When powering up yoursystem,firstturnonthemechanicalswitchofthepowersupply(if
one isprovided),thenpushoncethepowerbutton.Whenpoweringoff thesystem,you
needn’tturnoff themechanicalswitch,justPushonce*thepowerbutton.
Note:*Ifyou change“soft-off byPWR-BTTN”fromdefault“Instant-off”to“Delay

Setting JP6open (default)candisconnectthe3.3VSBvoltagetoPCIslots.Thiscan prevent
the mainboardfrombeing damaged ifyouaddorremoveexpansioncardswithoutunpluging
the ACpowersupply.However,ifyouwanttousethe PCI2.2specificationcompliant
expansioncardstowakeupthesystem,forexample,anetworkcardwhichsupports
wake-uponLANfunctionbutwithouttheWOLheader,you mustsetJP6asclosed.Inorder
toimplementthisfunction,“PowerOnonPCIcard”shouldalsobe enabledin“Power
Managementsetup”sectionoftheBIOS
SelectionofFrontSideBus(JFSB1,JFSB2)
Therearetwojumpers(JFSB1and JFSB2)onthemainboardproviding userswithanoption
toselect66/100MHzFrontSideBus.Refertothe chartbelowforthelocationofthesetwo
jumpers,and thetableforinformationonhowtosetthem.
IfsettingCPUFSBasAuto,thesystemdetectstheFSBautomatically.If settingCPUFSBas
100MHz,thesystemwillrunat100MHzFSBnomatterwhattype ofprocessorisused.With
the systemalreadyusing100MHzFSBprocessor,settingCPUFSBas100MHzenablesthe
systemtoachievehigherperformance.Pleasenote,whetherornotyoursystemcanbe
overclockeddependson yourprocessor’scapability.Wedonotguaranteethe overclocking
systemtobestable.

wanting tousethisfunction,setJKBwithpin1&pin2closed.Otherwise,setJKB withpin2
&pin3 closedfordisabling thisfunction.
Inordertoimplementthisfunction,set“POWERONFunction”toPassword/Buttonor
Passwordandsetthekeyboardpower-onpasswordinthe“INTEGRATEDPERIPHERALS”
sectionoftheBIOS.Fordetailedinformation,seetheexplanationsin“INTERGATEDPERIPH-
ERALS”section ofBIOSpart.
