a part of this product. They contain important

Intended use
This laminate/parquet repair kit is intended for
the repair of laminate, parquet, cork and wood
or plastic surfaces. The supplied wax melter is
intended exclusively for the melting of hard wax
suitable for these applications. The appliance is
intended exclusively for domestic use. Do not
use the appliance for commercial or industrial
applications. Use the appliance only in a dry
environment resp. in indoor areas. This appliance
is not intended for any other use or for uses
beyond those detailed. Claims of any kind for
damage resulting from unintended use will not
be accepted. The user alone bears the risk.

Handling batteries
WARNING
Risks from uses other than those
intended! There is a risk of explosions
and leakage!
For the safe handling of batteries, take note of
the following safety instructions:
► Do not throw batteries into a fire.
► Never short-circuit batteries.
► Do not attempt to recharge batteries.
► Regularly check the condition of the batteries.
Leaking battery acid can cause permanent
damage to the appliance. Special caution
should be exercised when handling damaged
or leaking batteries. There is a risk of receiv-
ing acid burns! Wear protective gloves.
► Store batteries in a place inaccessible to
children. If a battery should be swallowed,
seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY.
► If you do not intend to use the appliance for
an extended period, remove the batteries.
Basic safety instructions
For safe handling of the appliance, follow the
safety information below:
■ Before use, check the appliance for visible
external damage. Do not take into use a
damaged appliance or one that has been
dropped.
■ Do not make any unauthorised modifications
or alterations to the appliance.
■ This appliance is not intended for use by
individuals (including children) with restricted
physical, physiological or intellectual abilities
or deficiencies in experience and/or knowl-
edge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or receive instruc-
tions from this person on how the appliance
is to be used.

■ Avoid unintentional operation of the wax
melter. Ensure that the wax melter is switched
off before lifting or carrying it.
■ On ceasing work, always switch the wax
melter off with the slide switch (position OFF)
when you put it down.
■ Avoid skin contact with the wax melter tip and
protect yourself against dripping wax. There is
a risk of burns!

NOTICE
► Check the contents to ensure that everything
is available and for signs of visible damage.
► If the contents are not complete, or are dam-
aged due to defective packaging or through
transportation, contact the Service Hotline
(see chapter Service).
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance against
transport damage. The packaging materials are
selected from the point of view of their environ-
mental friendliness and disposal technology and
are therefore recyclable. The recirculation of
packaging into the material circuit saves on raw
material and reduces the amount of waste gener-
ated. Dispose of packaging material that is no
longer needed as per the regionally established
regulations.

Battery insertion/exchange
This wax melter requires 2 x 1.5 V batteries, type
AA/LR6/Mignon, for operation.
♦ Open the battery compartment on the
underside of the wax melter .
♦ Place the batteries into the battery compart-
ment , following the polarity details as
depicted in it.
♦ Close and secure the battery compartment.

Handling and operation
In this chapter you will receive important infor-
mation for the handling and operation of the
appliance.
Switching the appliance on/off
♦ To switch the appliance on, place the On/
Off switch at the position "ON".
♦ Press and hold the activation button to
heat up the wax melter tip .
♦ To switch the appliance off, place the On/
Off switch at the position "OFF".
Application example
Preparation (Fig. A)
♦ Clean the damaged area with the spatula
and remove all loose parts. Press the edges
of the damaged area round.
Colour selection (Fig. B)
♦ Select the matching colour tone.
Ensure that several colour tones, from light to
dark, are always used. With real wood, it is
recommended to additionally work with trans-
parent (K), so as to achieve a sense of depth.

Melting and filling (Figs. C + D)
♦ Place the On/Off switch at the position
"ON" to switch the appliance on.
♦ Press and hold the activation button to
heat up the wax melter tip .
♦ Now melt small portions of the hard wax and
place them into the damaged area, until it is
slightly overfilled. Start with the light colour
tones and progress step by step to the dark
colour tones.
NOTICE
► At pressure points it is often sufficient if you
use only the transparent hard wax (K).
Filling (Fig. E)
♦ For vertical surfaces it is recommended to mix
the colour tone beforehand, collect it on the
spatula and then fill the damaged area.
When working on curved areas the scraper
with curvature should be used to fill hard
wax into the damaged area.
Smoothing (Fig. F)
♦ Allow the hard wax to cool for a few seconds
(about 10 seconds).
♦ After cooling, smooth any protrusion with the
planing grooves of the scraper . Use only
light pressure to smooth the protrusion.
Fine matching (Fig. G)
♦ For fine matching, now imitate the grain struc-
ture with a darker colour tone.
♦ Subsequently, again smooth any protrusion
with the planing grooves of the scraper .
Degreasing (Fig. H)
♦ To finish, remove the last hard wax residues
with the sanding sponge . Thereby the
gloss level of the surface will also be simulta-
neously matched. Job done!
Cleaning the planer grooves (Fig. I)
♦ Place the cleaning scraper on the cooled
wax melter tip and scrape the wax resi-
dues from the plane grooves.

Cleaning
CAUTION
Damage to the appliance!
► Ensure that, when cleaning it, no moisture can
penetrate into the appliance, so as to avoid
irreparable damage to it.
► Do not use chemical or abrasive cleaning
agents. These could damage the housing.
♦ Clean the wax melter and the wax melter
tip with the cleaning cloth only when
they have cooled down.
Storage
If you do not intend to use the appliance for an
extended period of time, remove the batteries.
Store all parts of the Laminate/Parquet Repair Kit
in the storage case and at a clean, dry location
out of direct sunlight.

Disposal
Disposal of the appliance
Do not dispose of the appliance in your
normal domestic waste. This product
is subject to the provisions of Euro-
pean Directive 2002/96/EC-WEEE
(Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment).
Dispose of the appliance through an approved
disposal centre or at your community waste facil-
ity. Please pay heed to the currently applicable
regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your
waste disposal centre.
Disposing of the batteries
Do not dispose of the batteries with domestic
waste. Every consumer is statutorily obliged to
dispose of batteries/rechargeable batteries
at a collection point in their community/district
or to a dealer.
This obligation is intended to ensure that batteries
are disposed of in an environmentally responsible
manner. Dispose of batteries only when they are
fully discharged.

aparat.
Aţi decis să alegeţi un produs de cea mai înaltă
calitate. Instrucţiunile de utilizare fac parte inte-
grantă din acest produs. Acestea cuprind infor-
maţii importante privind siguranţa, utilizarea
şi eliminarea aparatului. Înainte de utilizarea
aparatului, familiarizaţi-vă cu toate indicaţiile de
operare şi de siguranţă. Utilizaţi acest produs
numai în modul descris şi numai în scopurile
menţionate. Păstraţi cu grijă aceste instrucţiuni de
utilizare. În cazul în care înmânaţi aparatul altei
persoane, predaţi de asemenea şi documentele
aferente acestuia.

Utilizarea conform destinaţiei
Setul pentru reparaţii laminat/parchet este destinat
reparării suprafeţelor din materile laminate, parchet,
plută, lemn și material plastic. Topitorul de ceară
inclus în setul de livrare este destinat exclusiv pen-
tru topirea cerii dure adecvate pentru aceasta.
Aparatul este destinat exclusiv pentru utilizare
privată. Nu utilizaţi aparatul în scopuri comer-
ciale sau industriale. Utilizaţi aparatul numai în
medii uscate, respectiv în interior. Orice altă utili-
zare este considerată a fi neconformă. Pretenţiile
de orice natură născute în urma deteriorărilor
sau utilizării neconforme sunt excluse. Riscul este
suportat în totalitate de utilizator.

Manipularea bateriilor
AVERTIZARE
Pericol din cauza utilizării neconforme!
Pericol de explozie şi de scurgere!
Pentru manipularea bateriilor în siguranţă,
respectaţi următoarele indicaţii de siguranţă:
► Nu aruncaţi bateriile în foc.
► Nu scurtcircuitaţi bateriile.
► Nu încercaţi să reîncărcaţi bateriile.
► Verificaţi în mod regulat bateriile. Bateriile din
care se scurge acid pot cauza daune perma-
nente ale aparatului. Fiţi deosebit de atenţi
atunci când manipulaţi bateriile deteriorate
sau din care s-a scurs acid. Pericol de rănire!
A se purta mănuşi de protecţie.
► A nu se lăsa bateriile la îndemâna copiilor.
În caz de înghiţire apelaţi imediat la un medic.
► Dacă nu utilizaţi aparatul o perioadă mai
lungă de timp, scoateţi bateriile.
Indicaţii de bază privind siguranţa
Respectaţi următoarele indicaţii privind siguranţa,
pentru o manipulare sigură a acestui aparat:
■ Înainte de utilizare verificaţi dacă aparatul
prezintă defecţiuni exterioare vizibile. Nu
folosiţi aparatul dacă a căzut jos sau dacă
este defect.
■ Nu efectuaţi schimbări neautorizate sau
modificări ale aparatului.
■ Acest aparat nu este destinat utilizării de către
persoane (inclusiv copii) cu abilităţi fizice, sen-
zoriale sau mentale limitate sau cu experienţă
şi/sau cunoştinţe limitate, cu excepţia cazului
în care sunt supravegheate de către o persoană
responsabilă cu siguranţa lor sau au primit
instrucţiuni de la aceasta privind modul de
utilizare a aparatului.
■ Copiii trebuie supravegheaţi, pentru a împiedi-
ca utilizarea aparatului ca jucărie.
■ Protejaţi aparatul împotriva umezelii şi infiltrării
lichidelor.
■ Nu utilizaţi aparatul în apropierea flăcărilor
deschise (de ex. lumânări).
■ A se evita radiaţia solară directă.
■ A se evita o punere accidentală în funcţiune a
topitorului de ceară. Asiguraţi-vă că topitorul
de ceară este oprit înainte de a-l lua sau a-l
transporta.

■ Opriţi topitorul de ceară întotdeauna de la
comutatorul culisant (poziţia OFF), dacă îl
lăsaţi din mână.
■ Evitaţi contactul dintre piele și vârful topitorului
de ceară și protejaţi-vă de picăturile de ceară.
Pericol de ardere!
Punere în funcţiune
PERICOL
La punerea în funcţiune a aparatului pot
apărea vătămări şi pagube materiale!
► Nu este permisă utilizarea materialeor pentru
ambalare la joacă. Pericol de asfixiere.
Livrarea şi verificarea transportului
Standard, setul de reparaţii pentru suprafeţe
laminate/parchet este livrat cu următoarele
componente:
▯ Topitor de ceară
▯ Răzuitor de curăţat
▯ Spatulă cu funcţie de rindea
▯ Spatulă cu rotunjire
▯ 11 tije de ceară dură
▯ Burete de șlefuire
▯ Lavetă de curăţare
▯ 2 x baterii de 1,5 V, tip AA/LR6/Mignon
▯ Valiză pentru păstrare
▯ Aceste instrucţiuni de utilizare
INDICAŢIE
► Verificaţi dacă furnitura este completă şi dacă
prezintă deteriorări vizibile.
► În cazul în care furnitura este incompletă sau
dacă există defecţiuni din cauza unui ambalaj
deteriorat sau a transportului, apelaţi linia
telefonică directă de service (vezi capitolul
Service).
Eliminarea ambalajelor
Ambalajul protejează aparatul împotriva deterio-
rărilor în timpul transportului. Materialele de am-
balat sunt selectate ţinând seama de compatibili-
tatea lor cu mediu şi de aspectele tehnice privind
eliminarea, fiind astfel reciclabile. Reintroducerea
ambalajelor în circuitul de materiale contribuie la
economia de materie primă şi reduce cantitatea
de deşeuri. Eliminaţi materialele de ambalare de
care nu mai aveţi nevoie conform regulamentelor
locale în vigoare.

Introducerea/schimbarea bateriilor
Topitorul de ceară funcţionează cu ajutorul a
2 baterii de 1,5 V tip AA/LR6/Mignon.
♦ Deschideţi compartimentul pentru baterii de
pe partea inferioară a topitorului de ceară .
♦ Introduceţi bateriile respectând polaritatea
marcată pe aparat, în compartimentul pentru
baterii .
♦ Închideţi la loc compartimentul de baterii.

Acest capitol cuprinde indicaţii importante cu
privire la operarea şi funcţionarea aparatului.
Pornirea / oprirea aparatului
♦ Setaţi întrerupătorul pornit/oprit la poziţia
ON, pentru a porni aparatul
♦ Apăsaţi și menţineţi apăsat butonul de acti-
vare , pentru a încălzi vârful topitorului de
ceară .
♦ Setaţi întrerupătorul pornit/oprit la poziţia
OFF, pentru a opri aparatul.
Exemplu
Pregătirea (fig. A)
♦ Curăţaţi punctul de deteriorare cu spatula și
îndepărtaţi tot ceea ce se desprinde. Încercuiţi
marginea deteriorării.
Alegerea culorii (fig. B)
♦ Selectaţi tonurile de culoare potrivite.
Aveţi în vedere faptul că se pot utiliza întot-
deauna mai multe nuanţe, de la deschis până
la întunecat. În cazul lemnului natur se reco-
mandă suplimentar să lucraţi cu transparent
(K), pentru a obţine un efect în profunzime.

Topirea și umplerea (fig. C + D)
♦ Setaţi întrerupătorul pornit/oprit la poziţia
ON, pentru a porni aparatul.
♦ Apăsaţi și menţineţi apăsat butonul de acti-
vare , pentru a încălzi vârful topitorului de
ceară .
♦ Topiţi acum porţiuni mici de ceară dură și
lipiţi-le pe punctele de deteriorare, până când
acestea sunt ușor umplute peste margine. În-
cepeţi mai întâi cu tonuri de culoare deschise și
evoluaţi pas cu pas către cele mai întunecate.
INDICAŢIE
► În cazul suprafeţelor care au coborât ușor
este suficient adesea să se utilizeze ceara
transparentă (K).
Lucrul cu spatula (fig. E)
♦ În cazul suprafeţelor verticale se recomandă
amestecarea tonului de culoare în avans și
aplicarea acestuia prin umplere cu spatula.
În timpul lucrului la nivelul rotunjirilor trebuie
utilizată spatula cu rotunjire pentru umplerea
deteriorărilor cu ceară dură.
Îndepărtarea excesului (fig. F)
♦ Lăsaţi ceara dură să se răcească câteva
secunde (cca 10 s).
♦ După ce s-a răcit, îndepărtaţi excesul cu
dispozitivul de rindeluit al spatulei . Nu
exercitaţi forţă excesivă la îndepărtarea
excesului.
Finisarea (fig. G)
♦ Pentru finisare, apelaţi acum la o textură cu
un ton de culoare mai închis.
♦ Îndepărtaţi apoi excesul din nou cu ajutorul
dispozitivului de rindeluire al spatulei .
Degresarea (fig. H)
♦ Îndepărtaţi la final și ultimele resturi de ceară,
cu ajutorul buretelui de șlefuire . Astfel se
adaptează concomitent și gradul de strălucire
a suprafeţei. Aţi terminat!
Curăţarea dispozitivului de rindeluit
(fig. I)
♦ Puneţi răzuitorul de curăţat pe vârful răcit al
topitorului de ceară și îndepărtaţi resturile
de ceară de pe acesta.
