Installation and Operation Instructions

1. General and Safety Warnings
Please read safety instructions.
This condensate neutralizer meets current safety requirements; improper use may cause
damage to health and/or property.
Do not store the product and spare parts near heat sources and keep them away from frost.
Do not use this product to filter air, compressed gas or any other liquid apart from water.
Install it only to neutralize condensate from condensing boilers.
Before installing the neutralizer, verify that the operation of the heating system is in compliance
with current regulations.
2. Proper Use
Acid condensate produced during condensation boiler operation shall be neutralized in
condensate neutralizer; in order to be discharged freely, its pH shall be within certain range.
Install the neutralizer on the condensate drain; the tube that exits from the neutralizer can be
routed into a normal sewer drain.
Condensate flowing from the boiler combustion chamber has a pH value of 4.
The condensate should have pH between 5.5 and 9 to be permitted to discharge freely into sewer.
Condensate neutralizer by Manta Ecologica shall be installed under the boiler, since it works on
gravity principle, downstream the condensate flow, and it can be routed into a normal sewer drain,
as it brings the pH back to neutral values (about pH 7).
Both the container and cartridge are transparent in order to allow easy verification of the charge and the
cartridge condition, and if it needs a cartridge replacement.
The charge is gradually consumed as the condensate is neutralized.
Once the contents is exhausted, the cartridge shall be replaced with a new one.
The pace of its consumption depends on the use and output of the boiler.
Theoretical condensate volume:
Natural gas = 0,16 l/h x kW
LPG = 0,13 l/h x kW
GPL (butane) = 0,12 l/h x kW
Do not replace the cartridge until the neutralization grains are completely exhausted.

4. Installation
Connect the pipes to the neutralizer with cylindrical connections only (see Fig. A).
Ensure that the water flow corresponds to the direction indicated by the arrows (IN/OUT) printed
on the head of the neutralizer.
Do not use hemp. paste, silicon; use Teflon tape instead (see Fig. B).
Respect all the dimensions shown in Fig. C:
WARNING:
Make sure of the perfect lock of filters during their operation. Otherwise acid liquid leaks may
occur.

1. The warranty period is 24 months from the date of purchase.
2. The product shall be installed and commissioned by a competent company or a person
trained by the manufacturer.
3. When claiming warranty, this Warranty Certificate must be submitted together with
the purchase receipt.
4. The warranty is valid only when the technical conditions set by the Manufacturer,
installation manual and instructions in the documentation and on the product itself are
maintained.
5. The warranty does not cover defects caused by external conditions or improper working
conditions, defects caused by normal wear and tear, further when the product is not used
in compliance with its purpose and when the defect was caused by mechanical damage
to the product, improper handling, tampering by a third person, improper installation,
improper stocking, natural disaster etc.
