NOTE: Please refer to the Customer Letter and the “IP Office video installation notes”
document for details about IP Office configuration.

System Installation and Activation
1. Connect all cables to the XT Endpoint Codec Unit (see overleaf).
The Power supply must be connected after all other connections
have been established.
2. Turn on the TV monitors. The monitor on HDMI1 is mandatory, while
the monitor on HDMI2 is optional.
3. Make sure the remote control has batteries installed.
4. Verify the LED on the front panel of the Codec Unit is turned on.
5. If the codec unit does not turn on automatically, press the button on
the remote control.
6. The main menu appears on the monitors.
Product Registration
1. Open the envelope that came with the XT Endpoint.
2. Locate the serial number and product key.
3. On a computer, open a browser and navigate to
http://licensing.radvision.com.
4. Complete the online registration form and enter the serial number
and product key. The web registration form returns a license key.
5. Write down the license key and enter it when required by the system.
Country and Language
of Interface
1. The System Name field displays
the name of this Codec Unit as
displayed in a videoconference,
for example:
• Hong Kong, or
• 9th Floor Conf Rm
2. Use the remote control keypad to
type the name. Press OK to toggle
letters or numbers and lower/upper case.
3. Select the Country and preferred Language.
4. Then select Next.
Graphics and
Image Setup
If all the sides of the triangles
1 and 2 are visible on your monitor,
select next.
1. Otherwise, press 1 to adjust the
position of the top left corner.
2. Use the arrow keys to move the
selected triangle until it is fully
visible on your monitor.
Press OK when done.
3. Press 2 to adjust the position of the
bottom right corner.
4. Repeat the procedure using the
arrows.
5. Press OK and Next when done.
Network Settings
1. Enter your network settings.
Please note that we strongly
recommend using a static
IP address.
2. If you prefer using Automatic IP
settings then select Next.
Gatekeeper Settings
1. Set the Use Gatekeeper to No.
2. Then select Done.
Moving the Camera
1. On the main menu, navigate to
Control Camera using the arrow keys
and press OK.
2. Use the arrow keys to move the
camera to the preferred position.
3. Repeat the procedure if you have a
second camera installed.
4. Press Back when done.
Register the XT
with IP Office
1. Set Configure > General > Show
Advanced Settings to Yes
2. Select Configure > Advanced >
Protocols > SIP (default PIN for
Advanced configuration is 1234)
3. Change the SIP settings as follows:
a. User: Set this to match the extension
number of the IP Office user
configured on the IP Office system.
b. Authentication Name: Set this
to match the Name set on the
IP Office user.
c. Authentication Password: Set this
to match the Login Code set on the
IP Office user.
d. Use SIP Registrar: Set to Yes.
e. Registrar DNS Name: Set to the
IP Office system’s IP address
or FQDN.
f. Use SIP Proxy: Set to Yes.
g. Proxy DNS Name: Set to the IP
Office system’s IP address or FQDN.
h. Proxy Model: Leave this set to Auto.
i. Transport Outbound Call: Set this
to UDP.
j. UDP/TCP Listening Port: Set this to
match the IP Office system setting.
The default is 5060.
k. TLS: set this to No
4. Select Save.
Install XT Desktop server
1. Download the Scopia XT Desktop Server software from the link
provided in the Customer Letter.
2. Download the Deployment Guide for Scopia XT Desktop from the link
provided in the customer letter and follow the instructions.
3. Install the Scopia XT Desktop Server on a dedicated PC server
(Windows Server 2008/2012).
