ARMINGTHESYSTEM(CHANNEL1):ACTIVE
1. Turnofftheengine,exitthevehicle,andcloseandlockalldoors,hood,andtrunk.
2. PressandreleasetheARMINGbuttononthekeychaintransmitter. Thesirenwill"chirp"
once,thevehicle'sparkinglightswillflashonce,thedoorswilllock(optional),andthe
dashmountedLEDwillbegintoslowlyflash.
WARNING! Excessive pressure on the transmitter button will damage the internal
componentsonthecircuitboard. Allthatisrequiredisalightpushtothebutton.
NOTE: Ifthesiren"chirped"threetimeswhenARMING,thenoneoftheentrypoints(hood,
trunk,doors)hasbeenleftopened. ClosingtheHood,trunk,ordoorwillcorrectthe
problem,andyouDONOThavetodisarmthesystemtomakethecorrection.
ARMINGTHESYSTEM(CHANNEL1):PASSIVE
1. Turnofftheengine,exitthevehicle,closeandlockalldoors,hoodandtrunk.
2. ThedashmountedLEDwillbeginflashingrapidly,indicatingthatthesystemisautomati-
cally(passive)arming. Asanaddedconvenience,theautomaticpassivearmingwillnot
beginuntilalldoorsandtrunklidareclosed,allowingpassengerstoexitthevehicleat
theirconvenience.
3. In30seconds,youwillhearasingle,short"chirp"fromthesiren,andthevehicle'sparking
lampswillflashonetime,indicatingthesystemisARMED. Atthistime,thedashmounted
LEDwillbegintoflashslowly,providingavisualindicationthatthesystem isfullyARMED.
3a. Iftheoptionaldoorlockinterfacehasbeeninstalled,thedoorsWILLNOTautomatically
lockwhenthe30secondarmingtimeexpires.
4. IfyouwishtoARMthesystemimmediately,simplypressandreleasethebuttononthe
keychaintransmitter. Thesirenwill"chirp"once,thedoorswilllock(optional),andthe
dashmountedLEDwillbegintoslowlyflash.
PROTECTIONWHILETHESYSTEMISARMED:
1. Openinganydoor,hood,ortrunkwillcausethealarmtoimmediatelysound.Thesiren
willcontinuetosoundfor30seconds,thenstopandautomaticallyre-armthevehicle.
Ifthepotentialthiefleftadooropened,thesirenwillsoundforsix30secondcycles,then
re-armandignoretheopeneddoor.
2. Any strong vibration such that would be created by breaking a window or damage
caused by a vehicle hitting your's will cause the alarm's shock sensor to trigger the
system. Thesiren will continue tosound for 30seconds.
3. Wheneverthesystemisarmed,theReddashmountedLEDindicatorwillslowlyflash.
Thisserves asa visualdeterrent tothepotential thief. TheLED isa very lowcurrent
bulb, and will not cause the vehicle’s battery to drain, even when left unattended for
extendedperiods.
4. Ifthestartercutrelay(optional)isinstalled,wheneverthesystemisarmed,thevehicle’s
starterwillbebypassed. Ifathiefshouldchoosetoignorethesiren,thevehiclecannot
bestarted.
5. Wheneverthesystemistriggered,thevehicle'sparkinglightswillflashforthe30second
alarmcycle,attractingaddedvisualattentiontothevehicle.

1. Asyouapproachthevehicle,pressandreleasethebuttononthekeychaintransmitter.
WARNING! Excessive pressure on the transmitter buttons will damage the internal
componentsonthecircuitboard. Allthatisrequiredisalightpushtothebutton.
2. Thesirenwill “chirp”2timesandthevehicle'sparkinglamps willflashtwo times.
a) Ifthedoorlockinterface(optional)isinstalled,thevehicle’sdoorswillautomatically
unlock.
3A. ACTIVE:ThedashmountedLEDwillturnoff,andremainoffuntilthesystemisarmed.
3B. PASSIVE: Neverattempttodisarmthesystemfromadistancethatpreventsyoufrom
opening adoorwithin30seconds. Sincethesystemisprogrammedforpassivearming,
itwillbegintore-armuntiladoorisopened.Openingthedoorwillsuspendthepassive
armingcycle.
INTRUSIONWARNINGSIGNALS:
Thesystemwillinformyou ifanintrusion attempthas occurredwhileyou wereaway from
thevehicle.Ifanintrusionattempthasoccurred,thesirenwill“chirp”4timeswhendisarming
thesystem. EnterthevehicleandobservethedashmountedLEDforfurtherinformation.
1. IftheLEDisflashingonetime...pause...onetime...etc.,thenanintrusionattemptwas
madetoalightactivatedentrypoint,orthepluginshocksensorwasactivated.
2. If the LED is flashing two times...pause...two times...etc., then an intrusion attempt
wasmadetothehood,trunk,oranyoptionalsensorsthatwereaddedto thevehicle.
3.IftheLEDisflashingthreetimes...pause...threetimes...etc.,thenanintrusionattempt
wasmade throughoneof thevehicles doors.
Theseintrusionwarningindicatorsarestoredinthesystem’smemory,andwillonlybeerased
frommemorywhentheignitionkeyisturnedon.
VALET/SYSTEMOVERRIDESWITCH:
The“Valet”switchallowsyoutotemporarilybypassallalarmfunctions,eliminatingtheneed
tohandyourtransmittertoparkingattendantsorgaragemechanics.Whenthesystemisin
thevalet mode, allalarm functions arebypassed, however, theremote panic featureand
remotedoorlocks(optional)willremainoperational.Tousethevaletmode;
1. Enterthevehicleandturntheignitionkeytothe“on”position.
2. Movethevalettoggleswitchtothe“on”position. ThedashmountedLEDwillturnonsolid,
and remainonaslongasthesystemisinthevaletmode.
3. Toreturntonormaloperation,movethevaletswitchtothe“off”positionanytimetheignition
ison.
Intheeventyouloseyourtransmitter,orifthetransmitterfailstodisarmthesystem,thevalet
switchcanbeusedasasystemoverrideswitch.Openthecardoor(thealarmWILLsound).
Turntheignitionkeyon,andmovethevaletswitchtothe“on”position. Thealarmwillstop
sounding,andthevehiclecannowbe started.
NOTE: AlwaysremembertomovetheValetSwitchbacktothe”off”position. Thiswillensure
thatthevehicleremainsprotectedatalltimes.

ELIMINATINGTHEARM/DISARMCHIRPS:
Thenormalarminganddisarmingconfirmation"chirps"caneasilybeturnedonandoffusing
thevalet toggleswitch. To dothis...
1. The valet switchmust bein "off" position.
2. Turntheignitionkeyon,andthenoff.
3. Within 10secondsofturningtheignitionkeyoff,move thevalettoggleswitchtothe
on-off-on-off-on-then off position.
4a. If, before proceeding with step 1, the chirps were on, then you will hear 2 chirps to
indicatethatthechirpshavebeenturnedoff.
4b.If,beforeproceedingwithstep1,thechirpswereoff,thenyouwillhear1chirptoindicate
thatthechirpshavebeenturnedon.
5. Wheneverpowertothesystemisdisconnected(forrepairorserviceofthevehicle),
the chirps will be active when power is re-connected. To turn the chirps off, simply
execute1-3above.
Note: Wheneverthechirpsareby-passed,the3chirpdefectand4chirpintrusionindicator
willalwaysoperate.Thisfeaturewillalwayswarnyouifthereisadefectivesensor
duringthearmingsequenceorifthevehiclehadbeentamperedwithinyourabsence,
evenifthenormalarminganddisarmingchirpshavebeenturnoff.
REMOTEPANICOPERATION(CHANNEL1):
Thearmingbuttononyourkeychaintransmitteralsofunctionsasa“panic”switchforinstant
activationofthealarminemergencysituations. Tousetheremotepanicswitch;
1.Pressandholdthebuttononthekeychaintransmitterfor3secondsormore.Thealarm
willimmediatelysound.
2.Tostopthealarm,pressandreleasethebuttononthekeychaintransmitter.Ifthebutton
isnotpressed,thealarmwillautomaticallystopafter30seconds.
WARNING: Excessive pressure on the transmitter buttons will damage the internal
componentsonthecircuitboard. Allthatisrequiredisalightpushtothebutton.
TRUNKRELEASE(CHANNEL2):
This security system has an additional feature that can be wired to a number of different
optionalaccessories. Someofthemorecommonusesforthis"channel"are:
RemoteTrunkRelease-availableforanyvehiclewithfactoryinstalledelectronicpush-button
trunkrelease.
RemoteCarStarter-availableformostautomatictransmission,fuelinjectedvehicles.
RemoteWindowRollUp-availableformostvehiclesequippedwithpowerwindows.
Toactivatetheoptionalaccessory:
1. Pressandholdthe2ndbuttononthekeychaintransmitterforapproximately3
seconds.
NOTE:Thisfeaturewillnotoperatewhenthevehicle'signitionkeyisturned"ON".
