herzlichen glückwunsch zum kauf ihres
LETTERMAN briefkastens.
1) es gibt zwei möglichkeiten, den pfos-
ten zu befestigen:
a) das verdübeln direkt auf einen geeig-
neten untergrund, wie z. b. beton.
b) die montage mit hilfe des optionalen
erdankers.
bei beiden arten der befestigung achten
sie bitte auf eine lotrechte montage des
pfostens.
2) entfernen sie die transportplatte
bevor sie die den pfosten am boden be-
festigen (a). nach dem verschrauben des
pfostens werden die schrauben mit der
edelstahlblende abgedeckt (b). verwen-
den sie nur edelstahlschrauben.
3) öffnen sie den briefkasten um ihn am
pfosten zu montieren. lassen sie sich
von einer zweiten person helfen.
4) setzen sie von innen eine schraube
mit federring und verstärkungsblech an;
von außen eine der schwarzen distanz-
stücke auf die schraube. schrauben
sie jetzt die erste schraube lose an.
verschrauben sie die übrigen 3 entspre-
chend. danach alle festziehen.
5) zur montage des schlosses stecken
sie es in das vorgesehene loch in der
klappe. prüfen sie ob der riegel beim
schließen nach oben zeigt. das schloss
wird mit der gabelförmigen montage-
zunge von innen durch aufschieben der
zunge befestigt.

LETTERMAN 1, 2 und XXL
6) die mitgelieferte klebefolie kann
bei wunsch als sichtschutz eingeklebt
werden. beachten sie: folie nicht bei
temperaturen unter 10 °C anbringen.
befeuchten sie die glasscheibe mit
wasser, die mit einem tropfen spülmittel
versetzt sein muss. nun die klebefolie
mit der klebeseite zum glas hin aufl e-
gen. drücken sie bitte evtl. entstandene
luftblasen zum rand hinaus. es dauert

1) there are two ways to affi x the LET-
TERMAN post:
a) affi x the dowel directly to a suitable
support , eg. concrete or tarmac.
b) assembly using the ground anchor
which is an optional accessories.
for both types of mounting please en-
sure that the pillar is mounted verti-
cally.
2) please remove the transportation
plate before attaching the post to the
ground (a). after the pillar is screwed
in place, the screws are covered with
the stainless steel cover (b). please use
only stainless steel screws.
3) to mount the mail box to the post
please open it. seek help from another
person.
4) from the inside, attach a screw with
a snap ring and the reinforcement
plate. from the outside, fi t one of the
black spacers to the screw. now loosely
tighten the fi rst screw. screw on the
remaining 3 screws accordingly. now
all the screws can be tightened.
5) to assemble the lock, put it in the
provided hole in the fl ap. make sure
that the latch faces up when closing.
the lock is fastened from the inside
using the spoon-shaped mounting
tongue, sliding the tongue through.
OPTIONAL PORT HOLE FOR
LETTERMAN 1, 2 and XXL
5) if desired, the provided adhesive
fi lm - used for blinds - can be sticked
into the porthole. please notice that
the fi lm can only be fi xed at temperatur
up on 10 °C. moisten the glass plate
with water, that is fi lled with a drop of
washing-up liquid. now put the adhe-
sive fi lm with the adhesive side on the
glass. please press out the bubbles at
the edge of the fi lm. it take 24 hours

7) richten sie den lochkreis des bull-
auges über dem des briefkastens
aus. stecken sie jetzt von außen eine
schraube durch ein vorgesehenes loch.
legen sie von innen eine mutter auf die
schraube und ziehen sie diese mit der
hand an. nachdem sie bei den restlichen
fünf schrauben ebenso verfahren sind
ziehen sie die schrauben mit hilfe eines
schraubenziehers und eines schrauben-
schlüssels (schlüsselweite 8 mm) fest.
OPTION ZEITUNGSROLLE FÜR
LETTERMAN 2 und 5
8) die im lieferumfang enthaltene zei-
tungsrolle (innenliegend im briefkasten
und mit 2 kunststoffstiften fixiert) wird
kräftig herausgezogen und problemlos
mit drei linsenflachkopfschrauben unter
dem briefkasten montiert. HINWEIS: die
einbuchtung der zeitungsrolle sitzt bei
der montage vorne / oben.
OPTION NAMENSSCHILD
9) das mitgelieferte namensschild kann
ganz nach ihrem wunsch am briefkas-
tens angebracht werden.
HINWEIS ZUM AUFSTELLUNGSORT
stellen sie ihren LETTERMAN möglichst
geschützt auf. vermeiden sie es den
briefkasten unter tropfkanten zu mon-
tieren. wasseransammlungen in der
zeitungsrolle sind möglich.
PFLEGEHINWEISE
edelstahl-briefkästen nicht in jodhal-
tiger atmosphäre (z. b.: küstengebiete,
inseln, etc.) aufgestellt werden. eben-
falls kann es in der nähe von industrie-
anlagen und stark befahrenen straßen
zu eisenhaltigen staubablagerungen
kommen, die den briefkasten kontami-
nieren können. es wird empfohlen den
briefkasten alle 4 wochen mit einem
feuchten tuch (farbige briefkästen) oder
mit edelstahl-pflegemitteln (edelstahl
version) zu reinigen. sollte sich jedoch
einmal flugrost bilden, wischen sie die-
sen einfach ab. flugrost bildet sich nur
auf der oberfläche des metalls.

6) align the holes of the porthole with
the ones of the mail box. put a screw,
from the outside, through one hole of
the porthole and put on a nut from the
othersidet. at first, tighten only with
the hand. proceed in the same way with
the other screws and nuts. now tighten
the screws with a screw-driver and a
screw-wrench (wrench side 8 mm).
OPTIONAL NEWSPAPER HOLDER
FOR LETTERMAN 2 and 5
10) the newspaper holder which is
included into the letterman is easily
fixed with three flat lenshead screws
under the mail box. NOTE: the indenta-
tion of the newspaper holder must face
forward.
OPTIONAL NAME PLATE
11) the provided name plate can be
fixed on the letterbox wherever you
desire.
PLACE OF INSTALLATION
please mount your LETTERMAN in the
most weather protected position as
possible. avoid to install the mail box
under drip edges. water retention in the
newspaper roll are possible.
PRODUCT CARE
please note the following instructions
to avoid surface rust and corrosion.
mail boxes made of stainless steel
should not be set up in iodinated at-
mosphere (eg: costal areas, islands,
etc.) it may also lead to iron-containing
dust that can contaminate the mail box
near industrial plants and busy roads.
it is recommended to clean the mail
box every 4 weeks with a damp cloth
(colored mail boxes) or with stainless
steel cleaning product (stainless steel
version). if, however, surface rust ap-
pears, just wipe it off.
