DESCRIPTION
Before operating your loader, please read this manual
carefully; failure to do so may jeopardize its efficient
running and could result in a breakdown.
Separate mounting instructions are supplied with
subframes, valves and hydraulic connections, which are
dependent on the tractor model used.
This loader is quick-coupled to the System US subfra-
mes, which are available for a large number of tractor
models (and sizes), from various manufacturers.
A subframe kit (Illus. 1) contains all the parts needed to
attach the loader to the tractor, as well as grill guards*
(A). The subframe sets are of different types, e.g. with
or without* extensions (B) to the tractor rear axle.

The loader could be connected to the tractor hydraulics
with the aid of a hydraulic set, Illus. 2, that contains a
control valve with MONO Handle Device and necessary
connections, or with the aid of a hose set, Illus.3, to be
connected to the original valves of the tractor. In those
cases where a hose set is mounted, the tractor shall be
equipped with two double acting valves.
The loader can, if required, be equipped with Electrical
valves for further hydraulic connections.
* Depending on tractor- and loader model.

DESCRIPTION
All ALÖ implements type EURO (8)' (Illus.6) will fit this
loader. However the implement size must be compati-
ble with the loader and the type of work to be carried
out.
The loader can also be equipped with a EURO-
COMBI-tool carrier, allowing mounting of implements
with
attachments type ÅLÖ (3) and SMS (5). See illus. 4
resp. 5.
Automatic implement locking when the implement is
tilted backwards. (CLICK-ON)
Supplementary equipment is available for hydraulic
attaching and detaching of implements.

IDENTIFICATION
The machine plate of the loader, which is placed on the
right bearing box ( illus.14), shows loader model, type,
production date (year / month), serial number, weight
(excl. attachment) and the reference number.
Always state serial number and loader model when it
comes to service questions and spare parts
requirements.
Cylinders, valves, control cables* and hoses are also
generally provided with machine plates or punched /
printed reference numbers.
* When ordering control cables, please indicate length
(L) and valve make.

- Lifting and transportation of people is forbidden.
- Use caution when driving with loader in lifted
position under electric cables - DANGER ! !
- Always check that no people stay in the working area.
- See to it that necessary electric- and warning signs,
according to law, function when driving on public high-
ways.
- Turn off the tractor and reduce the oil pressure with the
aid of the control valve before disassembling couplings
ortakingothermeasuresinthehydraulicsystem-During
high pressure oil could cause serious damages.
- Never leave the loader in lifted position.
- If an oil leakage is discovered at couplings, or due to a
damaged hose, this must immediately be dealt with.
- Mount stop device*, acc. to illus. 15, before carrying out
service works with lifted loader beam.
- Checkandsecureallscrewsregularlyifnecessary.This
isparticularlyimportantwhenitcomestotheboltsfixing
the subframes to the tractor body.
- Whenparkingtheloader,animplement (abucket,afork
etc.) shall be attached. Also see to it that the ground is
reasonably firm and plane.

SAFETY REGULATIONS
This symbol indicates an important safety
regulation.
Faulty use of the equipment could cause serious
damages on man and property - therefore please
observe the following:
- Carefully learn the function of operating controls,
attachment of implements etc. before starting to use the
loader. It is also your duty to instruct other persons who
are allowed to use the loader.
Safety Block: The control device is equipped with a
catch, see illus.16, page 211, which, in locking position
(left), prevents involuntary operating.
- The tractor shall be equipped with sufficient counter-
weight to ensure the stability of the tractor.
Please get in touch with your dealer !
- Always check, when changing implements, that the
implement is properly locked in position by pushing the
front part of the implement against the ground.
- Loaded implements shall be transported as low as
possible.
- Do not transport round bales or other material with
implements, not aimed for this purpose. In lifted position
the load could tip backwards over the driver.
The tractor shall be equipped with a rollover protective
structure (ROPS) and a falling-object protective
structure (FOPS).
- It is forbidden to stay under lifted loader except when
it is blocked with a mechanical stop device*. Unintentio-
nal touch of control device or leakage in the hydraulic
system might cause sudden movement.

CHECK LIST
When the loader has been mounted - carefully check
that everything works properly before starting to use it.
Always check the following points. Tick off one by one
and make adjustments, if necessary.
1.Check that everything has been mounted according
to the mounting instructions.
2.Check that the necessary counter-weight is available
considering implements and field of application.
3.Check that all screws are secured.
4.Check that the front wheels run free from loader and
subframe at max. turning angle and oscillation - if
NOT, mount front axle stop pieces or limit the turning
angle.
5.Test run of loader.
6.Check that there is no oil leakage.
7.Check oil level in tractor - if necessary, re-fill.
8.When attaching an implement, check that the locking
pins cam in.
9.Check that there are no visible damages on the
loader.

Check that the markings on the accessory boxes
correspond with those on loader and subframe.
Except specifying details on the tractor model, the
transfer on the subframe accessory box also indica-
tes number of packages included in the set as well
as Part Numbers. Check this information.
Read enclosed instructions before attempting to
attach the loader.
Attach the subframe and connect the valve or the
hose set of the loader to the tractor’s hydraulic
system according to instruction.
FITTING SUBFRAME & LOADER TO TRACTOR
Lift the loader on to the subframe (Illus.19.).
Attach the retaining forks (see illus.18 (A) and tighten
screws (B).
A key is supplied with the loader (in the cross pipe of
the loader).
The control device of the valve is to be connected to
the valve (if one is mounted) so that the loader beam
is lifted when the lever is brought backwards.
The control device is equipped with a mechanic
catch, that, if connected, prevents an uncontrolled
operation.

MOUNTING
Pass the hydraulic hoses (fig.28) through the U-bolt
under the beam.
Connect the hoses to the valve, if such is mounted,
acc. the colour marking (fig 27).
Connect the valve control device to the valve so that
the beam is lifted when the lever is brought backwards.
The control device is equipped with a mechanical
catch, which, in locking position, prevents involuntary
operating.
WARNING: The loader valve must always be mounted
with a return hose to tank. If this hose is coupled in
such a way that pressure is obtained, the valve will be
damaged.
Mount the level indicator, Illus. 26, on the bucket ram.
Adjustments are made with an implement attached. The
indicator can be mounted on left alt. right side.
Lift the front of the tractor and check that its wheels and
mudguards are free from loader and subframe at max.

Since the loader has been tested on tractors of a certain
type (see Mounting Brackets List) as concerns the
hydraulics, cabs, wheel size, mudguards etc., this
means that use with tractors other than these may need
special measures to be taken when attachment is
made.
REMARK !
Applies to certain loader models:
If you drive a tractor with big front wheels on extremely
rough ground with lowered loader beam, this may lead
to the wheels interfering with the upper part of the
support legs at max. turning angle. In such cases the
support legs should be demounted.

ATTACHING / DETACHING OF LOADER
Place tractor and loader on even and solid
ground.
Attach an implement to the loader.

- Tip the implement forwards and lower the beam so
that the front part of the implement lies close to the
ground and the rear part about 10-15 cms above the
ground.
- Lower the support legs (remove locking spring and
turn support leg outwards)
- Adjust the length of the stay so that the lower part of
the support leg is about 5 cm above the ground (the
adjustment shall be carried out in such a way that the
support legs get equally long).
- Secure the stay under the support leg with the aid of
the locking spring (with the same implement mounted
it's enough to adjust the length of the stay at the first
detaching)
- Loosen the retaining forks and remove the pins (one
on each side).

- Lower the loader beam so that the lift rams get comp-
letely compressed.

- Turn the implement carefully upwards. The back of
the loader will then raise and come loose from
subframe. Interrupt the movement when the back of the
loader is raised 5-10 cm. If the loader doesn't come
loose then drive the tractor carefully forwards a couple
of inches.
- Stop the tractor and eliminate the oil pressure to the
loader rams with the aid of the control valve or the float
function.
- Disconnect hoses and put dust caps on quick-coup-
lings.
- Reverse the tractor carefully until it’s completely free
from the loader.
-NOTE !! Make sure that the hoses don't get caught
on the tractor.
- When attaching the loader, these instructions are to
be carried out in reverse order. Should you have
difficulties to connect the quick-couplings, then the oil
pressure has not been eliminated according the above.
The attaching / detaching is facilitated if the contact
surfaces between the subframes and the loader bearing
boxes are greased.
WARNING: Never hit the valve cone. This could
damage the quick-coupling by preventing it from ope-
ning up properly when connected (the oil passes in one
direction only.)
Make sure that there is no mix-up of hoses - Note the
colour markings.

N.B. If the Ioader is equipped with hydraulic imple-
ment locking, remove stopping disc and hook for
locking lever - see mounting instruction for hydraulic
implement locking.
Always check, when changing implements, that the
implement is properly locked in position by pressing the
front end of the implement to the ground.
WARNING
A faulty designed implement could cause damage to the
loader. Therefore never mount an implement of another
make without making sure that the implement has been
approved by ALÖ.
ENGLISH (110:01)
ATTACHING OF IMPLEMENTS
(applies to loaders with tool carriers of type EURO (8)
and EURO-Combi (3 +5 +8.)
- Place the operating lever in open position (left). This
will be easier if the loader beam is lifted 1 m. (Illus. 34
A)
- Incline the tool carrier slightly forwards.
- Drive the loader against the implement so that the
hooks on the implement engage correctly with the tool
carrier. (Illus. 34 B)
- Lift and tilt the implement backwards. The locking
lever will then be disengaged and the implement will be
automatically locked (Illus. 34 C).

*The floating function is coupled when the control
device is brought maximally forwards. The lever should
then stay in this position. Decoupling is made by
bringing the lever in the reverse direction.
** Concerns right-hand mounted control device. As
regards left-hand mounted control device it is possible
to obtain reversed lever movements by shifting the
hydraulic hoses marked yellow-red. See the instruction
supplied with the hydraulic set.
Safety Block: The control device is equipped with a
catch, see illus. 16, which, in locking position (left),
prevents involuntary operating.
Electrical switch (applies to loaders equipped with
electric switch valves)
The lever knob, supplied with the electric valves, is
equipped with three switches acc. to illus. 35.
Function:
Sliding switch (B) in position (1)
and lever in control position for implement function.
Push button (A) = Valve (3rd) in function
Push button (C) = Valve (4th) in function
Sliding switch (B) in position (2)
Push button (A) = Valve (5th) in function
Push button (C) = Valve (4th) in function
Note:
If only one valve (3rd) is mounted, the switch (B) can
be brought into position (2) to prevent involuntary
connection of the valve. This is recommended if the
loader is equipped with hydraulic implement change.

- For maximum stability and to avoid skidding, always
carry implement with load as low as possible.
- When driving the implement into the material to be
handled, always make sure that the valve is in a
neutral position, otherwise the front of the tractor
tends to rear at the moment of drive-in, which would
entail strains on both loader and tractor.
Keep to the following rules: NEVER drive at full speed
into the material. Select a low gear for the best traction.
COUNTER WEIGHT: For overloading and safety
reasons, always use counter-balance with weights
when carrying heavy materials or implements with large
out-reach.
See safety instructions, page 105.
Do not leave the tractor with the loader in ”lift” position
and do not stand beneath the load.
When changing implements, always check that the
implement is properly locked in position by pressing the
front end of the implement to the ground.
OPERATING (Applies to loaders with separate control
valve.)
The control device (MONO handle) has the following
functions:
Lever Movement:
Backwards - Loader beam is lifted
Forwards - Lowering of loader beam + floating
position*
Left **- The implement is crowded upwards
Right ** - The implement is dumped

LEVEL INDICATOR: The loader is equipped with a
level indicator to help the driver judge the position of the
implement when, for example, handling pallets. See
page 108.
PARALLEL DEVICE: If the loader is lowered or the
implement is tilted at low engine speed, the loader rams
may not be totally re-filled, due to low oil flow. This low
oil flow could cause the following:
The loader beam is lifted if the implement is fully
crowded at ground level.
A certain compression of the implement rams, which
may result in the implement not being entirely under
control.
Therefore, always make a practice of either increasing
the engine speed when lowering or emptying the
implement, or keeping the control device in operating
position until the implement has been re-filled.
(Applies especially to tractors with a low oil flow.)
SCREW UNION: After some days’ initial use, check at
intervals that all nuts and bolts are tightened and
especially that the subframes are properly secured to
the tractor body.Thereafter check regularly when
servicing the tractor.
GREASING: All lubricating points (Illus. 39) are equip-
ped with greasing nipples and should be greased at
least once a week when the loader is being used
regularly.
(Use lubricating grease, type B.P. Energrease L.S.-EP2,
or equivalent.)
Grease the control device cables with thin oil. In winter-
time, use defroster (50 % glycol/water). See the Instruc-
tion Manual of the valve.
Always keep tractor and loader clean, in particular the
loader rams and valves.
Don’t forget to put dust-caps on the quick-couplings
when these are disconnected from the loader / the
implement. If you neglect doing that, dirt may get inside
the hydraulic system, causing damage and expensive
repairs.
Do not forget to check the hydraulic oil level and to
change oil and filters regularly according to prescriptions
from the tractor manufacturer.
Cold and dirty oil will increase the time for the lift- and
implement movements of the loader.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS
The AB ÅLÖ-MASKINER Company, in the following also termed the Manufacturer, undertakes to replace or repair
any part where damage has been proved to be caused by defects in material or workmanship.
This Warranty is valid for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the date when the loader was delivered to the Owner.
It is further understood and agreed that the defect should immediately be reported to the Distributor and that the
loader or the defective part shall be placed at the Manufacturer's free disposal after break-down. Where parts have
been replaced or repaired under the terms of this Warranty, the items are guaranteed only until the original Warranty
expires.
The Warranty does not extend to accidents, neglected maintenance, changes or faulty mounting carried out by the
Owner. When making a Warranty exchange of parts, the Owner shall compensate the Manufacturer for the time that
the parts have been used, if they have been exposed to extreme wear.
Compensation is not paid for physical harm, deadlock, resulting damages or other losses.
Should any defects which are attributable to the Manufacturer be found during tests or trouble-shooting executed on
the request of the Owner, the tests or trouble shooting will be free of charge. The Owner will be charged for all costs
not so attributable.
Temporary repairs or additional costs due to the work being carried out after nomal working hours will not be
compensated.

BESKRIVNING
Innan Ni tar lastaren i bruk bedes Ni omsorgsfullt läsa
igenom denna instruktionsbok. Detta är en förutsättning
för att Ni skall undvika driftstörningar och kunna utnyttja
lastaren maximalt.
Speciella monteringsanvisningar medföljer fundament,
ventiler och hydraulanslutningar, vilka är beroende av
traktormodell.
Lastaren är snabbkopplad till fundament, typ system
US, vilka är speciellt anpassade till de flesta traktormo-
deller inom den traktorstorlek den rekommenderats för.
En fundamentsats, se ex. Bild 1 innehåller de detaljer
som erfordras för att fästa lastaren på traktorn, samt
frontskydd* (A). Fundamentsatserna finns, beroende
på traktor och lastarmodell, med eller utan * förläng-
ningar (B) till traktorns bakaxel.

Lastaren ansluts till traktorns hydraulik alternativt med
hjälp av en hydraulsats, bild 2, som innehåller
manöverventil med EN-Spaksreglage och erforderliga
anslutningar, eller med en slangsats, bild 3, som
ansluts till traktorns originalventiler. I de fall slangsats
monteras skall traktorn vara utrustad med två dubbel-
verkande ventiler.
Lastaren kan vid behov utrustas med El-Ventiler för
ytterligare hydraulanslutningar.

BESKRIVNING
Alla ÅLÖ-redskap med typbeteckning EURO (8), se Bild
6, kan monteras på lastaren. Givetvis bör dock red-
skapsstorleken vara anpassad mot lastaren samt typ av
arbete.
Lastaren kan även utrustas med EURO-Combi fäste
som medger att även redskap med infästning typ ÅLÖ
(3) och SMS (5) kan monteras. Se bild 4 resp. 5.
Låsning av redskapet sker automatiskt när redskapet
tippas bakåt (CLICK-ON).
Utrustning för hydraulisk till- och frånkoppling av
redskap finns som tillbehör.
