.3af PoE switch in your network, you can connect the
camera LAN cable to this PoE switch to obtain power. The power adapter is
unnecessary when Internet camera is connected to a PoE switch.
NOTE: 1. Only use the power adapter supplied with Internet camera Otherwise, the
product may be damaged.
2. The power adapter is unnecessary when Internet camera is connected to a
PoE switch. Otherwise, the product may be damaged when Internet camera
is connected to a PoE switch and power adapter simultaneously.
